Yoonmi’s Relationships with BTS
(updated as of february 2024) (mentions of hangouts are all indicating before the members’ enlistments)
Tumblr media
JIN (Kim Seokjin)
Tumblr media
Since Yoonmi had become an adult, Seokjin had taken to treating her like an equal and rarely using his “oppa” card, which is a stark difference from when she was younger. Yes, she still goes to him for advice, and he is the one who still helps her with adult matters such as bills and taxes and lifestyle, but he also becomes a friend that she can mess around with like she’s with other friends around her age. In his mind, she still is a baby, but he understands that she’s matured, wants to be seen as more mature, and that she’d still see him as a parental figure no matter how old she gets. He likes to think this is her finally acting out since she’s always been a good kid.
Jinmi in ARMYs’ eyes: They enjoy witnessing how Seokjin always “cries” about how she’s grown so much. The shift in their dynamic was over the pandemic, and suddenly everyone could see that Yoonmi was more comfortably roughhousing with Seokjin, and he was responding more like he would to Jungkook rather than his previous shrugging off and fond smiles. Seeing them become more like similarly-aged friends really made ARMY realize how she had grown.
Iconic Moment: It was revealed through the BTS documentary on Disney+ that Yoonmi was the one who initially started cutting his hair off. She was given the shears by her stylist, and she was so hesitant while Jin just kept encouraging her with “How will I know if I look okay bald unless you start?”. So she cut his hair, only getting distracted a small bit when Yoongi and Jungkook came, then listened attentively as their stylist carefully explained what to do with the electric razor. She, with assistance from the stylist, evened out Seokjin’s shave until she stepped back, staring at him. “It looks good.” “Of course it does, look who you’re talking to”. The video cuts there, but the next of her seen in that context has teary eyes and is gripping tightly onto Yoongi’s hand.
SUGA (Min Yoongi)
Tumblr media
Yoongi is still very much her dad, that never changed The only thing that changed over the years is how they both actually address the fact that Yoongi is her father figure, second only to her adoptive father, and on level with her adoptive brother. Even the other members sometimes address Yoongi ad “Yoonmi’s dad” at this point. Yoongi and Yoonmi remained each other’s silent comfort person, the person who takes their side and hears them out first, and the person who they can go to when they feel overwhelmed. He’s there to hold her hand when things go wrong, and she’s there to give him a hug when things don’t go as planned.
2yoon in ARMYs’ eyes: Yoongi and Yoonmi is everyone’s comfort duo. When they’re together, there’s an air of warmth and calm, so everyone feels better after a long day when they watch 2yoon content. They find Yoongi’s care and the way Yoonmi looks up to him to the point of taking after him endearing, especially knowing Yoongi is the one Yoonmi never fought after their mysterious conflict in 2018.
Iconic Moment: Yoonmi went to all three days of the D-Day Tour finale. She, of course, did her feature on ‘Seven’ for Jungkook. During the ment where he kept them with him on stage, he thanked and praised Jungkook for ‘Burn It’ and ‘Seven’ before turning to Yoonmi. “And our princess, my daughter. She has something coming out this month and surprisingly didn’t want to spoil it—” “Surprisingly?” “— so she had a special request. As you all know, our Miya did the demo vocals of one of my previous mixtapes. I got to perform this song with our vocal line, but never with our princess. Until today.” So they performed ‘So Far Away,’ and the proud look on Yoongi’s face by the end as he looked at her made every ARMY feel like their troubles all disappeared.
J-HOPE (Jung Hoseok)
Tumblr media
Hoseok and Yoonmi treat each other like their own personal powerbanks. They could be tired, but, once they’ve spent time together, their energy levels go up. Yoonmi says that’s why she gravitates towards Hobi when drinking, because she’s usually a sleepy drunk. They like to escape together, as well, hanging out in the practice room or either of their studios where they experiment with different styles, genres, or just mess around to fuel their creativity. Of course, Hobi never stopped seeing her as his little prodigy, teaching her old school hiphop and openstyle dancing and watching her proudly while they learned new styles together.
Homi in ARMYs’ eyes: The two sunshines, that’s what they’re known as. Hobi brings in bright energy while Yoonmi makes everyone smile, making them everyone’s favorite duo to turn to when they want to laugh and get a pick-me-up. ARMYs love seeing Hobi treat Yoonmi like the little sister he’s never had but always wanted, too! Everyone knows both Hobi and his noona see Yoonmi as their youngest sibling at this point, which is why she even got Yoonmi to sing in her wedding reception.
Iconic Moment: Yoonmi vlogged her Lollapalooza experience, so some behind the scenes were uncovered there. Hoseok got Yoonmi to rehearse Chicken Noodle Soup with him while they were waiting for Becky, and the two ended up having so much fun that the band kept vamping the song, making it longer so the two could enjoy their mini cypher. “Oh, Yoona, you haven’t forgotten your basics!” “I have the best teacher!”
RM (Kim Namjoon)
Tumblr media
It used to be just Namjoon sitting to absorb and analyze the way Yoonmi’s mind works when they’re together. Now, she does the same to him, curious about his inner thoughts. They spend a lot of their time together having deeper conversations, whether it be about life, work, music, or just their thoughts. On the other side of things, they’re both clumsy dorks who geek out over their recent reads or watches together, actively showing interest in each other’s preferences because Namjoon wants to stay as someone who understands her almost best and Yoonmi wants to stay someone he can be proud of. Especially with Yoonmi, she wants to make her leader proud of her.
Joonmi in ARMYs’ eyes: Though ARMY initially thought they were awkward, that image disappeared. ARMYs see Joonmi and see a little sister looking to her older brother for validation, and him happily giving her that validation. ARMYs also enjoy the fact that these two together can go from 0 to 100 real quick, on any end of the meter. From just having lunch they can either go to talking about their plans for the future to being stuck in a laughing fit on the floor over a plastic utensil they’ve broken.
Iconic Moment: During the live with just the five of them, Yoonmi was a lot quieter compared to how she usually is. Namjoon kept glancing at her and tapping her leg to get her to talk. At some point, he bent to whisper something to her, then, when Taehyung opened his mouth, Namjoon quickly pushed a piece of pizza there. In his efforts to do so, he knocked over three cups. He looked at Yoonmi, who was now laughing, and he just nodded at himself in satisfaction.
JIMIN (Park Jimin)
Tumblr media
Yoonmi has not changed in Jimin’s eyes in the way that she’s still his youngest Busan Baby. Whenever she tells him she’s an adult now, he always pouts at her and goes on a spiel about how she’ll still be his baby even when they’re in their 80s and beyond that. He invites her over to his apartment a lot, or he just stays at her’s (partly because Jungkook and her niece are usually there as well) because he genuinely enjoys her company and being able to sit with her. He also takes every opportunity he can get to give her princess treatment because he believes she should always be treated like Bangtan’s princess (even though she’s trying to shake off the delicate image that had somehow formed over the years)
Minmi in ARMYs’ eyes: Minmi are both very very affectionate, with their habit of holding onto each other unknowingly. ARMYs have so many compilations of them sharing the tightest hugs or exchanging the softest forehead kisses, naming them the mythical siblings due to the way they treat each other. Everyone also loves how these two speak either in pout or in giggles, no in between!
Iconic Moment: Nobody thought Yoonmi would be able to make it to Jimin’s fanmeet due to her solo promotions, but, while he was going to take a photo with the attendees, the “staff” who came on stage removed her padded long coat, revealing Yoonmi. ARMY started cheering while Jimin’s jaw dropped, then he rushed up to hug her really tight. “Yah, how long have you been here?” “The past hour? I had this in my schedule, oppa. You didn’t think I would miss your documentary screening, did you?” “You’re really something else, aegi.”
V (Kim Taehyung)
Tumblr media
Taehyung and Yoonmi both matured a lot more visible than the other members, so their dynamic shifted a little bit from overly-doting big brother and complying baby sister to a pair of siblings more along a similar wavelength. While they’re still quite playful and he still dotes on her, their age gap isn’t as prominent in their actions. It’s clear that they both see how each other have grown, and it’s something they like to just observe when they’re with each other. They’re proud of each other’s growth, but more proud of how they managed to keep their friendship completely intact despite both of them changing over the years.
Taemi in ARMYs’ eyes: Taehyung and Yoonmi started posting more content together, which everyone enjoyed since they used to keep their off-screen friendship mostly to themselves. Now ARMYs enjoy seeing their posts when they meet up to go to jazz clubs, have coffee, or just do anything together. ARMYs also love seeing how they shifted from over-excitable kids to more mature youths who support and take care of each other.
Iconic Moment: An ARMY saw them in a jazz club together. Allegedly, there were a few cocktails on the table, and the two of them seemed to be exchanging stories the entire time they were there, never once letting there be dead air. Apparently Tae also tried to play the saxophone and let out a really out of tune note, but Yoonmi just cheered him on. The ARMY was able to take a picture with them, saying that they were both happy to see her yet politely asked to not post anything while they were still there. She promised, and the two were said to have continued their night of stories and jazz music.
JUNGKOOK (Jeon Jungkook)
Tumblr media
If anything can describe these two, it’s the phrase ‘ride or die’. Yoonmi and Jungkook would drop everything if the other called them and said they were in need. Almost thirteen years of friendship and growing up alongside each other really molded them into being two peas in a pod, especially since they both hit their twenties. They would see each other every other day and talk to each other at least once a day. Jungkook had gotten less overprotective (especially now that she has a boyfriend), and he has increased his role as the main mythbuster of Yoonmi’s delicate image. Yet, even with all their bickering and squabbling, they remain each other’s support systems and hypemen, connected in a way where they can work with and around each other without even needing to talk. Their friendship is further solidified by their matching tattoos (aside from the group’s matching 7 tatts) which they successfully kept between themselves for over a year. (The only people who saw these right after they got them were Mark and Namjoon. The tannies found out by accident)
Jungmi in ARMYs’ eyes: Ever since Bangtan first debuted, Jungkook and Yoonmi’s friendship has been something so many people, whether ARMY or not, have admired and set as a standard or wish for in their own best friends. ARMYs specifically love how they’re not afraid to roughhouse or bite back at each other but still have each other’s backs no matter what. Also Jungkook biased ARMY all have Yoonmi as a bias wrecker or vice verse because of the amount of content these two have and the amount of time they spend together. Everyone already knows when either of them get married Yoonmi would be Jungkook’s best man or Jungkook would be her Maid of Honor.
Iconic Moment: Jungkook hosted one of his early morning Weverse lives from her kitchen, cooking himself something to eat. At around four AM, the sound of a door opening and closing made him look to the side where he froze and smiled brightly. You hear her go, “Oppa, again? When did you get in my house?” and he just, “Three hours ago. Ramen?” “I’ll just grab some water and go back to sleep. Don’t wake Yoonseol.” And everyone was surprised. It was common knowledge that they went to each other’s apartments often, but they just revealed Jungkook goes to her place just whenever he wants because either he knows the code or has his fingerprint in her lock.

yoonmi gets validation from tae and a dance partner for the tour
Tumblr media
Yoonmi barely processed Taehyung’s question as she quickly did reruns of her lines, script in her hands, track open on her monitor, and untouched lunch box on the table behind her. It had been weeks since she started filming for SKY Castle, and, because of how busy she’d be with touring, the crew was trying to get as many of her scenes for the first half of the series over with.
To her luck, the cast and crew were all friendly enough to help her out. There was no doubt about there being hesitation when it came to everyone approaching her at first, but they had speedily warmed up to her, especially the fellow younger half of actors and actresses that she’d be spending most of her time filming with.
However, everything was overlapping with each other. That is, her schedule for the drama and their comeback preparation. There were still a few finishing touches she needed to add to a concert version of the tracks, approvals to go through with the rest of rap line and the production team, and the choreography to complete with her performance team and to teach her dancers. Not to mention she still had to find someone (a trainee, says the company) to be her dance partner for her solo stage on their tour. It’s not like she could take Yeonjun with her since he’d be preparing for debut while they’re on tour. And the tour!
She could practically feel her body hurting from the amount of plane rides she’d have to take going from place to place while performing on stage or fulfilling her role.
“Hey,” Taehyung knocked on her head, pulling her out of her thoughts, “earth to Yoonmi. One task at a time, yeah? I suggest you eat first before continuing anything. Unless you want Jin hyung to be upset you didn’t eat the food he prepared for you.”
She shook her head but closed her script and turned to him, only to find him uncovering her food. “Were you here this whole time?”
“I’ve been watching you mutter lines to yourself for like fifteen minutes now.” He held a piece of meat up to her mouth with chopsticks. “Now, eat.”
She rolled her eyes but ate the piece and grabbed a pair of chopsticks for herself.
This had been how things were for the past few weeks. Whenever she’d be in the company for any of the three main meals of the day, Seokjin or Taehyung would always drop by and make sure she was eating her meals. If she was on the set, they’d call her or call manager Sejin who’d be with her. Hoseok and Namjoon would make her take breaks, while Jimin, Jungkook, and Yoongi would always convince her (or wrestle, in Jungkook and sometimes Jimin’s case) to bed. It was some weird cycle they had established.
“Don’t you roll your eyes at me, aegi,” Taehyung pretended to scold while hitting her head with a spoon (thank God it was clean). “You get way too into your work, so you know we have to check in on you.”
“And how’d you know I was thinking about this weird set of roles you guys formed?”
“Because I know you. How’s filming going?”
“It’s going great, actually,” she smiled at him. “Everyone’s friendly, and the guy playing my twin brother is an idol, too! It’s funny when we met because he’s my sunbae for acting, but I’m his sunbae for idol life. The role is pretty easy to fulfill, and the plot is really intriguing.”
“As intriguing as me being killed by my brother by accident?”
“Intriguing in different ways,” she laughed before they fell to a silence. It was a whole ten minutes before she spoke up again, “Oppa, do you think this was a bad idea?”
Taehyung looked at her questioningly, making her sigh.
“I mean,” she leaned forward, resting her arms on her knees, “with the tour happening, do you think it was a bad idea to take this acting gig?”
“Personally, yeah,” Taehyung shrugged, making Yoonmi look at him in slight offense. “What, you asked! I’m just saying, as someone who literally helped raise you, I don’t like the idea of you balancing working on music and academics while jetting back and forth between Korea and whatever country we’re performing in and tiring yourself out to the point of passing out. Because I already know that it’s bound to happen at some point.”
She looked down, leaning back and biting into the cookie one of the members had given her at some point. Taehyung looked at her, already knowing the look on her face being one that could lead to her spiralling. He sighed, hating the fact that, no matter what the members and her friends and family told her, she always put others’ opinions of her before her own wants and needs.
“Hey,” Taehyung nudged her arm, “but, as an artist, I think it’s a great idea.”
This perked her up. “You think so?”
“It’s a great opportunity to show more sides of yourself that the public doesn’t really know,” he nodded. “Show them you’re not just an idol or a kid, but something more as well. I know you’re great at anything you put your mind to, except maybe drawing.”
She laughed and hit his arm.
Taehyung laughed with her. “No, yeah. Leave that area of expertise to Jungkook. I’m just saying, it’s a great opportunity for you to break out of whatever stereotypes or prejudices people have against you.”
“So, as my big brother, you say no. As my sunbae, you say yes. Internal conflict of interests, don’t you think?”
“Sure,” he snorted before tapping her knee and looking her in the eye, “but I have to remind you, because your reaction to what I said earlier tells me that you haven’t let it settle in your head. You can’t let what other people think about you discourage you, right?”
She huffed and crossed her arms before looking away. “It’s a little hard when I need to improve myself.”
“But at what cost? Your mental state? Cancelled opportunities? Why let other people’s opinions on you matter more than your own thoughts or opinions of yourself.”
“Because if I let my opinion of myself get to me more than what you guys think about me, I’d probably shrivel up in a hole, you know?”
The joking tone of her voice didn’t carry into the atmosphere of the room. Taehyung just looked at her. He knew that she, despite her proudly speaking her opinion and telling other people to be confident in themselves, is way too insecure for his and the rest of the group’s comfort. It was one of the many reasons that they always went out of their way to baby her and praise her.
It was at times like these, moments where she puts her thoughts on the table and curls into herself, where she looks young. Younger than she actually is. The girl in front of him was sixteen, turning seventeen, eighteen if you use Korean years. Yet, all he could see was the nervous preteen he met years ago.
“You do know you teach other people to love themselves, right?” he asked her.
“Do as I say, not as I do,” she shrugged, making him chuckle.
“We’re just gonna have to rub that into you until you do as you say, too. Wanna talk about it more?”
She shook her head. “No, not really. It’s almost three, and I have to head to the practice room to meet my dance partner for my solo song.”
“Why didn’t you just get one of us?”
“Well, I wanted to, but the company said that it would cut into the rest times of literally any of you, plus, Jungkook oppa was the original plan, but Euphoria and Why are right after each other.”
Taehyung wrinkled his nose but nodded and ruffled her hair. “Alright, let’s clean up, then I can drop you off before I got to my vocal session.”
Tumblr media
“I am a mess,” Yoonmi muttered to herself as soon as she walked into the practice room. The reason being manager Sejin stepping in front of her and bringing down his sleeve over his hand to wipe crumbs off of her chin.
“Because you’re stressed out,” he shook his head at her, “so Namjoon and I cleared your schedule for the weekend. I also took the liberty of choosing your dance partner for you, and I think you’ll be okay with him.”
“As okay as I’d have been with Yeonjun oppa?”
“Not as much,” Sejin chuckled at her, “but I’ve seen you talk to Heeseung every now and then, so maybe?”
At the familiar name, she looked behind Sejin and saw the familiar face of the trainee she tended to run into late at night in the company. Heeseung was someone she did try to be more casual with ever since Yeonjun told her they were the same age. It was something she did try to do ever since Jimin and Taehyung had sat her down to tell to be more social with kids her age. She shook her head in amusement while hearing Jimin’s voice saying “Our aegi should spend more time being a kid with other kids!”
Back to the situation at hand, she thanked Sejin and walked to the other side of the room where Heeseung was giving her an awkward smile. It was something she was used to seeing from the trainees whenever they passed by her. The quick bow in greeting completed the experience.
“No need for that, Heeseung, I’ve told you that a billion times,” she laughed while putting a hand on his shoulder to straighten him up. “So you’re my dance partner?”
“Only if you’re okay with that,” he looked at her bashfully.
She laughed a bit and nodded, “Yeah, no biggie. Have you seen the videos?”
“If you don’t mind me asking,” he began after nodding, “I was wondering why it isn’t Jungkook sunbaenim dancing with you like in the video?”
“The setlist has his song and my song right after each other,” she shrugged. “Are you okay if we practice until around nine? There will be breaks of course, but we don’t have to if it cuts into your training time.”
He shakes his head and smiles at her. “Sounds good. The instructors let me off with the condition of doing well for your tour and shadowing you sunbaes for experience.”
“You can stick by me and see the oppas in all their chaotic glory,” she snorted before tugging on his sleeve to bring him to the center of the practice room. “Let’s try marking before the rest of the dancers get here.”
The practice went smoothly, considering she knew the choreography by heart and Heeseung caught on quickly. To Yoonmi’s pleasure, the choreography was almost as clean as she wanted it to be by the time the clock struck 9. All of the dancers got along well together, and there was no tension. They all even messed around with each other during the breaks, which was similar to how the dancers were in previous tours. But, all good things came to an end as the dancers left the practice room one by one, bidding goodbye.
“You’re not regretting agreeing to this, are you?” she asked Heeseung while handing him an energy drink. He had been sweating despite already removing his plaid shirt and being left in a tee.
“Not at all,” he grinned at her while accepting the drink, “it’s a great experience. I just want to know though, how do you practice for hours without removing your hoodie?”
“It’s comfy,” she shrugged.
A knock on the door caught their attention. Seokjin’s head popped in first, a big smile on his face before he let himself in and brought Yoonmi into a hug. Heeseung bowed at him, while he bowed back before turning his attention to her. She wrinkled her nose at him but wrapped her arms around his waist all the same. The elder placed a quick kiss to the top of her head before his face scrunched up.
“You need a shower, princess,” Seokjin squished her cheeks, making her look like a puffer fish.”
“I know,” the words came muffled out of her mouth, “is it home time?”
He nodded down at her before turning towards Heeseung with a smile. “So you’ll be joining us on tour?”
“Yes, sunbaenim.” The awkwardness was back.
Seokjin smiled. “We’ve heard good things about you, Heeseung, from both Yeonjun and management. We’re looking forward to working with you.”
Heeseung’s eyes widened before he thanked the senior. Seokjin laughed a little before letting go of Yoonmi and picking up her bag for her. “I hope you don’t mind, but I’m taking this one home for dinner before she passes out from being overworked. She still has filming tomorrow morning.”
“I’ll see you tomorrow afternoon,” she squeezed Heeseung’s arm with a grateful smile, “don’t stay too late today or I’ll tell Seri! I know she’s gonna mother hen you even from a different continent.”
He snorted but lightly hit her shoulder. “Alright, fine. See you tomorrow.”
Yoonmi made her way towards Seokjin who was waiting for her by the door, already having memorized the spiel he was giving. Eat food on time, rest, one task at a time, and everything along those lines.
“And I want you asleep by 10:30,” he continued despite them reaching the parking lot already, “so you can have a full eight hours of sleep before heading to the shoot, okay? Jimin has the morning off, so he’ll be going with you.”
This put a frown on her face. She hated the fact that the members were going out of their way to help her or accompany her when they could be resting instead. Also, the director and the PDs were asking her to keep the members from coming on set as much as possible so they don’t get spoiled. And because they can get embarrassingly fussy over her in between takes.
It’s not that she didn’t like it, she would easily admit that it felt nice knowing the members cared for her, but it did get her a little shy with all the cast and staff staring at them.
“Yoongi and I made him promise to stay beside Sejin hyung,” Seokjin smiled at her, “you don’t have to worry about the unnecessary staring. You can probably get away with hiding with your castmates. You know, the ones casted as your fellow kids?”
She laughed. “You know me too well.”
“What type of big brothers would we be if we didn’t?” He helped her into the passenger’s seat before getting into the driver’s seat. “Let’s get you fed and showered so you can be at full battery tomorrow.”

[3:12pm, wc: 442]
(content warning: talks about jin enlisting)
“It looks good.”
“Of course it does, look who you’re talking to.”
Yoonmi laughed as she reached up to pat Seokjin on the head. He leaned down to give her easier access, but also to watch the fascination take over the slight sadness he knew was settling in her eyes.
Seokjin’s haircut was something Yoonmi absolutely needed to be there for. She made a promise to be there for all of her members’ haircuts, entries, breaks, and official discharges around three years ago, but actually being here for the first of those things… It felt unreal.
“Hey,” Seokjin wiped at her cheeks with his thumbs, “look at me. Don’t cry.”
She didn’t even know she was crying. She sniffled before settling her focus on his hair, lightly rubbing her hand over it to feel the texture of the buzzcut. “I’m not crying. Your hair’s just prickly. It hurts.”
“Sure, princess,” Seokjin smiled before standing straight and pulling her into a hug. “Don’t sweat it, okay? I’ll be safe, and I’ll pester you on my breaks until you wish I just didn’t have breaks.”
“You know that won’t happen.”
“Is that a challenge?”
The two exchanged a laugh before silence enveloped them once again. For years, fans had speculated what Yoonmi would be feeling when this time came. Some said she’d be bawling her eyes out. Some said she’d know how to handle it after seeing her big brother off to his own enlistment. Some said she wouldn’t even be there when the time came.
None of that was true.
She stood there, head held high despite the small amount of tears running down her face and small frame squished by Seokjin. The smile on her face never wavered as she placed a kiss on the elder’s cheek and took a step back. Her hand flew to her eyebrow, saluting her eldest member with a proud look on her face. Seokjin saluted back, posture straight as a rod, just as he had been practicing. Almost as if it were rehearsed, their hands snapped back down to their sides, their bodies maintaining the straight and stiff posture.
“I’m proud of you already,” she grinned at him. “Please stay safe, okay? Try not to hurt yourself in training.”
“Yes, ma’am.” He broke his posture and ruffled her hair. “Stay out of trouble as much as you can, princess. Save me a seat in your graduation. I love you.”
She nodded with a smile before rushing forward to hug him once again, Seokjin grunting a little at the sudden impact but immediately hugging her back.
“Of course. Serve well, and stay safe. I love you, too.”

Hey sweetie I hope that you’re fine 🥰
Could you write a scenario about Yoonmi who get teased (about her height for example) by Yeonjun and Beomgyu and then Yoongi or Jin get in protective older brother/ dad mode and « save » his baby from brats
Idk why but I find it super cute 🤧
i’m doing great, hun, thanks for asking! hope you’re doing well, too! 🥰 and of course i’ll write it out! beomgyu and yeonjun are literally so soft with seri but with yoonmi they’re like ulder brothers terrorizing the youngest sibling akdjfh hope you enjoy this!
Tumblr media
“I didn’t ask you to record guide vocals with me to do this,” Yoonmi sighed as she felt Beomgyu rest his arm on top of her head. “I get that you’re a giant, but stop stunting my growth!”
She had called Beomgyu over from the studio next door to help her record harmonies for a guide vocal, and that’s how she found herself in the booth with him. Yeonjun had tagged along since he saw the two 01 liners heading into her studio.
“You’re not getting any taller than this,” Beomgyu laughed.
“He’s right,” Yeonjun called in from outside.
“I bring you two into my studio, and this is what I get,” she shook her head. “I should have called Seri.”
“Aw, it’s okay, Yoonmi,” Yeonjun laughed. “We still love you even if you’re tinier than Seri.”
Yeonjun didn’t notice the door behind him open to reveal the one and only Kim Seokjin who seemed to be bringing Yoonmi lunch. He noticed the placement of Beomgyu’s arm through the glass window and heard the last bit of Yeonjun’s statement.
“Aigoo,” he began while draping an arm around Yeonjun’s shoulder, scaring the boy, “I hear you two pestering my kid again? Just because you two are on steroids doesn’t mean you have to take it out on my little doll-like makdungie.”
Beomgyu snorted at Seokjin calling her little as well while Yoonmi pouted and crossed her arms.
“Sorry, hyung,” Yeonjun told the elder, “we can’t help it. Her reactions are funny.”
“She knows it’s all jokes, anyway,” Beomgyu added. “Right, Yoonmi?”
Yoonmi opened her mouth to speak, but Seokjin beat her to it.
“Of course she knows you guys are joking,” he scoffed. “If you were bullying her for real, you’d be on the ground in pain by now.”
“Right,” Beomgyu took his arm of her head and looked down at his senior, “I forget you took jiu jitsu.”
“I still do,” she scrunched her nose at him before turning to Yeonjun through the glass, “and don’t you forget it.”
Yeonjun raised his hands in surrender while Seokjin laughed at the three kids. He loved that Yoonmi got to mess around with people her age within the company more often.
“Alright then,” Seokjin clapped his hands, “you two stop terrorizing the poor girl and her height and actually finish whatever it is you’re doing here. I’ll come back with more food for all three of you. It’s way past lunch time.”
“Thanks, hyung!”
“Sure thing, hyung!”
With that, Seokjin left the room, and the three went back to their task at hand. Yoonmi was struggling with the mic a little bit, and Beomgyu and Yeonjun noticed this. Yeonjun pressed the stop button then spoke to her.
“You want me to bring a step-stool in there?”
“... Yes, please.”
She tried to keep a pout, but she ended up laughing with Yeonjun and Beomgyu anyway.

once again i’m gonna apologize bc i’m a lot slower with requests rn, but don’t worry bc i’m working on them! but without further ado, let’s get to that protection squad life, shall we? 💖
yall know the drill conversations in italics are spoken in english
Tumblr media
“Hyung, have you seen Yoonmi today?”
Yoongi hadn’t seen the makdungie all day. The other four boys all thought she was either with him or with their eldest hyung. (Though Yoongi was starting to believe Jungkook’s words saying she might be somewhere in the company building or maybe in the apartment’s fire exit.
“I thought she was with you in the studio?”
“I haven’t seen her since dinner last night,” Yoongi frowned.
Seokjin looked at the clock. It was already two in the morning, and he had assumed Yoonmi just stayed late with Yoongi at the company. He and Yoongi exchanged silent looks before going to the kitchen. Yoongi poured some chocolate milk into a mug and put it in the microwave to heat up while Seokjin quickly assembled a grilled cheese sandwich. Miraculously, they finished in under five minutes and headed out the door.
They opened the door to the fire escape, and, sure enough, they heard the quiet music playing just at the top of the staircase in front of them. The two quickly climbed the steps, and Yoongi gently closed the laptop Yoonmi was focused on.
“No, no, no, I had two hundred words left for that cultural marketing paper!”
“Break time, princess,” Seokjin handed her the plate he had brought with him, grilled cheese resting on top of it.
She pouted, “I’m not hungry. I have to finish this paper then my camera vs stage acting paper.”
“Yoonmi, no one has seen you since dinner,” Yoongi told her. “Yesterday. We’re you here the whole time?”
“I just needed to work on my school papers before continuing on album work, I swear!”
“That means you have to take a break now,” Yoongi told her.
“Your mind and body need food to work properly,” Seokjin reminded her. “We’ve talked about this.”
“But I’m genuinely not hungry!”
“You’ll feel it when you eat,” Seokjin placed the sandwich in her hand.
She pouted but took a bite anyway. Her usually small bites a little bigger than they usually were. She avoided eye contact with the two boys. She didn’t want to admit that she was hungry.
Pretty soon, the sandwich was gone, and Yoongi handed her the still warm chocolate milk. She sipped on it lightly while she watched Yoongi clean up her stuff.
“You are going to sleep,” he said almost sternly. “I know these papers aren’t due until next week, so you are taking a well deserved break, okay?”
“I just want it done as fast as possible,” she pouted before breaking into a yawn.
Yoongi fondly ruffled her hair while Seokjin picked her up. Despite her being 20, the members never really lost the habit of carrying her around like she was still the 10/11 year old they first met. It was comfortable, anyway. She found herself asleep within the few seconds Seokjin had been holding her up.
“I got her stuff,” Yoongi said while closing the laptop he had reopened to save her progress. “Her cultural marketing paper is a lot more coherent than mine was.”
“She takes after Namjoon’s brains,” Seokjin laughed. “Let’s just get her up to bed so she can properly rest that big brain.”

of course, luv 🥰 here’s some jinmi for you! i haven’t written jinmi in so looooong akdjfhf i hope you enjoy this!!!
prompt: “Do you think the moon is jealous of how pretty you are?”
Tumblr media
Yoonmi found herself staring out the plane window instead of falling asleep like she usually did. Seokjin sat next to her, and, ironically, it was his voice she was hearing at the moment through her earphones. She was listening to Moon, which she felt was a good song to listen to while on the way home to Korea.
“Oppa,” she turned to him while removing her earphones. “Do you think this is what the moon sees?”
Seokjin smiled at Yoonmi. Despite her becoming an adult in Korea, she still held her childlike innocence and curiosity.
“I guess so,” he told her. “It looks pretty, doesn’t it?”
Yoonmi looked out the window once again and nodded. She turned back to look at her eldest member. He wrote Moon in a way where he was the moon and ARMY was his world. She found that really sweet of him. Her oppa really was pretty both inside and outside.
“Do you think the moon is jealous of how pretty you are?” she asked almost without thinking.
Seokjin chuckled despite his face heating up at the compliment. “I don’t think so, princess.”
“But you’re worldwide handsome!”
“But the moon isn’t technically in our world,” he smiled while ruffling her hair. “My beauty may beat humans, but not something as pretty as the moon.”
Yoonmi looked at him for a while. As much as he played up his confidence and self-love, Seokjin was a humble guy who got flustered by compliments. She smiled before shifting to put on one earphone and hugging his arm with her eyes closed.
“I don’t think so. I think you’re as pretty as the moon.”
She could feel Seokjin’s shoulders shake slightly as he chuckled. She just snuggled her head further into his arm.
Seokjin gently pried his arm free from her grip and wrapped it around her instead. One of the perks of these sleeping pods was removing the divider between two seats.
“Good night, mister moon,” she told Seokjin while settling her head on his chest and wrapping her arms around his waist. He kissed her forehead.
“Good night, princess. Thank you.”

reminder: italics are english!
prompts: “i’m the pun-master, you’ll miss me when i’m gone” “if you quote yu-gi-oh’s power of friendship one more time i will kill you”
Tumblr media
“Oppa, if you quote Yu-Gi-Oh’s power of friendship one more time, I will kill you.”
“No you won’t,” Seokjin said in a sing-song voice. “Do you know why?”
“Why?”
“Because you are my friend.”
“Oh my god!”
“And I wished for friends who would never betray me no matter what.”
Yoonmi groaned. She didn’t know why, but Seokjin had been binging on Yu-gi-oh all night. The 29-year-old was spending the morning cooking breakfast with her and saying all these statements that she could only assume were related to the anime.
“It’s a shame I have to go to the military,” he told her. She thought he had finally stopped with the anime references until he spoke again. “Don’t worry, though. You have your Yugi oppa to be with you.” (get it? like yoongi oppa but without the n? no? i can’t do puns guys)
His laugh echoed with her groan around the kitchen.
“When you go, I’ll be free from your puns for a while,” she sighed while placing the fried bacon onto a plate with tissues to get the oil out.
“I’m the pun-master! You’ll miss me when I’m gone.”
A silence filled the air after he said that. Yoonmi walked over to the fridge to get the fruits she was going to make smoothies with. She glanced at Seokjin who was leaning against the counter and had a bittersweet smile on his face. She knew he was thinking about the time he would have to spend away from the seven people he was so used to seeing everyday. She put down the fruits before walking right up to him and hugging him around his waist.
“I really am going to miss you,” she mumbled into his pajama shirt. “I know you get vacation leaves and all that, but it won’t be the same.”
Seokjin wrapped his arms around her tightly and rested his chin on her head. “I’m going ti miss you, too, princess. You better make sure you have no plans when I take my vacation leaves. I don’t care if you have to cancel a date with Mark.”
“Or I can bring him with me, and you could chaperone our date?”
“He wouldn’t even be able to hold your hand if that were the case.”
The two of them laughed for a bit before just basking in the silent comfort of their hug. This was the same man who had raised Yoonmi for the past nine years. Even during their short hiatus, he always called her at least every other day to check up on her. She knew that wouldn’t be the case when he joined the military.
“I can’t believe you really have to go,” she whispered just loud enough for Seokjin to hear her.
“It’ll be alright. I’ll be back before you know it,” he reassured her and stroked her hair. “Promise me you’ll have a solo comeback and dedicate a win to me once I’m there?”
“Of course, oppa.”
“Good,” he pressed a kiss to the top of her head before gently pulling away from the hug and turning to the eggs he was beating. “Now, your fruits are waiting, and I’m pretty sure the other boys are starting to wake up. Let’s finish making breakfast.”
