Imagine you're Bagi

Imagine you know this man, he lives across the river.

You've known him to be nothing but kind when he offers you advice, help and items. You see him be praised as an amazing father confidently taking care of 2 eggs, never asking or needing help to keep them fed.

His house is comforting and he always keeps his doors open to your and your friends antics.

Then suddenly you're confronted with his suffering, seeing his body split apart and a substance that looks like the void itself pouring from him, he doesn't mention it. Moves like it's not even there, there's no fear in his eyes.

But his kids look at you with tears prickling at the corners of theirs, begging for help or something.

Then, then you hear them argue, this man you've known by nothing but laughter and warmth and kindness and smiles sounds broken as he apologizes to his daughter, who you know loves him, for yelling at her.

You can't even imagine the sound of his voice yelling.

There's silence for a bit and suddenly those kids return. Scratched, bruised, tear stained faces staring at you looking guilty for even attempting to find someone to talk to.

And they tell you a lot, they're confused themselves about most of it.

They tell you how this man who you've only seen hug raised his sword at them with a purpose, tell you how the man who's voice rings with laughter spat venom at them through words he decided to lace with poison.

Tell you they've been haunted and hunted for so long that they don't even bother saying a time frame.

And you stare at these 2 kids, and the currently empty home of the man across the river who's been Nothing but joy and kindness and warmth and comfort and you wonder.

How long has he been suffering under it all

here it is!! my pieces for the love, an undertalezine!! i’m pretty satisfied with how these both turned out, even if they ended up being quite different from how i conceptualized them. the zine is chock full of great art from talented people

I saw a theory talking about how empanada, pepito, and Sunny could be the three maze eggs the players read about. This perosn studied empanada’s behaviors in forevers stream where he was threatening the eggs and she was acting very mature and calculated in stark contrast to how she’s usually acts (childish and younger). And it’s not just empanada in that one stream, on multiple occasions have these new eggs let up on the childishness a little by accident.

I do think that these new eggs are the maze eggs, however I don’t think any of the pretending done by them is malicious in any way.

Ok so if these are the new eggs are the eggs from the maze (which I think is likely) then obviously they’re a lot older than we think they are. I think it’s been obvious from day one they’ve been keeping secrets (Sunny refusing to tell the backstory and all) but I don’t think it’s at all malicious. If it is true these are the maze eggs then from the moment of their making they’ve been through constant trauma. With that maze they watched their siblings die and when they got out, egg island wasn’t exactly a friendly place for 3 eggs to be. And even if they are older, they are still very fragile as any of the eggs are without any armor (not to mention they probably have no fighting experience).

When cucurucho found them and they were given parents it was the first time they probably ever truly felt safe. And while they don’t have much experience with the world and interacting with players as far as we know they’re still smart and they used this safety to their advantage. I believe they’re doing this because they think if they don’t act younger or more naive then they’ll be thrown to the wolves (back to egg island) basically. I still think they’re just kids seeking safety from the trauma of the beginning of their lives
