MY T H I G H.

15 years ago I fell in love with a series.  10 years ago I promised myself that in 10 years time if I still loved this series, I’d get a tattoo of it.

Today that happened.  This is the line work [ and a bit of color ] for my Inu-Yasha tattoo.  I can’t wait to see it finished, but even now, it’s more stunning than I could have hoped. <3

My tattoo was finished last night and I am so in love with the way it came out. I remember seeing this image way back when it first came out, when I was still reading scanlations online. I cried. Kind of embarrassingly hard. Now that I carry this image forever, I can remember what it means to have this series with me. Thank you so much ananjtatoos on Instagram for all her beautiful work and patience with me. It was kind of amazing to reconnect over you stabbing my leg repeatedly💕

Once the dying screeches of those caught in the kazu nu kize had faded away, Kagome let her finger tips come apart, releasing her barrier with a sigh of relief. Raising her hand she wiped away the single bead of sweat that threatened to roll down her temple with her wrist. She didn’t realize how physically tolling holding up a barrier could be so it would be best if they ended this quickly. 

Now that she was no longer surrounded, the miko moved quickly to retrieve her fallen weapon, relieved at the familiar feel of her bow in her hands once more and raised it, already knocking an arrow into place and looked to Inuyasha. 

“There’s no way he’s going to want to come out after seeing your wind scar,” she pointed out with a frown, walking over to her husband and carefully avoiding demon bits from getting stuck to the bottom of her sandals. If she were an invisible demon, where would she hide? 

“Could he be further back in the forest where the trees thicken?” Kagome questioned aloud to her partner, raising her arm and pointing in direction she was guessing the demon could be hiding out, but the action made her wince. Her arm throbbed where that pesky shape shifting demon clawed her and now that her adrenaline was wearing off she was beginning to feel the pain of the wound. Raising her arm up towards her face, the black haired woman pushed the long, draping sleeve of her miko garment to her shoulder to examine the cut and winced. It was still oozing a bit of blood but thankfully it didn’t appear to be too deep. Still, that didn’t stop it from hurting. 

For some reason, the aura off the demon didn’t seem to be tickling any of his sharp senses, though the smell of blood was.  Gaze softening as he turned to Kagome, Inu-Yasha allowed his sword to fall into his left palm, his right extending to her arm.

“Take it easy for now.  That thing got you pretty good.”  It seemed like a small cut, but with demons, that was never truly the case.  “May have gotten some poison in with it or something.”

Tessaiga was pushed into the ground, standing it upright while he pushed back his red sleeve.  The kosode underneath found its way to his sharpened teeth, a piece of it easily tearing away into a strip.

“Hold still,” he mumbled with the material still in his mouth before tying it around her arm as a makeshift bandage.  “Not as good as you can do, but it’ll work until we get home.”  As he allowed Kagome’s arm back to her, he went to grab Tessaiga, finding it laying on the ground a short distance away from where he’d put it.

“The hell?”  Inu-Yasha asked to mostly himself, when a sharp pain cut a bit too close to his eye, blood dripping down his forehead.  “Fucking...”  He reached a clawed hand up, seeing the dark red on his fingers.  Using it to charge an attack, throwing the blood as blades towards the now screeching demon.

“Found him!”
