NOTE: the little symbols on the gender-spectrum square are by no means a catch-all; they were the most widely accpeted symbols i found and used them so that each corner would have a symbol. Also, the middle circle represents gender neutrality.

It's okay if you don't know what your sexuality is

It’s okay if you don’t know the name for what you’re feeling. It’s okay if you choose not to use the name for what you’re feeling. It’s okay if your feelings change. It’s okay to not understand your feelings. Just know that I believe you and I support you. No matter how ridiculous or weird you think your feelings are. They are valid. You are valid.

i’ve known of trans men who have said they’ve always known themselves to be a boy and have always responded to cues that indicate maleness or cues that are directed at men all of their lives. i’ve known of trans men who have said they used to be young girls until they transitioned to maleness and have a different relationship to their own history of socialization and existence. both of these experiences are (geek voice) valid and neither of them ‘erase’ the other countless variations of people’s experiences with transphobia and trans existence. multiplicity is key, and there is no need to totalize.

also hey, lesbians who are 18+ and still haven’t had a relationship with a girl/can’t even imagine what a relationship with a girl is supposed to be like, you’re okay. we got a later start than some, whether it be because of compulsory heterosexuality or other reasons, but that doesn’t make you any less of a lesbian, and it’s okay to feel lost in regards to dating and sex and not knowing what you want yet. you’ll get there, and there are so many others like you. you are okay, and you don’t have to be alone in this.

Daily reminder that there isn’t one Perfect Bisexual. If you’re attracted to multiple genders, you can identify as bisexual if you want. You dont have to feel the same attraction to different genders, you dont even have to date different genders to ‘prove’ you’re bisexual. You can go your entire life dating one gender and still be bisexual. You can feel attracted to one gender only a tiny bit and to another gender a lot and still be bisexual.

We’re not made to be put in a perfect box. Bisexuality is a spectrum and I welcome all bisexual people on it, no matter how their attraction to others works.
