they're touring the us until may 5th and they have a show in istanbul on may 28th. but hey, maybe they could open a few shows... not the whole leg. louis' had a few openers on the previous legs so... giant rooks for uruguay, argentina, paraguay, chile..? ugh, louis! announce the openers already!!! and bring tldp too somehow, thanks.

this is making me so beyond emotional. the guy who barely had solos for all of x factor and two full albums and thought that maybe he’d just never be good enough, the ‘can’t sing’ target of every stupid one direction joke on the internet, the guy who wasn’t even sure if he would or should pursue a solo career has a live album out today from his second world tour that’s still in progress. because he believed in himself, and because we believed in him. and now we get to be together on record forever 🥹

it makes me so angry that louis was taunted for his voice for so long and he had to deal with that mocking from so many one direction fans for years and to this day being called the “untalented” one when that is the furthest from the truth… it must have been very hard to get through and affected his confidence and self belief, especially moving into a solo career, and it makes me so sad for that little boy on stage who was nervous enough as is and had a lovely (nervous) little performance that got him 3 yes-es because in reality his voice IS incredibly special, unique, compelling, and his passion shines through completely. louis’ voice has ALWAYS been essential to one direction’s sound. you can see it clearly in “something great” where he’s missing from the song until the very end, and something just doesn’t feel the same about that song- it doesn’t feel like 1d fully, and that’s because you don’t have the gorgeous contrast of louis’ voice that provides so much body to the songs and the distinct sound of one direction. he’s always been essential, he’s always been talented, he’s always had a great voice, and one direction would not have been at all the same without him. i’m so glad he was able to stick it to the assholes who made fun of him by proceeding with his solo career, making the mark he has, and showing the power of his voice.
