Not all of these are direct inspirations- some of them are characters that in hindsight reminded me of Storm and now I can’t help but think of them in relation to him. Further details about each one under the cut! (it’s a long one because Idk how to shut up)

1- The GUN Truck. Yes this is not a character but it was a very direct inspiration to Storm as he is now SHDGSH. Storm started out in a main verse that was more of a mix of the games and Sonic SatAM. And then a bit later on, on iScribble (houghhh) a RP got started where OCs worked for GUN. So I made an ‘Agent Storm’ au for Storm. He was more chaotic and zany than his then-main verse counterpart- since this RP started out as a shitposty chat RP. The Sonic Generations trailer that showed off the insane GUN Truck with the buzzsaws had also recently come out, so I decided to make his role as the person insane enough to drive that thing.

As time went on the silly little chat RP ended up having actual serious plots, and as ‘Agent Storm’ developed I ended up liking him much more than his then-main verse version, so he ended up becoming the new main-verse.

I don’t think he’d quite be what he is now if it wasn’t for that initial bit of ‘who would be crazy enough to drive that truck. With the buzzsaws specifically. THIS GUY’

So now whenever I see that truck I also can’t help but think ‘MY BLORBO IS DRIVING THAT!!!’ I’ve cursed my friends with these same thoughts towards it HSGDHSGD

2- Edward Elric- They’re shorter than those around them and angry about it, smart (though Storm keeps that on the downlow) and they’re little shits that have actually experienced too much at too young an age. Fight-wise they’re both good at making plans on the spot, and get in trouble that leads to a broken prosthetic too often. Though fortunately for Storm, he’s his own mechanic

How prosthetics work in FMA was a basis to how Storm’s own prosthetics work-including him needing one made of different materials in the winter. That was my favorite detail about it. I feel like other series didn’t really think ‘that cool robot arm/leg is metal and it’s connected right to the flesh- that’s not a good combo for winter’- I didn’t think of that until FMA either because I was too lost in the ‘robot arm cool’ sauce

Lastly Storm also has a tendency to befriend his enemies- which is in general a shonen trope I know, and not the last one that can apply to him

3- Mugen-Like Ed, he is a lil shit. But a lethal lil shit-- not that Ed couldn’t be, he just avoids that. Storm does also avoid it when he can, so he’s more like a mix of the two. Can be very lethal, largely avoids it, but Will kill if he sees it as something he has to do

I watched Samurai Champloo in a period where I was trying to figure out how to write fight scenes and what kinda fighting style Storm’d have- Mugen is a skilled swordsman that starts shit fully confident he can finish it (and often does), with people falling for any bait he sets because they underestimate him due to how undisciplined he acts. All these can be applied to Storm- and the most direct inspiration was how he fights by incorporating breakdancing in his moves whether he’s using a sword or not

4-Rocky- I made Storm a bit before I started reading Lackadaisy. But once I started reading it, he was one of those ‘oh man he reminds me of Storm so much. How did I make such a similar character omg’ situations. Cheshire grin cats that are magnets for trouble, and get into things they prrrobably shouldn’t. Goofs in the kinda businesses you wouldn’t expect, honestly

This is a more recent development but- for years I wouldn’t be able to find any kinda voice claim for Storm. I’d find ones for the very rare cases where he gets really serious, but nothing for ‘this is what Storm sounds like on the regular’

Until the voices for the upcoming Lackadaisy short animation got shown off. And Michael Kovach’s performance finally hit that ‘THATS IT THATS THE VOICE!!!’ spot. Like just imagine Rocky speaking with a southern accent and you have the way Storm’d speak

I can’t believe we’ve come full circle

5-Deadpool was a very direct inspiration for how Storm started out as ‘Agent Storm’. He was the ‘comedy relief guy’ in his unit, much to their annoyance, but he was still lethal. He seems to have no ‘mute’ button, and will crack jokes even in big dangerous situations. Storm dual wielding both guns and katanas at the time was because of Deadpool. And while ‘guy that can be either a hero or a villain depending on who you ask, works by his own set of morals that no one knows, maybe not even him’ kinda developed on it’s own, it probably still was my brain drawing bits and pieces from that initial Deadpool inspiration.

6- Wander. This is 100% one of those ‘in hindsight these characters are so similar in some ways’ and this year when I re-watched WoY I couldn’t help but think of Storm, especially with the development of his friendship with @cyanide-coffee’s V. They’re both fuzzy lil universe traveling guys that are best friends/family with a grumpy gnc horse lizard that can and will kill for them HSGDSHHD

While Storm isn’t such a pacifist and in fact LOVES to fight, at his core he just wants to help people where he can, sometimes to his own detriment. And sometimes it comes in the form of him annoying people with attempts to be friendly @ them.

And deep, deep down, buried and hidden away, that desire to help people when they need it comes from a scared little kid that needed some help of his own

Yes!!! A thousand times yes!! I love talking to people, both in character and out- and hearing people ramble about their muses is so much fun to me!! What's your writing style like? How frequently should I expect replies?

I'm so glad you asked!!! My writing style is fluid, and I can match lengths- I always try to have at least two paragraphs!! (I can also get a little verbose and write replies that look a little more like research papers- but there's no pressure to match lengths!! I can usually work with just about anything!! 😊) I try to respond as early as I conveniently can, even if my activity can be a little sporadic- especially when my exam seasons roll around, or if I’m having a health flare up!! I'll never hound you for replies- and I'll always understand if you have low muse, or just need to drop a thread! I (hope) I’m a really low maintenance rp partner; you could vanish for a whole year and come back, and I’d still be more than happy to write with you!

Is shipping okay?

Absolutely!!! 🥺 Angel's an interesting sort of muse, and it would definitely have to rely on chemistry if it ever did happen- but nothing's impossible, and I'm always open to plotting something out with you!

Between TMZ and TLC, GloJo's agent had an... interesting approach to athletic promotion lol

BG's agent is of course the legend herself Lindsay Kagawa Colas. She represents basically the entire Sue Bird-Diana Taurasi clique. Maya, Seimone, Nneka, Sue, Stewie, Jewell, DT and BG. 6 easy clients and 2 challenging ones.

Both DT and BG are natural stars and performers. They light up an arena. They come alive on camera. And they love to entertain. But they are each PR nightmares in their own unique ways.

DT's crude unfiltered humor was enough to give any agent a headache. But there was also her tendency to get political, badmouth her main sponsor Nike, and call out the WNBA's shortcomings. In games, she was always spitting on the court and touching every ass she could, refs and opponent coaches included. She was equal parts basketball superstar and rodeo clown. Also, the technicals, ejections, suspensions, jail, and an international competition ban.

DT is engaging and entertaining, but putting her on camera was a wild card. Her interview charm could get crude, critical, or political. But BG wasn't so confrontational. Her charm was always folksy and cute.

But while DT was painstakingly discreet about her personal life, BG's personal life was her entire brand. At first that seemed to work okay. Kagawa landed BG that book deal and opportunities to speak out as an anti-bullying activist.

But BG also wanted her personal life brand to be about her dating life. And her dating life was very, very, very, extremely, messy and annoying. And she shared every second of it on social media.

Now, you gotta understand, BG went viral in high school. Social media was good to her. And maybe she thought it would keep being good to her if she kept going viral. I think DT might have a gift for prophecy because here's what she wrote about it on her blog in 2008:

I got dozens of text messages about lil' Griner as soon as her video made it to Yahoo Sports... I'm guessing Griner doesn't already have a master PR plan grindin', but I gotta give it to her! Griner may just be on her way to benefiting Tila Tequila style if she (or Baylor!) responds right....

Yes, Dee. That's exactly right. Tila Tequila. BG became the Tila Tequila of sports. When she went pro, she realized it was a lot harder to dunk on Sylvia Fowles than on college kids. Her pro game couldn't be as flashy as her college game. So her personal life got very flashy and very viral.

So while the 2014 Mercury were "chasing glory" (yes... this was literally their season motto...) BG proposed to Glory.

"Maturity?" Mercury teammate Diana Taurasi asks, laughing as Griner is goofing off and telling jokes in the locker room following the Mercury's series-clinching victory vs. the Sparks. "I think last year was a big learning experience for her going from college to the WNBA. It's a mindset. …The best part about Brittney that will never change is she's so real. She's not faking. That'd be corny. Since she's come into the league, there's been no hiding. It isn't something everyone wants to talk about, but in our sport it's in your face. It's almost silly not to talk about it. Her openness has helped change that perception."

It is silly not to talk about it. But I guess Dee has always been silly lol.

After winning the championship, the drama and social media and viral shit just kept escalating. It was like BG and Glory were trying to one-up themselves every week.

And where was DT through all this? I think most of her energy went into teaching BG what to do on the pro court. Off the court, she was helping Penny through her parents' deaths. So she was very hands off with BG. She let BG do her thing, live her extremely public life, and make her extremely public mistakes. And then she dragged her to central Russia and gave her an opportunity to reflect on it all.

"I feel like if you have to make a concerted effort to mentor, you really don't give a shit about that person," Taurasi says. "It's about you and how mentoring makes you feel. BG is my good friend and I have casual conversations of things I've been through, or someone else has, and you take what you take from it." "And that's what I love," Griner says. "We're just talking, it's not formal. Just two hoopers talking." "Everyone is like, 'What have you taught her?'" Taurasi says. "Nothing. She's learned everything herself. The only way you learn things is by going through things yourself. I'm pretty sure, up until the moment I got behind the wheel drunk, I'd heard 'Don't drink and drive' a million times. At some point, you have to make up your own mind about who you want to be, about why you're making the decisions you make. When you make decisions and you know why you're making them, you take the power back. You're making decisions that you want to make. Top 5 Underrated Characters

Zoophobia has a lot of characters, doesn't it? Because of that, it's easy for a few to slip between the cracks. Either that, or the only way they get popularity is by Vivz going "hey, they might end up in a relationship with a popular character *wink wink, nudge nudge *" (looking at you Elijah ) I say we discuss 5 of them today.

For this list, I'm looking at characters that personally surprise me as to how few people show interest in them. I'm not just talking about fan art. I rarely see them discussed or anything. However, if a character hasn't gotten a lot of attention from Vivz, then to me it makes sense why no one talks about them, so you won't see anybody like. ...I dunno, Penelope. Anybody here know Penelope? How about Koko, or Calvin? No? Didn't think so.

I'm going to break habit and announce my 2 dishonorables together since I put them on here for the same reason.

DM 1 and 2: Camilla and Elijah

Ok, so it's not so much I feel as though they have no fans, I feel as though they have fans.....that don't actually give a shit about the characters themselves and like them for reasons not relating to their personalities or anything.

Starting with Eli, let's be honest here guys, how many people actually gave a shit about him before we got the implication that he could potentially be Damian's boyfriend? I mean, once in a blue moon, I'll see someone who says they like his character traits or his design, but that doesn't happen very often. Hell, this happened even back when Eli was green and was called Eiglet. Nobody cared about this character that much. We just got the idea that he could end up with Dame, and then the fandom started to take an interest. I find that incredibly disappointing.

With Camilla, I think we can all agree on one thing. Camilla is hot. I see a lot of people going crazy over her design, and the fact that she's a stripper. Sad part is, there's a lot more to Camilla, and Vivz has done several pieces of artwork depicting this side of her, and yet everyone just goes crazy over tits. Again, it's disappointing.

5. Justina

Ok, so this bitch didn't appear in the comic. Well, she did at one point. Zoophobia originally had this prologue where we meet Justina. However, Vivz deleted this prologue so we can assume that prologue is retconned. You can still probably find re blogs of it somewhere. Still, it makes sense why not a lot of people would know about her, thus why she's at the bottom of the list. However, she still showed up at one point, and fuck it, I see plenty of shit for Mirage who hasn't appeared yet. Also, this is my list.

Justina is interesting to me. She has apparently been exiled in Hell and is forced to watch over dreams, a job she finds tedious. She's also the embodiment of Pride, and mistreats her daughter, Ink. Ok, so reread the second sentence. She got exiled. ...in Hell. A place where there's a bunch of crazies and crime, and that's super loose on rules. This bitch somehow got exiled. Also, the sins run over entire sections of Hell. Justina was a politically powerful figure. So what crime could she have possibly committed to get exiled? Why no one talks about this is surprising to me. Like, can we get some headcannons at least? The other reason I like her, and I know this is petty, but she hates being colourful. Am I the only one who finds the concept of a Vivziepop character despising how colourful they are kind of unintentionally funny? Yes? Ok then.....

4. Kaycee

Kaycee's lack of popularity or recognition also came as a surprise. She's basically this story's version of the Cheshire cat. She's the puppet master pulling the strings of characters, kick starting the story. And yet she's neither an evil nor good character. She's morally grey, seemingly seeing the whole story as entertainment for herself. She also seems to be somewhat omnipresent, hiding in plain sight, watching shit go down. The first chapter gave her plenty of panels to shine in, and I'm not sure about the rest of you, but her scenes seemed pretty effective. So why did the fandom collectively forget that this character existed? With a character like Kaycee, you would've thought that the fandom would be abuzz with speculation and theories. Not to mention her connection with Cameron. What does Kaycee see in her? What's her end game? Does she want something, or is all of Safe Haven Kaycee's personal doll house? Come on fandom, what's the hold up?

3. Narissa

Ok, ok, odd choice, I know, and that's partially why she's so low. So why do I think she needs more attention? Because she's high key a major contender for the most badass mom of the comic award. First off, she's the queen of Hell, despite being a mortal and not a demon. She has Lucifer, FUCKING LUCIFER, wrapped around her finger so tight that Vivz has described them as the most lovey dovey couple in the series. On concept alone, I'm already intrigued. And in the comic? Everybody, I want you to look at the panels she appears in, and just notice the body language, posture, facial expression. It could be just me, but Narissa seems to scream "get on your knees before the queen bitch". Also, notice how when Lucifer is full out raging and is about to stab a bitch, while everyone else is fucking terrified, Narissa's just puts her hand up like "Shattup bitch, I'm taking over." Finally, I find her reaction to Damian's actions interesting. I theorized in the past that she may be alright with Dame going to Safe Haven since she kind of gets it, since she experienced something similar in her life, except instead of Earth, she wanted to litteraly go to hell. I think it would actually be really interesting if there were some sort of parallel between Dame and his mum, and that being the reason she lets him do his thing. I see a lot of people give attention to Lucifer and especially Dame, but Narissa is almost always left out. I dunno about you guys, but I vote that we need more Narissa love.

2. Tentadora

Yeah, yeah, blah blah blah, insert Jessica Rabbit joke here.

In Tentadora's case, I think people tend not entirely get Tenta's character. A lot of people criticize Tenta for not being a good parental figure for Damian despite being so doting to him. And I'm about to blow some people's minds here, but Tenta being a bad parent?

That's the point

Yeah, Tenta is actually a really shitty parent, and this is actually intentional. While she does care for Dame, she spoils him rotten and she's even surprisingly neglectful. She just lets Dame hang on Earth where she knows he'll be in danger. Oh but it's alright. He's happy. That's all that matters right? Even when searching for him, she doesn't take it seriously and would rather goof off than make sure he's ok. This is much more evident in a comic you can find on Vivz's art portfolio. It's done in a way that mimics the Invader Zim art style and stars Dame and Tenta. I'll probably reblog it later, but in the comic, Dame is (as confirmed by Vivz in the description ) not entirely mentally healthy. The kid is litteraly under the impression his dolls are talking to him. And Tenta's reaction? She just tells him he's too old to play with dolls.

I feel that Tenta gets a little too much criticism. Yeah, I agree with the design thing, but a lot of criticism I see towards her personality is criticism I have trouble buying. The whole thing with people asking why she's such a shitty parent is one thing, but there's also the accusation that she not only looks like Jessica Rabbit, she acts like and has the same role as her, when really she doesn't. Look, I don't deny the similarities. But Tenta isn't a clone. She's clearly inspired by and shares traits with Jessica, but she's hardly a carbon copy. Personality wise at least. She's silly, not ashamed of being sexy or inconvenienced by it, and she's far less mature. Can we just. ...I dunno, give the pink robot a break?

1. Zechariah

Ok, so hear me out. I know I put him on my worst character list. However, remember how I restricted that list to just characters that appeared in the comic? If it weren't for that restriction, Zech wouldn't have made the list. The main problem I had was his stupid decisions. That's it. Also, this character has appeared in 3 out of the five chapters we got. He has a lot of panels to show up in. However, despite this, nobody pays this guy any attention. Except, oddly enough, the NSFW part of the zp community...... Yeah, I don't know either. Still, you rarely see this guy get spoken about or fan works made for him, while characters like Tom who show up once get more attention than he does. I think that this list has shown me how confusing the zp community can be.

Now that I’m 18 and nearing graduation from high school, faster than I ever expected, I want to stop and say thank you. There are so many wonderful people that I’ve met between my first year and my fourth year of high school, who have done nothing but support me, befriend me, and shape who I am. I couldn’t thank these people enough, but I’m damn well going to try.

@harveydont You’re one of the best people I could have met at the time we did meet. Honestly, it brightens my day, even for a bit, to remember we met because I was screaming in the tags of one of your art pieces, and I screamed louder when you actually came into the IM about it. You’re one of the driving forces behind why I was so eager to get into art, and why I’m still drawing today. The inspiration I draw from you is unending and I’ve kept all the memories of our silly chats and great ideas and dumb conversations, the times you sat down and helped me through something, even as small as a panic attack, and each one makes me grin like an idiot when it comes to mind. I love you, Quinn, one of my closest friends and truly my original inspiration. And to be honest, you were there for me a hell of a lot better than my REAL dad was. Best internet dad.

I know we never really got to talking that much, and yes you did terrify me to my core for a very very very long time but then we started playing DCUO and everything went to hell there was a spiral I don’t know what happened on that day, but whatever it was I’m glad it broke some thin ass ice. You’re one of my top inspirations with how far I’ve seen you come from animation to working with Codot and your work and prints and EVERYTHING, and watching you from afar brings a smile to my face, every time. Regardless of the distance, you’re still one of the main mans, and thank you for all the wonderful, though few in between, fantastic times. Truly an honor, man, love you to death.

@daddysionis I’m not sure how much we REALLY TALKED, but I got so much love you. You’re not only an inspiration for art for me, but you’re one for costumes, cosplay, make up, effects, the works. Without looking back on some of the stuff you did in the past, I don’t think I would have ever started my Junkrat cosplay back up, and the few conversations we have these days always put me in a good ass mood and I just kinda feel relaxed after chatting with you. You’re funny as well when you want to be and you’re a cool ass fun ass person. Lotsa respect to ya, man, stay safe, because I love ya.

@pinecalties FIRST OF ALL STOP DELETING ALL YOUR PERSONAL ASS BLOGS, second of all I love you to fucking death and you’re one of the MOST supportive and comforting people I know, always willing to be open, always willing to talk, no matter how weird or uncomfortable or personal the matter, and I have so much respect to you for that, especially with all the bullshit you’ve been through in the past year+. You kept me writing when I wanted to quit so many times, and I thank you so much for that, because without art, and without writing, I would have gone honestly fucking insane. We’ve had such dumb fuckin’ conversations in the past and I love each one dearly for what I can remember them with my shitty ass memory. The verses, the ideas, the jokes, the dumb ass crack concepts, everything. Lots of love man.

Just fuck, man, we knew each other for YEARS, we did so much DUMB SHIT together and we wrote with each other for FUCKIN’ YEARS, and I’ll NEVER FORGET A SINGLE BIT OF IT. I may not have known you through high school, but you were the person who got me INTO WRITING in the VERY FIRST PLACE, you’re the person who got me drawing IN THE VERY FIRST PLACE, you spread me out to so much stuff IN THE VERY FIRST PLACE, and I can NEVER thank you enough for the experience you gave me those, what, THREE years we knew each other? The three years we goofed around wrote sad shit and dumb shit and cute shit and fucked shit and whatever else. I’ll never forget it. I’ll never forget you, and stuff we did, the stuff we wrote, every joke, every moment. I know it’s been years since we talked, but that doesn’t change the years that we did. I love you, homie, always.

I love you all. So much. So fucking much. If I somehow managed to forget even one person, I promise it’s not that I don’t care. I have such a scattered brain and I can barely remember two days ago, but know that I love you. I love all my friends. Friends are family.
