#creating an order of soldiers/warriors to rival the confessors IS very much in line with the rahls #who exert control by shaping the world in such a way that there is simply no other choice for those around them #they occupy *so much* of the daily lives of their people. from the magical bonds that protect them to the empire-wide social programs #so it makes complete sense that they'd try and create something to fit that need of the midlands as part of their encroach #it's just ... kind of an ick the way goodk.ind's kink gets inserted and how that carries into the show #which raim.i kind smoothes over with a much campier tone than the books but 💀 #OOC.
