a random midnight thought -

The system of free markets is competitive, helping support efficiency and innovation.

However, have we confused and wrongfully applied the same principle to human beings? We live in an age of social darwinism, with cut-throat competition. Everyone is a competition and we are taught to go forward by pulling others down. But humans are no markets. We're social creatures with a heart, soul and a longing for fellow beings.

Personally, I have felt that I have innovated the most when I was in a relaxed state. Of course, we require certain scrutiny by others to keep ourselves in check but hasn't it gone too far at this point?

I am aware that there are loopholes in this idea and the other side holds valid arguments but the current state of things, with life being so fast-paced, does not sit right with me and I hope with many others.

P.S. For sure I am going to regret writing this post in the morning. Just a random rambling.

Jungkook has finally made his official solo debut!!

I wanted to ramble a little bit here because JK's debut and the recent developments made me contemplate a bit about things.

It's truly amazing how each member of BTS is able to hold their own on a stage in their own special way. This 'break' has made me realise how powerful BTS actually is. My perspective has really changed significantly. Seeing them together now feels so much more intense and strong! That's because they already shine so bright by themselves . Together....it's insane!!

I love them. I have followed them for a long time. They were the ones who introduced me to K-pop so man years ago. Now we've all come so far!

Their comeback together in 2025 is going to be insane to the extent of numbness for me ><

I'm writing this post when midnight is just around the corner. Taeyeon is that artist for whose soulful voice I have heard praises from all comment sections and YouTube videos. Today I want to recommend a song of hers. The title 'Dear me' I realise is so heartfelt. We do not often express such adoration for ourselves.

I remember I came back from college a few days back, feeling drained and dejected. I have been feeling lots of stress nowadays with regards to my future and my goals. I feel like I have wasted my time and in such criticism, I even disregard my capabilities. So that day I put my earphones on and listened to dear me (with the lyrics). I could not fully focus on the lyrics but somehow I felt relieved and on the verge of crying. I felt grateful to this song. Though I still take lots of pressure and worry a lot, I'm working on it. Hope this song helps you too through your bad times and makes you smile through your good ones :)

This was my song recommendation for 'Dear Me' by Taeyeon, from Purpose, her 2nd Album repackage.
