I cant believe that are people who ship guero and teresa(saw on twitter and i was like eww). Like, we havent even seen their relationship develop. They met, danced, kissed and fucked on the same night, flashforward 6 month after they are a couple and then he "dies"-and all of this happens in ONE episode. Guero is a big NO for me. I'd say the only good thing he's done was faking his death, so jeresa could meet lol.
Hey, anon! I believe in ship and let ship (unless it’s fucked up). I can believe there are people who ship it if for no other reason than they’re both pretty and the doomed romance angle the writers were pushing. But yeah, to understate things, it’s not for me.
In many ways you’re right, the best thing he ever did was cooperate with the DEA because had he gone to help Teresa I doubt things would’ve worked out well for them in the long run. Guero was a fuck up. He just was, it’s what he did more than anything else. He was Epifanio’s godson, he was well-liked, he was capable enough to rise quickly in the Vargas cartel but he got greedy and sloppy and destroyed everything. He had someone amazing like Teresa and he screwed her over. He burned Camila’s warehouse; Teresa would’ve been arrested and deported back to Mexico. Deportation means ending up in Epifanio Vargas’ hands in less than 72 hours. He entrusted their lives to his angry, vengeful ex-girlfriend who of course sold them out. Because of him Teresa almost died at least three times in Bolivia. He was spotted by the cops and instead of getting himself out of it he called Teresa; who, again, would’ve been deported had she been caught. He left her in Chicago to go murder Epifanio! I still can’t believe that the show didn’t address how monumentally reckless that was! He’s forced to leave and less than a week later Epifanio is murdered? He thought no one would find that timing suspicious and that if Camila so much as suspected that it was him that she’d just, what? Leave Teresa out of it? Teresa would have been tortured to death, is what would have happened. She would’ve spent 8 months being cut on. Then when they’re being hunted and they’re outnumbered and he’s injured he tells her she didn’t need to call for backup because he was jealous of the guy she called for help? No backup means death, there’s no question. Like, being a fuckup was in his DNA. Had he made the boat nothing good would have followed.
