"Born and raised, I also used to be a recruiter. I enjoyed the outside world, but Veritas is my home."

"The fact that I don't have to go anywhere near vampires if I can help it. They can stay in their little caves."

He does fear humanity, after having a rather rough run in with hunters in the outside world. Hunters are also the reason Clara ended up coming into his care. He's afraid of the lengths they'd go to, just to hunt someone down for something they were unable to control - being born supernatural.

Despite having his regenerative healing, Dawson got into many fights as a teenager enough that he often had a broken nose. Eventually, it would heal, but it healed wrong. He can't be bothered to fix it.

WANTED CONNECTIONS
Ex best friend - will post a wc, but basically the two of them were very close growing up, and he adored them. He eventually realised he had feelings, but it was too late - they were with another. The other's partner made them choose, and after an argument, they chose their partner, which broke his heart. They haven't really talked since, but I have the idea they've split from their partner and have come tumbling back into his life.
His siblings - will post a wc, but he has two siblings ! A sister and a brother, and he's the oldest. However, after a rather horrid falling out with his father, their relationship is strained. He loves his siblings, but they often try to get him to return home, and he's too stubborn too.
Friends - probably just as grumpy as he is, but perhaps someone who softens him a little.
Ex pack mates - he kind of abandoned his pack years ago when he ended up marrying a wixen and temporarily leaving moonlit creek.
Perhaps another ex or two since he got divorced at 23? I imagine it didn't end well, especially with him travelling a lot and generally being a grumpy git.
The reason he hates vampires so much - unsure as to why, but im imagining something dramatic happened. But if anyone wants to throw a vampire at him to really loathe, hit me up.

No, though I have grown quite fond of the place, I do sometimes miss those I loved from back home and long to know how they are fairing. I could never return, though, the responsibility that was put on my shoulders was much too grave for me. I am not meant to be a royal.

Exploring, I like that I have the freedom to roam about without anyone knowing who I truly am. In addition, the place is stunning and being able to invest in new places is definitely enjoyable.

Just my mother and other fae who may know who I am and want to ruin and use this against me to take away from the life I've created for myself in Veritas Isles. I don't fear humans, I find them fascinating!

Have you always been aware of your abilities?: No, I was unaware of them at first, our father hiding them from us. It wasn't until I realised that mentally talking to fish was unusual, that I realised I wasn't entirely human.
Favorite Magical Items: An enchanted compass, spelled by a witch with a locator spell that it would always point in the direction of where his sister was, so that he can always find his way back to her after being separated for so long.
What supernatural creature is your character most scared of?: He's not really scared of any of them, honestly. Mostly curious, and maybe a slight bit wary.
Who or what would they die for? His twin, his crew, what he believes is right.
Does your character fight or flee? He's more of a plotter. He lurks in the background, planning the best form of attack and then fights, and due to his usual nature, he's often underestimated.

He was once given a choice to run away from the life of a pirate, from the horrible reign of his father by his first love. However, he realised that in doing so, he would be abandoning his sister, and that he would be homesick for the ocean. So, he left them, as much as it broke his heart to do so. He hasn't seen them since.

Who or what would they die for? These days, there's very little Baz would die for, as he tends to keep to himself. However, those he does eventually let in, he would die for without hesitation.
Does your character fight or flee? Baz would fight, no hesitation. He rarely flees.

"I was born in England, I only moved to the island after I got turned into a vampire. I faked my death and moved to Veritas to gain control over what I had become, and to protect my sisters from the monster I had become. The thing I miss most about the world outside would be them, but they're long gone now."

"My favourite part would be the neutral town, Justport. I'm not entirely completely fond of most of the vampires within the community, so being able to socialise outside of my kind is a relief. Not that I socialise much."

"After being hunted by hunters the minute after I was turned, I do tend to be wary of humans, yes. I'm almost waiting for the day the humans on the island decide we're all too dangerous to keep around."

Baz was trained to become a warrior the moment he was born, his father often trying to beat any kind of weakness out of him. He wasn't allowed to be soft, and that's usually something he carries even now, with his father long gone. He used to take the brunt of his father's disappointment and anger in order to protect his sisters, and so when he went to leave for the island, he killed his own father to protect his sisters from any future harm he may have caused them.

WANTED CONNECTIONS
Confidante - His best friend, without a doubt, someone who constantly calls him out on his shit. They were another immortal, the one who told him about Veritas and actually came with him to the island.
Close Friend - Perhaps one of the very few people, other than his confidante, Baz has actually let in since coming to the island.
His Ex Lover/Sire - The closest thing Baz has ever had to a real relationship, that he ended after the man wished to turn him & Baz refused. His ex turned him out of spite and Baz has refused to see the man since, despising him.
Flings - Both past & present, Baz doesn't do relationships, and if there's feelings on the other side ( since he would blatantly ignore his own ) he would cut it off immediately.
Enemies - People he clashes with, Baz can't stand those who believe they're above everyone else, and he will let it be known. ( can also be ewbs...)
Clients - People he's had to protect in the past, or is currently protecting due to being private security. He almost basically works as a bodyguard most of the time.
Descendants from his sister(s) - They'd technically be his like great nieces/nephews or something, but this could be interesting. I'm also possibly going to put out a wanted connection for his youngest sister, who could have also been turned.

Have you always been aware of your abilities?: No, as a child, my father tried to make sure I wasn't aware as he didn't want me being able to overpower him, though that turned out to be a very grave error for him. As I've gotten to learn and understand them, however, I have come to enjoy them more than I initially did.
Favorite Magical Items: Oh, my enchanted conch shell, of course ! I was hesitant toward it upon first receiving it, but after getting to know and understand it, it's truly a comforting thing to have whenever I feel anxious or stressed. Listening to the voices of the sea has always calmed me. In addition, though I'm not sure it's truly a magical item, I uncovered a seashell amulet my dad had hidden that belonged to our mother that I never take off.
What supernatural creature is your character most scared of?: Hmm, admittedly humans are quite terrifying despite not being supernatural and when they band together and manipulate those with power, it becomes even more terrifying. I've also always been weary of vampires.
Who or what would they die for? Their brother and their crew.

No, though I've heard rumors that my mother was or at least, has ties to this island though I've yet to meet someone that claims to be her or knows anything about her. Not that I know much myself.

Being close to my brother and crew, though I do miss the days when we were out on the sea, it has also been nice to keep them close while connecting with other merfolk and learning more about my roots.

Yes, given the tales they've been told of how humans treat merfolk, it's impossible not to be, though there are laws against it at Veritas Isles, being raised by a pirate, she knows more than anyone that laws are made to be broken.

Yes, I was. I read quite a bit, so naturally, I am curious about the places in the books I read about. I am curious if the rest of the world is better or worse off than we are. I have once debated traveling, though I fear if I did, I might never come back.
QUESTION TWO: what is your favorite part about the island?
the nature and the diversity of it, we have mountains, beaches, creeks, just about anything you might desire. my favorite part, however is my own cottage and the inlet of water nearby.

no, they actually tend to favor humans over their own these days, after all that has happened, though they'd never speak this aloud. they do, however fear that they might not be the safest company for humans. that, and some books have made them weary of humans with power, though honestly they are weary of anyone with power.

MISSING FAMILY TW. not necessarily fun, but Magnus was once engaged. There were plans for a wedding after the birth of his first child, but they wanted to focus on the childbirth and first year of their life, first. However, one horrendous day led to both his child and his beloved being taken away from him due to them defending themselves. He's not sure if they're even still alive, which is perhaps the worst part. He goes out almost daily to the point where they always agreed to meet up should they need to flea daily, desperately hoping that by some miracle one or both will be there. that, or that someone will come with news on what has happened to them, anything is better than the not knowing. This is going to be a wanted connection at some point, though I do imagine that she is not a werewolf. perhaps they don't even have memory of Magnus or it has been altered.
additional thought: i imagine when the kid was three, perhaps the family was camping or something in another location that the kid somehow managed to wander away from the parents ( not far ) but stumbled across rogue vampires or something and without hesitation, Magnus took one or two out, one escaping made a case against him ( perhaps they had power or are related to some person with power ) and obviously won.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
At one point, he was very involved with the pack and even had a voice within the council through a close friend of his. He enjoyed it, quite a bit, however, once his family was ripped away from him, he saw all the harm that was caused and moved out. He still has a couple trusted childhood friends that he keeps in contact with and they update him, but beyond that he wants nothing to do with his pack or the council.

Her wings are actually tiny, broken stubs at this point, as they were cut/torn off. She wasn't his first victim, but she was certainly his last, as she got him thrown onto the Forgotten Isle. It's been decades, and her wings still haven't recovered, nor has she been able to fly since.

BIO before veritas.
Stefan's early years may have seemed typical from an outsider's perspective, growing up in a stable household with two loving parents. However, behind the façade of family harmony, his parents' love for each other had waned, leading to persistent disagreements over their contrasting parenting philosophies. Despite their differences, they chose to stay together for the sake of their child.
During his childhood, Stefan found solace in the world of movies, books, and online chat groups, both with classmates and strangers. It served as a refuge from the constant discord at home. Just as he settled into this routine, a major life change was on the horizon. Instead of starting his high school journey, Stefan embarked on a new chapter by moving to Mexico with his mother, where they reunited with her family. The plan was for his father to join them later, but what was supposed to be a brief separation extended to a year. Although Stefan and his father maintained a strained connection through phone calls, it was evident that their relationship was in turmoil.

While he’ll often do odd jobs for cash, including hacking gigs, Wes’ main focus is the social media site he created solely for the island. He called it Pigeon, after joking to someone if he had to contact them through carrier pigeon when they mentioned they didn’t have social media on the island. He mostly did it for a laugh, and didn’t expect it to actually get popular.

Father Figure / Mentor - They found him left abanoned the night after the full moon, having been bitten and reluctantly took him in, but has grown ( somewhat reluctantly ) fond of him over the year.
Sire - The wolf that bit him, it would have been a year ago, and they would have been somewhere in the outside world.
Childhood Best Friend - They'd be 24, probably Australian & I'm thinking a witch. They adored Weston, wanting to protect him from harm. When they moved away, they gave Weston a charm necklace for protection. It's what saved his life the night of the wolf attack. They've not seen each other since they were young, though, and he was unaware they were a witch.
Foster Family - He was in foster care for eighteen years, if anyone is from the outside world & Australia, they could have been in foster care with him.
Friends - He's pretty sociable, and I imagine he's found several friends whilst coming to the island.
Close friends - Since meeting them, they're as thick as thieves, despite only knowing each other a short time.
Packs ?? - He's a lone wolf right now, so perhaps they're trying to recruit him??
