I think a lot of like discourse of what to focus on with this or that thing gets the end goal and things to ease newcomers into your ideas confused with each other.

Like yes perhaps the end goal is to get UBI going but if your Uncle Jerry is currently struggling with the concept of taxes maybe get him to understand the cost of road maintenance first before you start trying to get him onboard with free preschool.

Also just because someone is explaining the concept of taxes to Uncle Jerry doesn’t mean they don’t believe in free childcare.

Hardison's fake accents are so endearing to me. like sometimes he explicitly has to be "guy from X country," but often, the character he's playing could totally be an American! could totally have his normal voice! but nope he rolls a d20 in his head right before speaking and now the jewel thief has an awful British accent. the middleman is a stereotype of French people. just because, just for no reason. this show is great.

#it’s like he watched Sophie do an accent a couple of times and just starting assuming that’s how you grift people #but Sophie’s characters have actual reasons for being from X country/region #like she’s working with trading racehorses in the south? of course she has a southern belle kentucky-derby accent #art expert from the vatican inspecting a michelangelo? well yeah or course she’s italian #hardison does not put that much work into his characters though
