I’m toying on redoing Hanji’s blog. Making a new one for a fresh start. I’ve had this one for years, maybe even a decade by now. I want to redo tags and start again get rid of old baggage it might help me with writing Hanji. 

I love her to bits

I don’t want to let her go. 

Maybe archiving this and starting again might just be what I need.

It wasn't that she hated a bath, that she liked smelling, that the feeling of dried sweat on her body was nice... she just felt there were more important things she could be spending her time doing. But having Levi around to remind her, no force her, into taking a bit of time for herself was handy. Despite his looks, and the rough kick into the tub, he was gentle with her. "Mhmm" she replied, not pushing her luck with her hypothesis, but still stood by it. He might never admit it but Levi never did something he didn't want to do.

"Alright. I'll stop" she conceded, letting him battle with her thick hair, otherwise he might just hold her underwater. He tugged ruthlessly, pulling her hair at the roots as he untangled most of it, her face contorting from the pain. "I think I missed my last bath when you were off with Erwin talking to the bigs", Moblit was a good friend, a perfect assistant, but he didn't have the ability to just throw her in the tub. A leg poked out the water, hands lathered it with soap before it tucked back away, replaced with the other, "It must have been a silent protest of being left behind".

Like a tree, Hanji falls. Somehow, miraculously, they accept their defeat. After some twenty odd years, they've sense at last.

Or rather, Levi amends, perhaps just barely. It's a start, he decides. Their comically fruitless struggle now quashed, Hanji — too long, limbs spilling clumsy out the tub — lets their prattling little ramble run and run. He bets being irksome's like their second skin of sorts, and as their soppy, greasy head comes splashing through the bubbles, Levi, slightly wet, mourns: yes, it is. Enjoy, he made out, detached. "Is that right?" Clinically, he fists them by the scalp, grasp firm, and begins lathering. Hard. "Your head's backed up with gunk, four-eyes." Squeeze...! "Holding it under the water should flush it out."

Well, how ominous. Levi, scrubbing, listening, frowns, the standard-issued soap dizzyingly caustic. God. "Read the room," he says, haranguing their hair with his short, blunt nails. "Don't make shit weird."

Hanji felt bad leaving the way she did but she had no choice. Kimi’s dad had contacted them, the hold he had on her was huge. As much as she tried to distance herself he still managed to find her and she would always go back. But this time he had gone too far, Hanji had grown as a woman and as a mother. He had injured her too badly for him to get away with this time. She knew what she had to do, and now she was free, and Kimi was safe from him.

Her mind always wondered back to her little apartment, the job she had in the restaurant, how peaceful it was there. Kimi always came back from school happy, the playdates she would have with Kouta. And Kou... 

Her heart raced when her phone rang, an unknown number but one she recognised. Her thumb swiped and answered the call, smiling brightly at the voice on the other side. 

She was silent for a moment, taking a breath to stop herself from apologising, “I’m back in town. Kimi missed school and I -- well, I had my reasons for coming back. I’ll text you my address and you can come by tonight if you’re free?”. She wasn’t as thrilled as him, worried about her new look and how he would take it, but she had to rip the band aid off sooner or later otherwise why was she even back here?

returning home completely wasted, kou parked his car in the driveway and walked to the trunk to get his shopping bags out. walking up to his apartment, he suddenly noticed a letter by the door. "hm?" why would anyone leave a letter in front of his door and not put it in the post box?

bending down he took the letter and looked at it. eyes growing wide when he read the sender's name. how long has it been? was she here? is she in town? he immediately opened it. and indeed, she left her number. without hesitation he called her phone.

"heeeeyyy!!!! such a surprise!!!! where are you? i'd love to see you."
