THXRTY9INE
Tumblr media
Putting it down for the hardcore rap scene THXRTY9INE does not miss on SHOOTA ON THA LOOSE. His grunge type cadence definitely brings hype to the track and the venue playing it!
It doesn't stop there though, he's not categorized there maybe he was experimenting because when it comes to bars and flow he executed it greatly on his verse in TRILL ASF.
With a super drug fueled, high fashion rebellious aesthetic THXRTY9INE continues to drop his work as he worked on his sound along the way but he's definitely not slowing down anytime soon.
Tumblr media
Stay tuned as he continues to drop music and visuals. Stay updated or simply hit him up for work inquiries with all his social medias posted below along with his discography.

TRIP777
Tumblr media
Having some melodic tunes along with a catchy voice. TRIP777 is definitely going down in the books or me.
With his single SAFTEY having a good club vibe but also being versatile enough it can also be used for other circumstances. It's impossible to categorize this artist because being from New York and having an uptempo flow it's very attention catchy.
Simple enough this man can really hop on any track and make it his own. Even though it sounds like he has many influences he doesn't fail to zero in on being himself.
Tumblr media
Working with some other underground artist like KinG00f, $layz & EMONEY . Hes really hard to miss in the big apple.
Stay tuned into his social medias for any updates on music, visuals and more!

The Local Shooter Vs. KORRUPT
Tumblr media
(LS ) Hello thank you guys for allowing me to interview your group! If you guys can all introduce yourselves and where you guys are from?
(K) WERE KORRUPT WE HAVE 10 MEMBERS IN OUR COLLECTIVE:
NOHOESSTEPH - GLENDALE, ARIZONA
CRISTIAN PEREZ - GLENDALE, ARIZONA
PANCHOR3VENGE- PHOENIX, ARIZONA
GAMDEVII - CHICAGO, ILLINOIS
RUDEBOYURL - HOUSTON, TEXAS
VRO4K - DOWNEY, CALIFORNIA
VINTAJ- BETHESDA, MARYLAND
SCAM - DETROIT, MICHIGAN
WHOKILLEDROI - PHOENIX, ARIZONA
ZEUS - GLENDALE, ARIZONA
(LS) How did korrupt come about? And how long have you guys been a collective?
(K) THE IDEA OF KORRUPT CAME ABOUT LATE NOVEMBER EARLY DECEMBER. HOWEVER THE BEGINNING OF FEBRUARY WAS WHEN EVERYONE CAME TOGETHER AND THE NAME WAS INITIALLY FOR A CLOTHING BRAND THAT NOHOESSTEPH HAD BEEN PLANNING, BUT SCRAPPED IT. WHEN THE NAME WAS BEING THROWN AROUND IN THE STUDIO AND WHEN VRO WENT IN FOR HIS VERSE ON THE FIRST TRACK OF THE ALBUM HE SAID “WE KORRUPT” WE ALL KNEW RIGHT THEN THAT WAS THE NAME.
(LS) Does korrupt come with it's own sounds or do you guys think you're individual sound is what makes you guys great as a collective?
(K) KORRUPT HAS BEEN A COLLECTIVE FOR ABOUT A YEAR NOW. KORRUPT SO FAR HAS TACKLED THE RAGE RAP SOUND FOR OUR FIRST SELF TITLE PROJECT “KORRUPT VOL. 1” HOWEVER WE ALL ARE VERY DIVERSE IN TERMS OF SOUND. MOVING FORWARD THERE WILL BE NO CATEGORIES AND NO LABLES. IF WE FEEL LIKE WE CAN MAKE IT THEN WE WILL. WE WANNA BE ABLE TO MAKE ALL TYPES OF SOUND.
(LS) What's the next move for you guys as far as visuals or shows? Is there anything special planned now that the pandemic is slowing down?
(K) THE MOVE FOR NOW IS TO DROP AND PROMOTE ALOT OF OUR SINGLES THAT WE HAVE READY TO GO. WE ALSO WANNA GET SOME VIDEOS DONE FOR THE FIRST PROJECT BECAUSE THE PANDEMIC SLOWED THAT DOWN. WE ALSO PLAN ON GETTING SOME SHOWS GOING SOON AND COLLABORATING WITH LOCAL ARTISTS.
(LS) Do you guys think there's any other group or artists you guys would collaborate with in the city or outside the city?
(K) WE ARENT REALLY LOOKING TO COLLABORATE WITH BIG ARTISTS BUT WE WONT PASS UP THE OPPORTUNITY IF IT COMES. WE ARE INTERESTED IN WORKING WITH LSG. THEY ARE A LOCAL COLLECTIVE OUT HERE IN AZ AND WE FUCK WITH THEIR STYLE AND MUSIC.
(LS) Have you guys thought of making a collective tape? Like on some cozy boy vibes?
(K) AS OF RN A BIG COLLECTIVE TAPE IS NOT IN THE WORKS. WERE SAVING “KORRUPT VOL.2” FOR THE RIGHT TIME. WE ARE JUST FOCUSED MORE ON SINGLES, MIXTAPES AND DUO EPS. WE WANNA TEST WATERS WE HAVENT SWAM IN YET.
(LS) As far as the arizona music scene do you guys think you guys get the recognition yall deserve for being such an underground group you guys don't get mentioned in the lil Prado convos or the freddie kev convo why's that ?
(K) WE BELIEVE WE DESERVE ALL THE RECOGNITION WE ARE GETTING AS OF RIGHT NOW AND WE DESERVE MORE. WE BELIEVE WE ARE ENTITLED TO THAT. WE ALSO BELIEVE WE NEED TO EARN OUR RECOGNITION AND RESPECT. WE ARE STILL VERY NEW AND ARE LEARNING ALOT ABOUT OURSELVES AS A COLLECTIVE AND WE ARE GROWING ALONG SIDE THE ATTENTION WE ARE RECEIVING. PRADA AND FREDDIE ARE VERY TALENTED ARTISTS AND EARN EVERY PIECE OF RECOGNITION THAT THEY GET. WE TIP OUR HATS TO THEM. THEY WORK HARD. MOST IMPORTANTLY THEY PUT ON FOR THE CITY AND WE WOULD LOVE TO BE A PIONEER FOR THE AZ SOUND AS WELL.
(LS) How can an artist join korrupt if they'd like to? Or is the team set in stone?
(K) AS FAR AS NOW KORRUPT IS NOT ACTIVELY SEEKING MEMBERS. KORRUPT IS ALOT OF THINGS. A BRAND, A COLLECTIVE BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY ITS A BROTHERHOOD. WE ARE ALL LINKED IN SOMEWAY. WE ALL KNOWN EACHOTHER FOR A WHILE. THRU DIFFERENT SCHOOLS AND DIFFERENT MEMBERS IN THE GROUP. WE ALL HAVE LOVE FOR EACHOTHER AND WE BELIEVE THATS WHAT MAKES US SPECIAL. HOWEVER KORRUPT ALSO DOESNT JUST HAVE RAPPERS. WE HAVE FRIENDS THAT BEAR OUR NAME AS WELL. AS FAR AS THE MUSIC ITS PRETTY SOLIDIFIED FOR NOW. BUT FOR OUR MAIN SUPPORTERS, OUR FANS AND ASSOCIATES LIKE: ENGINEERS,PHOTOGRAPHERS , VIDEOGRAPHERS ETC. THEY ALL HAVE THAT BRAND TO THEM AS WELL. IF THEY BELIEVE THEY ARE KORRUPT THEN THEY ARE. ITS AN IDEA. ITS A WAY OF LIFE.
(LS) Can we expect anything new coming from you guys very soon or do we just got to keep our eyes peeled?
(K) LOTS AND LOTS OF SINGLES ARE ON THE WAY. WE HAVE BEEN WORKING NONSTOP. “VRO$TEPH” IS ON THE WAY! A COLLABORATION EP BETWEEN OUR TWO MEMBERS VRO4K AND NOHOES$TEPH. WE ARE VERY EXCITED TO GET THE BALL ROLLING. ONCE THE MOST RECENT DROP HAPPENS WE PLAN ON ONLY TURNING IT UP FROM THERE!
(LS) Where do you guys see yourself in the future? Are you guys looking to sign a deal, stay independent maybe even start your own label some day?
Thank you for allowing me to interview you guys as a collective is there anything else you guys would like to mention? Shout outs? Music links? Social Media?
Please drop below and until next time ...
(K) AS FAR AS SIGNING ANY DEALS WE DONT THINK SO. WE WANNA STAY INDEPENDENT FOR NOW. A LABEL IS DEFINITELY THE GOAL IN THE FUTURE BUT FOR NOW WERE STAYING INDEPENDENT. THERES 10 OF US SO A LABEL WOULD NEED TO THROW A LARGE SUM AT US TO GET US SIGNING ANYTHING.

The Local Shooter Vs. AHNIST
Tumblr media
(LS) Hello and thank you for allowing me to interview you today If you  can start by introducing yourself and where you are from?
(A) Grateful for the opportunity. My name is Martin, I perform under the alias Ahnist and am originally from Orlando, FL. Now residing in Los Angeles, California.
(LS) How did you find your passion for music, and can you remember the first time you recorded?
(A) The passion came around 2005 from exposure to artists like Kanye West and Eminem who broke barriers to me lyrically and visually. First time recording must've been when I was 15 and using some type of old desktop mic or headset - primitive I know! Used the Us Placers beat from the almost-supergroup CRS.
(LS) How would you or someone who's never heard your music explain your sound or genre?
(A) Experimental theme music. Something you would expect from a blockbuster trailer or an anthem a wrestler would walk out to that hypes up an arena. Hip-hop is the foundation of it and those elements of cinema or WWE-esque theatrics help express it.
Tumblr media
(LS) What's the next move for you as far as visuals or shows? Is there anything special planned in the last few months of the year?
(A) Next move visually is a video with one of my partner-in-crimes Vivec (IG: shinkyuu_) (soundcloud.com/lord.vivek) and director Simri (IG: obscro) for our collab tape Rush Hour. Shows are still TBD from COVID but never say never. For the last few months of 2020 an EP will pop up come hell or high water. Manifesting this thing one way or another.
(LS) Do you think there's any other group or artists you would collaborate with in your city or outside the city?
(A) Locally, definitely fascinated how a tune would sound with Belis. She's got a great upbeat, quickdraw delivery I'm a fan of. Then outside of L.A., anyone from my hometown or residing areas/states down south - Sylvan Lacue, LE$, etc. If by chance my homie Dabnap Nate reads this - PLEASE RELEASE OUR SONG ALREADY DAWG. ITS A BOP.
(LS) What is the recording process like for you? Are you picky about location and vibes?
(A) Recording is mostly the peaceful part. All the time before the booth is obsessive, stressful editing and memorization. Always a ton of water near me and awkwardly holding my notebook or phone over the equipment. In a handful of takes it's accomplished and I can finally rest knowing it's saved somewhere. With vibes, I do prefer the less folks there, the better. Unless of course we're working on a song with multiple features. As far as location, Goldmind Studios run by Will Santos in Pasadena has been my favorite spot to lay it down. Owe him a visit ASAP.
(LS) As far as the music scene, do you think you get the recognition you deserve for being such an underground artist or do you think you are growing and that's the least of your worries?
(A) Continually growing and thankful to still be. Recognition from my peers, I'm insanely appreciated of. Recognition from more heads will come in due time as I continue to pay my dues. What would Bobby McFerrin say? - Don't worry.
(LS) Where can one work with AHNIST?!
(A) Based in Los Angeles, so always good to meet up around the city and work / record / transcendentally meditate lyrics, what have you. On my trips back home to visit the 407, absolutely willing to schedule recording time and lay work down there too.
(LS) Can we expect anything new coming from you very soon or do we just have to keep our eyes peeled?
(A) A single most indeed sooner than later and the music video as mentioned before by year's end I believe.
(LS) Where do you see yourself in the future? Are you looking to sign a deal, stay independent maybe even start your own label some day?
Thank you for allowing me to interview you today is there anything else you would like to mention? Shout outs? Music links? Social Media?
(A) The routes taken by those such as Tyler, The Creator and Donald Glover as entrepreneurs/ jack of all trades inspires me towards what they've accomplished. Starting a label would likely be my first of many steps in music, entertainment, and beyond, God willing.
Thank you for your time and questions. Just would like to say please vote and drink more water.

We all know R&B rap can not die, and it seems to actually be growing more and more every year. In this very euphoric feeling track, we get lost in the mind of KiDD Eazzyy with his latest track “Tell Me” he explains being on the road, chasing this constant love for money and being blunt with a girl he happen to run into while being on the road. Hailing from Tampa he doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
Be sure to check out his content and social medias to stay on top of all his new drops!

The Local Shooter Vs. Slugz
Tumblr media
(LS) Hello and thank you for being apart of a great come up, can we start by you introducing yourself! Who are you? Where are you from? What do you do?
(Slugz) No problem man I'm glad to apart of it. They call me Slugz, I'm from Miami, FL. I'm rapper/Producer but currently just trying to expand my brand as an artist.
(LS) Being from Miami where you got your SGP’s, Lil Pumps, XXX and more, what’s the music scene like for you? How has those artist affected you as an individual?
(Slugz) That's actually a good question the people who got me into music were original members in the group called member only with ski mask and X. If it wasn't for them I would be rapping right now to be honest.
(LS) You’re a producer/artist now which one comes first for you, now yes they’re both part of art but both carry completely different roles, which is more important for you?
(Slugz) Honestly being an artist is my main goal over anything I do artistically. So I'd say being a rapper comes before anything I do, music is the only thing I got left besides the streets and I dont wanna end up there forever.
Tumblr media
(LS) You’ve recently previewed a tape your dropping on 4/20 called “Die4Me” what was the whole process behind that tape why did you go with that album name?
(Slugz) Well some songs are actually about a year or more old and others are very recent. This tape itself is very personal to me because it's about something that caused me alot of emotional and mental instability. So "Die4Me" means I need someone willing to die for me like I am for them.
(LS) What’s your goal ultimately when it comes to music? Is this a pass by for you, are you looking to stay independent or are you going to go the whole nine yards by signing and what not?
(Slugz) I really just want to see how it goes independently till I find the right deal to sign. Right now I'm really just starting to build a real fanbase for myself so as of right now that's all I'm focused on. I want to eventually sign of course but I really want genuine fans from the ground up, dont want to be an industry plant.
(LS) As far as Miami locals are there any you can name right now that you think don’t get enough credit that they deserve? Who are some of your favorite locals to work with if any?
(Slugz) I personally dont work with to many locals I try expand to other states as far as networking. Dont get me wrong I'd would really like to work with a local collective called BrainDead and we will but as far as now I'm focused on creating a fan base for myself before hand.
Tumblr media
(LS) What’s up next for Slugz? Besides the D4M tape are you looking at working on visuals? Shows? Or is it right back to the booth?
(Slugz) Yea definitely look out for visuals sooner than u expect. Also definitely expect to do alot of shows as soon as the quarantine stuff is all over. I'm going to be performing in cities like Miami, LA, Denver, Houston and NYC.
(LS) Is music your only passion as far as art? Or are there any other creatives lanes you see yourself getting into later down the road?
(Slugz) I produce other than being a rapper. Another artist thing I've gotten into about 6 months ago is Graphic designing but that's about it.
(LS) As far as art who are some of your influences, musically or not that definitely helped build your style?
(Slugz) I really was inspired by Tyler in 2012, seeing a 16 year old from LA stand up for what he believes in and making music that alot of people didnt agree with as rap. To be honest alot of his music made people mad and I find that hilarious. He really inspired a whole generation of artist that are big now.
(LS) Thank you again for being here for this great come up, is there anything else you’d like to mention about this 2020? Or should we just keep our eyes peeled? Are there any links you’d like to drop where new and old viewers can check you out?
(Slugz) I appreciate being your guest along the come up. Just check out my new single from "Die4Me" called 4Memories

The Local Shooter Vs. B-LIFE
Tumblr media
(LS) Hello thank you being apart of a great come up and welcome, may we get a small introduction for the people reading who don’t know who you are, where are you from? Who are you? And what do you do?
(B) I'm B-L1FE or B to most. I am an Indiana native but for the last 4 years I've been in the Houston, TX area. I do everything except make beats. I'm a recording artist myself, I engineer, DJ, design, visuals, animations, curate. To add to all that I'm also the CEO of my own record label, FAITH×VICTORY Records. I also am the CEO of three other companies: SupportArt which is a promotion company that also houses a collective, and MeditatedMerch which is my clothing line. There is stuff I'm missing I'm sure but I'm basically the one stop shop for good underground business.
(LS) Being a Texas native how do you feel that the music scene has impacted you and your creativeness?
(B) The scene in the H has never really impacted me much but surround regions have amazingly unique sounds that are almost nice accents to a style like mine that blends hip hop with metal and alt rock. The Dallas FT. Worth area is full of this new wave sound that people like Jah or $not really helped catapult. Then south Florida is known for the wild hype sounds they give us like Pouya. I think these regions influenced me by just kind of telling me hey its ight to let go and just be me. I used to be signed under a different stage name and to be honest it was all bullshit. All the rules and what they wanted me to be. This area in general just let the monster loose I guess you could say.
(LS) You also run a blog on your own called supportart where its a platform for many creative artist in the underground, how did that come about and how long have you been running it?
(B) We are gonna be two years old in June which is unreal. We house 20 artists at the moment including myself. It honestly all started as a group chat of artists trying to put together a collective mixtape. Most people didnt come through but it actually opened a networking portal that led us to our first client who was King Kap who at the time was signed to Quality Control. We continue to work with him to this day and alongside the leaders I make the calls with (Yung N ICy, Fat Daddy J, Psych Ward, Penny the Shabba, Waveon, wa55up, & Kaster) we just had the flood gates opened on us. Alot of trial and error but never once have we been exposed or finessed. We work hard for the underground and have new ways coming soon to showcase hidden talent.
Tumblr media
(LS) you seem to be a jack of all trades with graphics, producing, and much more! What do you feel is your strongest creative outlet for you and why?
(B) All the other crafts came from being a recording artist. I think I truly shine there. Away from the art and visuals, I've had some pretty big accomplishments as the rapper B-L1FE. Sometimes I forget to push my own stuff when I'm so busy pushing the underground or my artists. In 2019 I dropped my first and sophomore album which did well. Underviews did an article naming me a young mogul. I made the underground freshman list which was amazing to be with the likes of GNAR, Lord Xan, 916frosty, and more. But if anything compares it's my graphic design. I've been doing design since I was 14 and I'm almost 28 now. I still have every graphic I've done and my portfolio now have close to 6000 pieces. It's the main reason I could leave the day job life behind.
(LS) You also happen to be on all major platforms with a couple single releases, where did you first find your passion for music? Also how did you know that it was going to be a career for you?
(B) My parents didnt really do much parenting but they did raise me around terrific music. I have right now I believe 83 songs on all major platforms which is quite a bit since my contract from the previous record label didnt expire until April of 2018. My parents raised me around Dr. Dre, Bone Thugs, Snoop, Nas, Destinys Child, Master P, and all the greats. So I had this around me so much at 12 I started writing structured songs and didnt even realize it. Football was passion #1 but when I decided to rescend my commitment to Eastern Michigan University, I started toying around with being in a band. After awhile my vocal cords suffered from pure metal music. So I turned to rap which was also like a hobby. Then once I began to network in around 2012 I noticed I had something alot of others didnt. So it was then I knew. The rest was waiting for the contract I signed stupidly to expire. My biggest influences would be Chronic 2001 by Dr. Dre and Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park.
(LS) Your most recent single regurgitate and there’s a single called “Welcome To Hell” which did amazing numbers on Twitter! What was the whole process behind those songs and why did you pick that specific song to shows case the project?
(B) The process behind these two singles were both random to be honest. I put out my second EP back in December and wanted to take my time on my third album so I do what I call SINGLE SZN. I drop a new song on major platforms every week. It started with my first single of 2020 which was 'Never' and 'Welcome to Hell' was the second. With that one it was Angry Orphan's concept (featured artist) and he sent me his parts and a rough idea and I thought since we both are lyrical artists let's do what Em and Royce do when they collab and take these same schemes but change our words and small parts of our flows. It made a very cohesive song. The marketing is always the same for me. I let people know way before something drops that it's coming. The main key is promoting stuff more than once. So many people drop a track, run it through some group chats for that day, and then leave it to die. You gotta keep pushing content towards people. With 'Regurgitate' I hadn't even planned a part of it. I woke up to an email from SupportArt's head engineer, Penny the Shabba, that two beats. One was the beat for that song. Wrote it in 15 mins recorded it mixed it, he mastered it while I did the cover, and within 4 or so hours a full song was ready and off to distrubution.
Tumblr media
(LS) What’s a regular day in the life of B-LIFE? Do you wake up in the morning go to the studio? Do you wake up in the morning and start interviewing people and check on your blog? What is the first thing you do when you wake up?
(B) The minute I wake up I need a shower. Cant start the day right without it. My studio and everything is at home so I just go off my daily planner. I keep everything written down including my own personal stuff and I usually pick whatever project I really dont wanna do to start. That way I'm getting through the 'blah' jobs with full energy and the shit I'll enjoy doing I save for later when I'm drained. Usually first thing I do business wise is touch base with my team. We use telegram so we can avoid social media. We a family so they come first. Next is clients. Always touch base with any clients waiting still or people I may have had halfway to the payment phase.
(LS) juggling music, blogs, graphics, and also a clothing brand how do you know when to find time for each creative outlet? Do you set a certain schedule for certain things? Do you have a certain day for certain things how does that work for you?
(B) I wish I knew. Everyday is dedicated to everything. I didnt want to say okay Tuesday we design only covers and logos but sell 5 videos the night before that Tuesday. I ask my clients for deadlines and bundle clients I tell them the timeframes. To be honest my turnaround is so quick and I've done this for so long I do it super fast. Some AMV clients get their video back in an hour with their mind blown. I try not to look at it as such a big work load. Whenever I do feel overwhelmed then its time for like 30 mins on the xbox or a jog. Somehow I never run out of creativity which certainly helps.
(LS) What’s your main goal as far as music? Do you plan on getting signed, are you looking to stay independent? Is music even your full on passion or are you looking to stay more on the blog and manager/artist development side or what is your main goal?
(B) Main goal is to get my label signed how Travis Scott did with Cactus Jack. It keeps the artist safe and in it's own way allows you to stay independent but with proper funding. Music is the main passion. I never say I manage my artists. We push them to build their own brands and we help them with that. I'm simply just keeping a platform all about love. The rest does it's own thing all by itself. Truly amazing.
(LS) Thank you again for being a part of this great come up, is there anything else you would like for the readers to know about you? Or should we keep our eyes peeled for anything to come in 2020? What are some links that you can share were new readers can go ahead and find your work?
(B) You can find everything related to be via my linktree which is linktr.ee/lifewitha1

The Local Shooter Vs. Reno
Tumblr media
(LS) Hello thank you for being apart of this great come up and welcome, for the people that don’t know may you start by introducing yourself? Where are you from, who are you, and what do you do?
(R) MY name is Renø and I am from Sioux City, Iowa. And I’m a rapper singer songwriter.
(LS) What’s the music scene like in Iowa and how has it affected you or motivated you to be better than the next?
(R) There is honestly so much underrated talent I see everywhere. After a year of preforming all over the Midwest, so many people have inspired me to be hungry to be better at my craft. Not only do I analyze the local scene for inspiration but I compare to the mainstream music to compare and see where can I improve or do better for the quality of the mixing of my music.
(LS) Do you find it easy to work with local talent or even other underground artists? Or are you usually more on the solo side of music?
(R) I work mostly solo. I’ve done a few features but I didn’t wanna overdue it with collaborations. I just wanted to focus on me and being a bit more out there, so they know me as an artist.
Tumblr media
(LS) We see you currently dropped a EP called “Faulty Mind” what the concept behind that project and how did it come about?
(R)Yeah the Project was just my way of making my mark in the local scene. A lot of these songs was me venting, while showing off different styles of my craft. While writing this project I wanted my fans to get to know me on a personal level while still maintaining a steady energy. I wanted this project short but sweet.
(LS) Is music your only passion or are you looking to get into different creative outlets? Modeling? Designing? Etc
(R) Yes I am wanting to expand and produce for me as well as other artist. As well as make my own brand of clothing.
(LS) As far as Reno what’s the next move? Are you looking to do shows? Tours? Music videos?
(R) Yea Music Videos is a big thing I’m investing in for this year for this project as well as my next project.
Tumblr media
(LS) We see your audience isn’t as broad yet on twitter, are you new to the whole music scene, if not when was the first time you realized you wanted to do music as a actual career? Or are you just new to twitter?
(R) yes I’m not as active with twitter and that’s something I’ve been trying to work on. I’ve been pretty new to Twitter. I’ve known I wanted to be a musician for a while. I just never took action till about three years ago when I started performing small local shows. Once that expand and I started performing across the Midwest I knew I had what it took . Especially since at the time I never dropped a track solo or a project.
(LS) Ultimately are you looking to get signed or stay independent? What do you think would be a better route for you?
(R) At the moment I want to stick to being independent. Signing to a label can be misleading from a lot of stories we hear. So at the moment I would say no but it could definitely happen in the future.
(LS) What’s the creative process like for you? Are you a professional studi type of artist, you need to vibe for a bit and what not or when you hear the beat you can just grab the mic?
(R) I like to change my environment and test what I can do a lot. I record alone at times and others I record at a professional high end studio. And it depends on the song for me to go about it. If I want a more complex thought out track. Imma write a song out for a few hours. Now if it’s just a fast pace hype song, most of the time I can just record off the top and just vibe.
(LS) Thank you again for being apart of this great come up, anything else you would like to mention? Anything we should keep our eyes peeled for this 2020? Please drop some links where new and old viewers can check out some of your work or even contact you!
(R) Yes later this summer a lot of Music videos and a new project with a few single coming soon.

The Local Shooter Vs. NOMOVALENTINE
Tumblr media
(LS) Welcome and thank you for being apart of this great come up, can we start off by introducing yourself, who are you, where are you from and what do you do?
(N) I’m NOMOVALENTINE, I am a Wisconsin songwriter and recording artist.
(LS) Being a Milwaukee native how has being in the underground music scene affected you? Do you find it hard to work with other locals or do you usually do your own thing?
(N) Honestly we’ve never really had a sound. Being so close to Detroit and Chicago, there’s so much diversity within the scene. Everyone basically just pulls from their influences, so there isn’t a definite sound that I’d be able to know you’re from my city. As far as working with other local, it’s rare, at least for me. As you establish your, you start to realize how cliquey the scenes are. That’s bad energy.
(LS) You currently dropped a demo tape called “Love Me Before I Go” what was the whole creative process behind that like?
(N) From the start of it all in the early fall to the finish early this year; the whole journey felt like a race against time. I’ve been dealing with a lot of court litigations, so I truly felt like if I didn’t drop this project, I wouldn’t have another chance.
Tumblr media
(LS) What’s the next move for you? Any visuals? Any show or even your dates you got coming up?
(N) From shows, to music vids, the current podcast, and more. A lot coming in over the next few months, especially collabs.
(LS) Who are some of your influences that you listened to growing up that’s really helped you with your sound?
(N) I’m not gone lie, I didn’t start listening to hip hop til I was in like 7th or 8th grade with ODD FUTURE. Before that, growing up it was straight alternative and rock music, like Portugal. The Man, Coldplay, Paramore, Three Days Grace, All-American Rejects, and shit like that. Once I actually started making music, R&B is what pushed me 24/7. From PARTYNEXTDOOR to 6LACK.
(LS) As far as music what’s your main goal? Are you looking to get signed or are you gonna stay independent?
(N) I’ve heard the warnings about signing, but I’m not worried about that; I’m only focused on the present. As an artist I’m still finding myself, so I’m letting my path come to me.
Tumblr media
(LS) You’ve been featured in some fashion show run ways also, what other creative outlets are you looking to get into as you grow or is music your only passion?
(N) Honestly anything, I’d fuck around and be a pornstar if I felt a calling lol. Like I’m young, so I’m just tryna experience more life and make money.
(LS) How would you explain NOMOVALENTINE to artist or people who are just stumbling across you and your music?
(N) I don’t feel like there are any words to describe who I am or what I’m about without over simplifying or making it too complex to understand. I grew up the same as most people, and even though I’ve always felt different, the experiences over the past couple years are what made me. If i had to put simply, I’m just a soul stuck in the loops of love, lust, and feeling lost.
(LS) Any tips you can give to fresh artist tying to get into the scene? What are some obstacles you’ve had to over come as an artist that others don’t see?
(N) Trust and love yourself first. Don’t rely on anybody. Build up your own capabilities, before looking for people to help you advance; but most of all, just stay genuine and true to yourself. I’ve been stabbed in the back and betrayed more than I can count, but at the end of the day, it’s “just business”. So, you gotta move differently and be solid no with yourself no matter what.
(LS) Thank you again for being apart of this great come up, any links you’d like to add to the old and new fans who want to check you out? What else is in store for you or should we just keep our eyes peeled?
(N) Of course, you can check out my soundcloud for most of my music

The Local Shooter Vs. Scrappy Flako
Tumblr media
(LS) Goodmorning and thank you for being apart of this great come up, for the people who don’t know by now we got Scrappy Flako today, can you go ahead and tell us a bit about yourself? What do you do? Where are you from?
(SF) Hi, thank you for putting me on, I’m Ivan Munoz, but you can call me Scrappy Flako. I do a podcast here in Phoenix where I interview local creatives that do music, photography, videos, etc. Any art of form is welcome on my podcast where we can discuss and learn from each other. I also model and I’m just an overall creative dude that likes to try something new. I was born in Phoenix, but after kindergarten I moved to Yuma then came back to Phoenix after freshman year of high school. So Phoenix and Yuma are a part of me.
(LS) How do you juggle being a producer, a rapper and also a talk show host all in one? Like do you decide when you wake up which one you’re gonna focus on more that day or how do you choose?
(SF) I don’t really consider myself a rapper and/or producer only because I know people take those careers way more seriously than me and are better than me too. I’d say my beats are still amateurish at best, and I rap just have fun on beat. Which is why I’m making Food City Gang. A fun project that people can enjoy and laugh at the dumb bars I spit out. I definitely prioritize the podcast first because it’s the reason why people follow me and it makes me happy that everyone is interested in this passion project that’s becoming something more than what it is. So I give it the attention and care it deserves because the podcast has brought me a lot of beautiful people in my life.
(LS) What came first for you music or YouTube?
(SF) I think Youtube came first. When I was in middle school I’d always watch Smosh, FreddieWong, or even flash animations that were funny as hell. My first videos from middle school are still on my channel, alongside the podcast videos, and leave it as a memory so people can see I’m still that kid with dreams.
Tumblr media
(LS) You’re very open with your musical side, you’ve dropped a couple bangers in my opinion, and also you recently played your beat tape which was fire on your live stream! When did you start getting into that side of the creative lane?
(SF) I’ve always been into music. I picked up guitar when I was in middle school as well and I learn a lot of metal songs, video game songs, and anime theme songs too. Time went on and I just explored other genres of music, then started falling in love with rap beats. Especially lofi and boom bap because I just love the drums and jazz chord progressions. The community here in AZ is really supportive, and I’ve always been really shy about my creative side but now I’m being more open about my stuff, even towards people I meet in public. I would just keep to friends and that’s it.
(LS) As far as the “Scrappy Flako Talk Show” you have been growing very rapidly and have had some remarkable talent on there like Saiah, SirenSings, Pariah Pete & More! How and where did you get the idea to start a podcast in your moms house?
(SF) So I actually pitched the idea to Pariah Pete to interview him. Pete and I used to work together at Chipotle and he would show me his music and I would fuck with it. Later on, he’d start doing shows and I would always go to them because it’s cool seeing a friend doing his passion and seeing him get the love he deserves, but even then I want people to know who Pete is and the other talented creative minds here in AZ. I’ve always had studio equipment in my room but I wasn’t doing anything with it. So when I saw podcasts like Joe Rogan or H3H3, I just said to myself “let’s use the equipment for podcasting and just have fun with it.” There was nothing to lose if I tried, but I did want it to be a good podcast that is presentable and somewhat professional. I made it into an “actual” podcast as much as I can, so when someone sees it they think “Oh hey this looks pretty legit. I’m interested.”
(LS) You’re currently in the midst of getting an office space? How is that for you? Does this mean your talk show is being taken to the next level or what’s the idea behind the office space?
(SF) The office is gonna bring so much to the table for me. I'm going to be able to do much in that office because of the space and also that it’s not in my mom’s house anymore. So anything goes in that office. The current podcast room was pretty small and I also want to interview bands or groups of people so that office is perfect for it. Of course, this is gonna take the podcast to a new level, but I’ll have a lot more creative freedom for myself and I’ll be doing other kinds of shows without having to worry about anything. The office is gonna be a creative space that’s gonna be like The Cave from Kenny Beats, but there’s gonna be more to it. Also, it’d give my mom peace of mind since strangers aren’t going to be in her house anymore.
Tumblr media
(LS) What’s the next move for you Scrappy? More music? More streams? Another beat tape?
(SF) I’m gonna slow down and put the podcast on hiatus so I can get it ready for the office. I also need to do highlight clips for the podcast. Food City Gang Mixtape is in the works and it's gonna be me, my homie Angel Cabrera, and my other friend Ghost Diego who’s actually gonna be the beat producer for the project. As well as some features here and there. We’re gonna try to get it done by summer and we’re also going to make music videos for that project as well. We want to go all out on this project, but have fun with it and let everyone else enjoy it too. Maybe we can host a show at Trunk Space because I would love to see people moshing to BODIES. Other than that, I’m getting back into modeling so I gotta stay in shape and I’ll just have fun being creative.
(LS) Being a person who interviews many talents from the valley, what’s your take on the music scene in Arizona and what do you think it’s missing?
(SF) I think the AZ scene is fine the way it is. There’s a lot of love and support here and I don’t really see any hate or toxicity in the community. I think the scene just needs to keep growing, keep improving on their craft, and keep pushing as it is because we shouldn’t wait for labels, radio shows, or hand me downs when we are capable of forging our own career. It’s good that we’re making a name for ourselves and doing the things that make us happy. I fuck with some local talent more than the mainstream shit. I went to see Pete open for Doja Cat, not see Doja perform after Pete, you know? Good show though. I think what the scene needs is to still help each other out. I still feel like it’s a little bit of “every man for himself” mentality going on because people don’t want their ideas stolen, which is okay, but creative minds should try and lift each other up more. Feed off each other's energy and learn from it. What I do see a lot is artist’s personal friends and family don’t really care about their career, until they start making waves, but making waves can be hard when everyone is doing what you’re doing. So I try my best to show every artist the credit they deserve by at least checking out their music and maybe even shouting them out. Love like that can go a long way
(LS) What’s your main focus at the end of the day creative wise? Do you plan on taking music as serious as people think you want to or is simply a stress reliever? Is the talk show and YouTube your main passion?
(SF) The main focus is still the podcast and pushing it as far as I can. I’m gonna do different shows to showcase artists once I get that office. I appreciate the love that I get from the podcast and the amount of people who want to get on, but there’s gonna be other stuff that's gonna happen on the channel. This year for music, I’m gonna release Food City Gang and maybe I’ll make “serious” music after that project is done, but I probably won’t do shows like I have planned for Food City Gang.
(LS) Thank you again for being apart of this great come up! Is there anything you’d like to mention to the readers out here who want to know more about you? Or any links you wanna mention where they can check out your talk show or some of your beats?
(SF) Thank you again for putting me on here. This was fun to do actually. You guys can find me anywhere on social media or soundcloud. The Local Shooter Vs. Christian Kent
Tumblr media
(LS) Hello welcome to the great come up and thank you for taking time to participate, we can go ahead start off by getting to know you a bit, what’s your name, where are you from and what do you do?
(CK) Hello it’s a pleasure to participate, my name is Christian Kent. I’m a 19 year old fashion designer and digital illustrator from Buffalo New, York.
(LS) How did you get into designing? Were you originally a sketch artist or did you jump straight into digital illustration?
(CK) I started taking pictures for local talent and even got the chance to take pictures of LIL TJAY with my boy AP. Taking pictures introduced me to the creative community of buffalo that has so many people trying to collaborate and put on people, i already had talent in graphic design so when i started doing work with these people it made me go alot harder. I started taking my clothing design and illustration really seriously when rappers from my city wore my clothes and people started commissioning me for their merch designs. I used to sketch but i prefer digitally.
(LS) What are some of your favorite things to illustrate and why?
(CK) I love to draw things that i don't plan out before doing, this leaves me room for creative instinct.
Tumblr media
(LS) I’m sure with this type of field it gets deeper than just album covers or flyers, what is a main goal out of illustration? Do you plan on making a sketched series? A comic? Or?
(CK) I want to continue designing clothes, i also want to start designing furniture...i have collection of drawings coming out soon showcasing buffalo music talent that im really excited about.
(LS) What are some difficulties a creative in your area can face and are there any tips you can give for aspiring illustrators that don’t even know how to start or even build a client base?
(CK) You are going to have to work for free. It sucks but do it, it will not only get more people to notice you but its client work that you can put in your portfolio for when you are ready to start selling your art.
(LS) What’s the best platform you think artist like you can use to market themselves and really get themselves out there?
(CK) For me it is instagram i hope to try and build a platform on twitter but there is an amazing community of artists on instagram that love to support each other.
Tumblr media
(LS) You have this Aesthetic that seems very careless and child driven but it’s done like that on purpose which make it great, how did you pick up your unique style of illustrating?
(CK) My style of illustrating is a projection of me, i come off careless or child like on the surface but below the surface i'm elaborate and complex . Most of my art styles are organic and careless but have a very meaningful concept, i do this to show the power of innocence.
(LS) Have you ever thought of going big scale? Like on a KAWS level where your art is on the side of a building somewhere in Time Square or at a bus stop somewhere in Brooklyn?
(CK) I hope i get the opportunity one day, i am going to do a big graffiti piece this summer.
(LS) What’s next as far as CJ? Do you have plans for opening a gallery eventually? Maybe even prints of your illustrations? Or?
(CK) I want to put all my energy in my brand, eventually sometime this year im having a pop up in Buffalo which will have my art featured as well as handfull of outifits. I'm also working with my friend Lucas Waite who edits on a music video production company. But basically just focusing on getter better everyday.
(LS) Thank you again for being apart of this great come up and hopefully we can get you on a podcast soon, but is there anything we should keep our eyes peeled for or anything you want to mention to your fans? Where can we find your recent work at also?
(CK) Thank you for having me man and i would love to be on your podcast eventually.

The Local Shooter Vs. Quan Draper
Tumblr media
(LS) Hello thank you being apart of this great come up can we go ahead and start by introducing yourself for those who don’t know you? Who are you? Where are you from and what do you do?
(QD) What's good! My name is Quan Draper. I'm an artist and entrepreneur from Iowa - born and raised in Sioux City. I graduated from Iowa State University in May '18, but I been in the music game since before I even went to college.
(LS) How do you think music affected your life? What was your first memory you remember where you knew that music would be your passion?
(QD) Music's always resonated with me especially as a young half black / half white kid. Music is woven through sports, TV, film, etc and it shaped who I wanted to be. Music affords me the opportunity to influence people and relate to them without having to get to know them. I'm able to entertain, inspire, empathize, and educate people by using my creativity and my taste. Some of my first memories of music stem from early memories of my father. Having looked up to him as my primary role model, I looked forward to him picking me up from daycare and after school activities with his 22" rims blastin' hip hop through his speakers. He's a hip hop head so my preference for bars comes directly from him. Since I could remember, music was important for me and it was always a passion. As a kid though, I was encouraged to do some other things that I was good at - mainly academics. It got me a full ride to college, but I knew music would prevail for me because I was always writing music - in class, in traffic, at home. That type of consistency spoke to how much I loved it and it drove me to take my career seriously as I got my bag up.
(LS) You have a couple projects out of major platforms right now, with lovely being your most recent release what’s your next move? What’s in the works right now for Quan?
(QD) I have a lot of music in the vault, I just have to prepare them for release! I wanna drop a couple visuals, a couple EPs, and a lot of singles to really establish myself with my core fans. I gotta be more invested in giving them content and being visible.
Tumblr media
(LS) What are you goals as a musician are you looking to get signed eventually if so what would be the top three label you would want offers from or are you better of being independent?
(QD) I'm honestly not looking for a deal right now. I believe in my skills as an entrepreneur so I don't see myself needing to work with a major unless they could solve a problem that I couldn't solve myself like radio play or securing a direct support slot on a major tour which could benefit me greatly. Most production can be done without a label's backing, you just have to get on the phone or get in the DMs of the right people and take action. It's cliché, but life really is what you make it. Nobody will pickup the phone and give you opportunities. You have to earn them and you have to ask for what you want.
(LS) When it comes to your creative process are you picky about your studio? The time? The people or are you one of those who can literally put a mic in the center of the room and get things done?
(QD) I'm particular, yes, but I'm all about working with what you have. You can successfully record at home, on the road in a hotel room, at a recording studio, or anywhere. It depends on context though.
(LS) Who are some artist you look forward to working locally or even out of state? Do you look for certain something in the artist you work with or how does that work?
(QD) Features goin up in 2020 for sure. Psychedelic Sidekick, Zypher, and iswearimjoey from my city are all dope as fuck. Marc J as well. I'm good friends with Norman from Ames, Iowa. We got a solid rapport. And there are a couple guys out of Omaha that are nice, too - BODA and K Sean. I pay attention to how guys move and if they're forward thinking. I wanna link with guys who are building short term and long term. It's not easy or cheap to move like a boss, but I refuse to work with anybody who moves like an employee. I can hire for that, I need partnership.
Tumblr media
(LS) As far as local talent how do you think you place? Do you find your friendly locals to be more of competition or just peers?
(QD) I'm not gonna compare because everyone has their own lens on it, but I know I'm top tier talent-wise globally. I'm not even thinking locally. I haven't proven myself completely, but I can compete with anybody when it comes to this music shit. I'm comin from all angles - merch, visuals, projects, singles, and at some point short films and a youtube show, etc. It's all in the works, I just need time. We're peers though. They wouldn't fuck with me on a competitive standpoint. I don't think they have any incentive to make that sort of choice.
(LS) You have visuals out for “QB1” already do you plan on doing any more for any other singles this year or is your focus more on the tracks for now?
(QD) Visuals are a toppppp priority. I got a few concepts I'm ready to shoot with my guy Devin Phaly. Hardest working guy I know! Very grateful to work with him. He pushes me to be great and not just good at my craft. We'll do at least 3 more videos this year, maybe 4 if I can build momentum.
(LS) As you’ve grown and traveled through the journey of making music what’s one valuable lesson you learned going through it that you carry with yourself through the rest of the journey?
(QD) I think trusting the process and commitment to your definite chief aim is mission critical. I've learned that you don't get better at making songs unless you make more songs. It's easy to set long term goals. It's a challenge to stay committed when you aren't seeing results. Detaching from results and focusing on what you control can really drive productivity and quality up because you're harnessing your energy in the right place - the product. That's what lasts. That's what people remember. Not the cover, not marketing, but the song itself. I've made a commitment to myself that I'll chase this dream and I'll make the necessary sacrifices to see it through.
(LS) Thank you again for being apart of this great come up, anything else you’d like to let the fans and viewers know about what you got going on or any links you’d like to drop where they can listen to your music? Should we keep our eyes open for anything else coming this 2020?
(QD) Add me on every platform - Quan Draper or @quandraper. I'll have more everything out in 2020, but specifically be ready for content in all forms. Thank you for having me! I gotta do this again soon. I appreciate your time!
