{xxxHOLiC} x "Leave Out All The Rest" {A.M.V.} ~ Shizuka Dōmeki x Kimihiro Watanuki {DOUWATA} / {WATADOU}

Happy Birthday, Watanuki & C.L.A.M.P Day, {Watanuki & Dōmeki}! (Apr. 1st in J.S.T!!)

This was an A.M.V. I originally meant to make a long, long time ago, basically around 2k10's 'Holic' fanbase era, but it got put on hold for many years for various reasons, including the fact my video editor basically half-stopped working very well during that timeframe. Since then, I saw "Rou: Adayume", and was inspired to finally try an A.M.V. for them! {This is a preliminary version/1st drafted attempt, and a 'finalized' version may be shared some day down the road.} This A.M.V. in total took about 1~2 hours to make, but a literal 10+ years of planning off and on in my head!!

{With bonus appearances from: - Haruka Dōmeki [1st verse] {briefly} - Yūko Ichihara [2nd verse] {minimal} - Yōkai Boy (Watanuki's childhood 'friend') - Yōkai Woman [Final sections] - C!Sakura, C!Syaoran, and R!"Syaoran" (All as Friendship) - There is a scene at the end with audio from Shunmuki.}

Just found your blog and Im drowning on all the CLAMP and HxH love l. You have my full support. To think i once believed CCS was nothing more than a cute kids story.. I give you all my support for WatanukixDoumeki (my absolutr favorite pairing) , and all the TRC cast. I dont think i can choose much more favorites, but the art is really amazing. I feel like reading it all over again (and hopefully understand it better)

Thank you!! Clamp really is amazing. CCS is their softest manga and its SO different from all their other stuff i really understand why some people really just stay there, but they have some really amazing stories out there... 

I really recommend rereading TRC specially if you read it a long time ago because you will probably understand everything more clearly since it gets a bit messy. (I also really love douwata....Clamp knew what they were doing with them and its still so painful but so well written)

On DouWata (Not flaming)

So I, um...

I'm a Watanuki/Yuuko shipper, right?

But I pretty much accept DouWata as one of the cannon couples in the manga. At least from Doumeki's side.

I still think Watanuki loved and will always love Yuuko, and that Yuuko loved him. But maybe the reason why I find this couple more beautiful is that it never really came to culmination and chances are that they'll have to go on just adoring each other from different sides of the abyss for a loooong while (Until CLAMP get tired of trolling us fans and give Holic a proper ending, that is) 

However, Doumeki did his best so that Watanuki weren't alone on his time in the shop, protected him and cared for him. And despite having the power to make Watanuki forget all about Yuuko and thus avoid the 100 years of awaiting and allow them to live their lives together he decided not to use it because it would make him sad. If that's not love, I don't know what is. 

On another note, I'm rather bothered by how some people state Doumeki married Kohane out of...obligation or pity. CLAMP has many times made the point that a person can love multiple times and I think the kind of love Doumeki felt for Kohane, though not as deep and noble as the one he had for Watanuki, was still legimitate and romantic. I mean, they had KIDS. Neither of them seem to me like the kind of person to go 'Hmmm, hey, we're kinda supposed to have offsprings, so pull down your underpants'. Just....no.
