seeing sashannarcy all grown up makes me so emotional :,)

me making a thread about these three bc i love them so much i hold them dear to my heart (i’m not crying you’re crying)

we’ve watched these kids when they were just in middle school. they were irrational, made terrible decisions, and their motives and actions sometimes ended up hurting the people they loved so dearly. they had issues, and they had to encounter them face to face since it caused them to have their lives at stake.

they know their mistakes, they know their flaws. it hurt their pride.

it took all three of them a while to accept that this was a part of who they were, this WAS who they were, and eventually…

they decided to step up. to take the opportunity. to be better people. for the world, for their loved ones, for each other, and for themselves.

and along with accepting their mistakes, they chose to face reality. rather than avoid it. marcy moved to a new state, the trio started to slowly drift apart over the course of high school. they were away from each other yet again.

yet these 3 individuals, who were so afraid of letting go of each other, have now accepted the truth. that life will take them different directions. that they won’t always be together. it’s okay to let go.

and to see them, 10 years later, after facing life, the hurdles of high school, then college, marcy writing a webcomic, sasha becoming a psych major, and anne being a herpetologist, they meet each other again.

and they are still as close as they were when they were kids. their friendship, their bond is still intact. because it’s that strong, it doesn’t matter if they separate. they’ll always come back to each other.

and now that they’ve learned to live without each other, they‘ve unlearned their unhealthy codependency tendencies. they’re more mature. now they’re not insecure about their friendship. they know it’s real.

we don’t know what will happen to them after that 10 years timeskip. life could stir them up again, they could face harsh journeys again, but at least now, they have experience, and they’ll be ready to face them

what journey will they go on next? only time will tell…
