I have a problem with basically all of these. You can just something happening in writing devoid of context is bad writing.
There are multiple contexts where most of these would not only be acceptable but good writing, within context.
Example, narrative framing that the character doing a bad thing is in the right. So we are just ignore every anti-hero story that every existed? Or villain protagonist stories with a first person perspective?
Character doing bad things = not a problem.
Narrative framing that character as being in the right = problem.
Demanding sympathy for them in excess of the sympathy given their victims = problem.
Denigrating their victims for not forgiving them or supporting them = problem.
Demonizing characters that oppose their wrongdoing = problem.
Making all the good characters support and forgive the wrongdoer = problem.
Excusing all the bad things the character has done = problem.
Treating their trauma as a justification of their wrongdoing rather than an explanation of it = problem.
Not because I expect media to constantly be a lecture on morality, but because it’s poor writing.
Personally I say anime as a term only applies to cartoons made in eastern countries just because of cultural contexts and influences. Sure a cartoon like avatar and Teen Titans try to emulate these influences but it’s distorted one way or another since it goes through a western lense. It’s less the animation style and the tropes but the culture behind it that led to those style and tropes. Hence why I personally feel the term “western anime” is oxymoronic.
wHAT I FIND FUNN IS THAT ANY AND ALL CARTOONS IN JAPAN ARE CALLED ANIME. Stop gate keeping the term. Anime animation is often times outsourced to korea anyway. As is western animation. In wstern anime circles anime specifically impies like, The style for a show. It's jsut we usuall specif further, like chinese anime for example MDZS, or western anime like RWBY.
You wanna know the irony of my disdain for Twokaiser/Zox Goldtweaker is?
He’s what I wanted out of Gokaiger. Instead of just taking the suit wholesale, slight modifcations to suit so they would still be distinct. But since it’s attached to that dancing fool it’s tarnished.
To this day I still can’t believe KH3 managed to get the music for the Toy story world so right..... and then completely fucked up the music for the Monsters inc world. WHERE’S MY JAZZ NOMURA?!
Thank you for reiterating to me what I already said in the original post I guess.
Look I’m sure invincible is a great show. It’s just ever piece of super hero media lately is some deconstruction where the big hero is actually this morally grey or morally black secret bad guy and I’m just sick of it.

THEY BOUGHT A FUCKING DESERT! HOLY SHIT! That’s hilarious!
I have lived in the desert the vast majority of my life. I know how god damn it is to grow anything edible out here. At least traditionally Edible. They are so fucked.
Black Hammer actually bought some land. Holy shit.
I’m 21. I grew up being persecuted for liking this stuff. Not to the extent it happened in The 80s and 90s, but I fucking saw the switch from Comics and sci-fi defining you as a social outcast and then suddenly being part of the cultural zeitgeist of popular media. Hell people who were into the same stuff as me in elementary school, turned on me in middle school cause they social adapted and I didn’t.
The funniest part about unlikeable geek men is they really are fully convinced people don’t like them because of their hobbies. They cannot even begin to process the idea that comics and D&D and shit have in fact always been kinda cool and their personslities might just be repulsive. The combined unwavering ego/persecution complex is… unreal.
