no more cold and calculating i want warm and calculating. i want characters who use deductive reasoning to figure out whether their friend would like a wool or cotton quilt based off of their lifestyle, career, hobbies, and habits. i want "your nails are often chipped because you work for a law firm as a typist for this company which notoriously underbudgets their IT department, so ive bought you a keyboard cover that will not only prevent manicure damage but is also sensory friendly because I know you dislike certain clicking noises". i want characters who figure out their friends entire schedules and social battery levels just by examining who only use that info to know when the best time is to hang out with them. i want characters who create elaborate, supervillain level schemes just to get their hands on some collectible they know their best friend wants. most of all i want characters who do not use intelligence and reasoning skills as a reason to be cruel but as a means to be kind

Bilbo and Gollum. Bilbo is the moon for some reason which is cool i guess

Smeagol and Deagol. I love the seaweed in the background, great attention to detail

Frodo serving Robin Hood-realness at his and Bilbo’s birthday party. Literally iconic

Isildur taking the ring from Sauron. Its great but I would like to see more of Sauron than just his hand, because I think he has the potential to look really cool

It's from this meme post I drew up a while ago that haunts my notifications every day since it took off way more than expected haha

I saved transparent version of the Jean and Wanderer ones while drawing it since I was torn between which one to make my pfp

Settled on Jean since

A) She's my Genshin pfp

B) Good vibes

C) I relate to Jean on a spiritual level. I too am a hardworking mom friend who often needs to be reminded to take time to rest. The quest where you help the Knights of Favonius clear her schedule to throw her an appreciation party really resonated with me. I've had times in my life when I was spending so much time and energy taking care of other people that I was burning out and it meant so much when friends of mine stepped in to say "Hey. It's okay. Just sit down and rest. We appreciate all you do and you're worth taking care of too."

Rest is something that, like Jean, I'm having to learn how to do guilt-free. If rest is something I think Jean deserves, then it's something I deserve too.

No no but so much of her other music is genuinely good. The problem with this whole album is the lyrics needed a second draft and the music compositions were (for lack of a better term) derivative of her prior work. I saw someone say TTPS was like is Midnights and Folklore had a baby and I agree. In a bad way. For nearly every song on this album I can point to a specific TS song that has nearly identical composition and better lyrics.

Like hey she has some incredibly good lyrics that have stuck with me

“You kept me like a secret and I kept you like an oath”

“Now I’m begging for footnotes in the story of your life”

“I want your midnights, but I’ll be picking up bottles with you on New Year’s Day”

The entire song Death by a Thousand Cuts? Cardigan? Exile? The Last Time? Tolerate It?

Not to mention all of the Red album (Country-Pop composition Taylor at her peak) the Folklore, Evermore, and Midnights albums (Poetic Lyrics Taylor at her peak) etc like ?? I have problems with T Swift as a billionaire and this new album is painfully mid, but the reason it feels like such a flop is that she genuinely has written and produced some good music through the years and genuinely is capable of being a good storyteller and lyricist. This album just ain’t it.
