The Judge’s choice: scrapped and original draft ideas.

Since my Fanfiction is reaching the end of the first series, I thought it’d be cool to let y’all know some of the Orignal Draft Ideas I had planned before I began writing and changed them:

Sandstorm was originally going to remain Firehearts mate and they would have a litter around the time of Silverstreams canon death which led to how Feathertail and Stormfur ended up in Thunderclan.

Speckletail was supposed to die last chapter.

Snowheart was supposed to die in this chapter.

Fireheart was going to kill herself via jumping into the ravine to go after Jaggedtooth in the dark forest.

Hollykit and Larchkit were supposed to be dead as well.

Graystripe was supposed to die in the dog run.

Lionheart was supposed to die instead of Frostfur which would’ve given us deputy Frostfur.

Redtail was originally still going to die at sunningrocks. However, Fireheart would still save Oakheart and he would expose Tigerclaw after the Riverclan rescue.

Crookedstar kidnapped Fireheart because Mapleshade was ruining her life and he was trying to get himself sent to the DF to defeat Mapleshade and free Fireheart. (completely scrapped idea, since the bases of Mapleshades obsession with Fireheart had yet to take root at the time Crookedstar kidnapped her)

Bluestar was originally going to have one last kit before her death but I decided she was too old by that time.

Silverstream and Mistyfoot originally stayed in Riverclan.

Mistyfoot was going to drown in the Riverclan floods.

Mothwing was going to be evil.

Mousefur was going to die in the dog attacks.

Brightheart and Swiftstorm were going to be mates until I realized they were cousins.

Ruby was originally Bloodclans leader and Princess was a savannah cat.

Jake was going to be in Windclan.

Nutmeg and Jake would appear during Bloodclans meeting and call out Firehearts orgins.

Yellowfang was supposed to die in chapter 13.

Marigoldpetal was going to show up and demand Fireheart come to Shadowclan and reconnect before Yellowfang died.

Darkstripe was going to leave with Tigerclaw.

Fireheart had no feral side.

Redstar was denied by Starclan because they wanted Fireheart to be leader.

Starclan had no idea of Firehearts past life.

Fireheart had no power and was reincarnated as Bluestars last kit in the original draft after the fox killed her but I decided that was stupid. Why lure y’all in with the promise of giant Fireheart only to snatch her away.

Fireheart was supposed to have kits with Longtail after a short fling in the chapter after her break up with Silverstream.

Silverstream was originally going to be a villan who became mates with Fireheart to convince her to have kits then stole the kits for Riverclan.

Brambleclaw was originally supposed to stay in Thunderclan but I hate him.

Mosskit never appeared in the first draft.

Blight was supposed to be a ruthless dictator who killed Frostflower for going behind her back and mating with a forest cat. This would drive Cloudtail to the forest.

Tawnypelt was never supposed to live to adulthood.

Tulipkit was originally going to live but I decided against it as there was nothing Fireheart could have done.

Perchkit and Pikekit were both supposed to die.

Ravenfeather was going to be evil.

So was Mistlenose. I originally kept her alive to become a villan but decided on a new character with a better motive which is why Mistlenose is currently pushing daisies.

Fireheart was going to accidentally kill Silverstream but i transformed that idea into a dream sequence because i love my useless lesbians.

Longtail was never going to be blinded but I decided to say fuck ableism, he can be a warrior while blind.

The elders were going to be taken by Bloodclan and given to Twolegs.

Princess was the original main character.

Graystripe was going to lash out and kill Fireheart after Sandstorms death, by accident of course.

Fireheart was going to wait until she was fully grown to leave for the forest.

OG idea for this fic: Savannah cat Fireheart was taken in around the time of Mapleshades birth and grew up with her, saving her kits but not being able to save Mapleshade. She raised Petalkit, Latchkit, and Patchkit after threatening to bring her true kin down on Thunderclan if they didn’t let the kits stay. Due to her long lifespan, she lived well into the first series.

Mickie was going to die instead of Buck.

Bluestar was going to live until she died of old age but I needed a reason for Fireheart to hate Jaggedtooth so much more than all her clanmates.

Oakheart was never supposed to know about Firehearts power. It wasn’t until after i posted the chapter that I realized “Oh fuck, he saw the body, didn’t he?”

Fireheart was going to be a medicine cat because she didn’t want to hurt anyone with her large size.

There were originally going to be wars over who got to keep Fireheart.

Ravenfeather was going to fall in love with Fireheart but I decided not to go the forbidden love route.
