3-needle join

You are more likely to encounter the 3-needle cast off, which I particularly like using for shoulders. But it’s also possible to do a 3-needle join without casting off, if you want to join two layers of fabric and then knit on, e.g. if you are making a folded hem and have used a provisional cast on.

I finally finished another cowl.

And here finally are both skeins side by side. I spun them as a 1:2 fractal and they turned out so nice!!

I definitely have to continue practising the fat singles but so far these fill me with SO MUCH joy. I wanna slurp them like sugar spaghetti <3

200g, approx. 130m of Cormo/Merino/Sari Silk. Colourway "Window to Spring" by regenbogenwolle.de. Squishy goodness!

I started the towels today!

And holy moly I know my weaving isn't perfect but I am so excited about how much my selvedges have improved after only a short bit of mucking around. I got some really good advice on a fiber arts discord server and I am so!! excited!!! 😭

Completed double knit fossil cowl. Pattern is the ‘Fossil Frenzy Cowl’ by HandHuntKnits that was adapted for double knitting technique.

This cowl was a year in the making, with lots and lots of help from a member in my fibre community who helped work out colour control for the twisted rib & created a stretchy twisted rib bind off for me. I dedicate this shawl to them, as without them this crazy idea to double knit this would never have happened.

Just got the back of Slade off the needles. For the shoulders, I deviated from the instructions by going with short rows that I will do a three needle bind off with the front pieces when they are ready.
