My answers for the YR S2 Watch plan challenge, that I made earlier today
I have been thinking about this a lot and want to hear what everyone is planning. Copy the questions and share your watch plan and pass it around. Tag them (#yr s2 watch plan) because I really wanna know.
Will you..
1. Watch a teaser if released?
Nope, unless it's just photos, then maybe.
2. Watch the trailer?
Absolutely not. As much as I can't wait for season 2, I want to feel the magic I felt when I watched season 1 when I went into it knowing nothing.
3. Read the descriptions of the episodes?
No, I will probably just look at how many episodes and episode lengths, just to manage expectations. Though I am pretty sure it's going to be 6 eps again.
4. Are you going to start it at midnight PST as soon as it’s available?
Yes, at least for 1 ep, even though it will be 3am my time
5. Take a day off work/school?
Absolutely, I will plan my whole week around the release date.
6. What device?
TV for the first watch but then might retreat to the basement with my cheap amazon projector, to watch it on the huge screen.
7. Watch it alone?
Yes, nobody is allowed to talk to me on the release day. There are people IRL that want to watch it with me, so that will be on rewatches
8. Sub, cc, or dub? (there is a right answer if you are not Swedish)
Subs for the first couple of watches, then CC, then Dubbed. And then come on Tumblr of lost in translations. I don't want to miss anything.
9. Watch all episodes in a single sitting?
I will try to spread them out throughout the day just to make them last longer but I doubt that I will have the self-control.
10. Wear your purple hoodie?
Yes. where else am I gonna wipe the tears that are sure to come?
11. Snacks?
All the snacks, if I am expected to survive the angst and the hurt.
12. Record your reactions? (Text, audio, video)?
I wanna write down my first impressions as I am watching. I wish so much that I did this for season 1.
13. What are you most excited for?
Wilhelm and Simon knowing more about each other's lives, new friendships, more parallels, deeper meanings, and hidden metaphors for us all to find.
14. What are you scared of?
Literally everything. My brain just can not process that there will be new content for something that consumed my life these last few months.
15. How long before rewatch?
If season 1 was any hint, immediately. I need to watch it with my wife, my sister, and my friend. so I assume to only be watching Young royals that whole week.

1. Watch a teaser if released? i wouldn’t resist to any new content at this point so yes.
2. Watch the trailer? absolutely yes (fun fact: i watched the trailer of season 1 for the first time one month after or so finishing the show - don’t ask me why - so i didn’t really know anything plot related when i first watched it).
3. Read the descriptions of the episodes? it’s not a thing i like to do so no, i won’t!
4. Are you going to start it midnight PST as soon as it’s available? it’ll be 09:00 am where i live, so if i make it to wake up that early YES.
5. Take a day off work/school? i’ll plan my uni agenda in order to take one day off for sure!
6. What device? computer.
7. Watch it alone? yes.
8. Sub, cc or dub? original language with english subtitles is my go-to.
9. Watch all episodes in a single sitting? yes, i’m so impatient i could never ever do any other way.
10. Wear your purple hoodie? sadly i don’t have one, but i’ll definitely wear my comfiest clothes.
11. Snacks? snacks, drinks and a lot of tissues!
12. Record your reactions? nope, i’ll probably just take a picture of me crying at the very first shot to, you know, capture the emotions of the moment.
13. What are you most excited for? honestly, everything. i don’t even know what to expect and i’m thrilled. i LOVE to experience the turning-point in a plot, season 2 might have more than one and yes, this is probably the thing i’m most excited for.
14. What are you scared of? a cliffhanger ending. it would scream season 3 but i truly won’t survive another full solid year of anxious waiting.
15. How long before rewatch? it depends a lot on my mood, but i want my first rewatch to be as soon as i’ll recover from the overload of emotions and my mind will clear up enough to focus on details and dive into scenes.

Absolutely.
2. Watch the trailer?
Again, absolutely. I cannot wait anymore.
3. Read the descriptions of the episodes?
Not before but maybe during if the stress level is too high. We’ll see.
4. Are you going to start it midnight PST as soon as it’s available?
Thats 3am for me, so depends what I have the next day. If it’s work or a morning class no (because I wouldn’t have the time to binge it all before going and that’s worst than waiting a few hours before watching it all), if it’s class in the afternoon probably.
5. Take a day off work/school?
No. At work, we are not enough employees and we’re all students, I can’t take an off day for a tv show. For school, we’ll I’m at uni so I don’t have classes 9-5 anyway but school classes come first (now studying and essays… that’s another thing lol)
6. What device?
Computer.
7. Watch it alone?
The first watch yes, then one rewatch with my sister and another one with one of my friends.
8. Sub, cc or dub? (there is a right answer, if you are not Swedish)
Sub, duh. Although if I rewatch while doing other things that require my eyes to be off of the screen, I’ll watch it in English.
9. Watch all episodes in a single sitting?
Yes! Maybe meals break. Maybe.

I dont have one yet :(
11. Snacks?
No, i cant hear from my earphones I roper my if i eat something at the same time. Maybe a drink tho (I’ll try to watch it sober that time lol unlike my first watch of s1 lol)

It depends on the day it gets released. Cause I'll be student-teaching and in grad-school at that point, so if I have early morning classes or will be teaching the next day then probably not

As much as I want to, no

iPad or smart TV if my roommates let me lol
7. Watch it alone?
Possibly. I've been trying to get my best friend to watch Young Royals for 5ever, but he hasn't yet but he wants to. And we're gonna be living together for grad school so I'm gonna make him watch it then (I told him I wanted to watch him watch it). So if he likes season 1 we'll probably watch season 2 together
But I also kinda want my experience watching season 2 for the first time to be all my own so maybe I’ll only watch it with my friend on a rewatch.

I'm not sure yet. I recorded myself listening to OMR for the first time and I'm really glad I did. But a huge part of me wants to be fully immersed in the story without worrying about a camera.

Watch a teaser if released? Yes. It would probably be all over social media and hard to avoid anyway.
Watch the trailer? Yes. I kind of don’t want to do that I don’t see any potential spoilers but knowing myself I will cave the second I see it and watch it.
Read the descriptions of the episodes? No. I don’t usually do this with any shows.
Are you going to start it midnight PST as soon as it’s available? Yes. And I’m going to rewatch season 1 right before so I can head straight from episode 6 of season 1 right into season 2.
Take a day off work/school? Maybe. I can’t really take a day of school but if I don’t have school I will book myself off work so that I won’t have to work.
What device? iPad.
Watch it alone? Yes so that I can fully pay attention and freak out over everything.

i can’t watch dubs at all. shows always sound so much better in their original language so i’ll definitely be watching with subtitles (also i just need subtitles to watch literally anything, even if it’s in a language i understand)

the awkward tension between wille n simon. i am literally not prepared for what’s gonna happen when they return from christmas break. i’m so scared of things just getting worse

it fully depends on how mentally destroyed the second season leaves me tbh. if there’s a happy ending then i’ll probably rewatch within a few days. if not, then who knows man

Absolutely NOT, I hate spoilers. I don’t want to know what’s about to happen, I want to be surprised.

Absolutely NOT once again (I’m afraid I’m still going to see parts of it because stupid algorithms on every app know I‘m a YR junkie…) I need to drop using Tumblr whenever the teaser drops.

I’m planning to watch only one episode a day (look at me failing this miserably…) so I’ll probably watch them before bedtime each night. Whenever I watch all episodes at once I get tired and I’m not able to appreciate them the way I want to, especially with YR.

No. I can’t take a day off because of a tv show. Also, if I’m planning to watch only one episode a day it doesn’t really matter.

TV. I usually watch everything from my phone, but as this a special occasion I’m going to watch it from proper TV 😄

I do everything alone so yes.

Sub, as usual. I know some Swedish tho, so I’ll also listen what they are actually saying.

No, as I said before.

Absolutely, based on whatever I’m craving whenever s2 drops.

I might write some of my thoughts down after each episode, just so that I remember to blog them after I’ve finished watching all the episodes .

I’m scared of Wille sleeping around 😂

Depends on my mood and how’s life going in general, maybe a week max.
