Tires are extremely important items in any and all means of transport. Without them, you don't move.

When you use a means of transport, tires are the only contact between you, your vehicle and the ground. Therefore, they are very important for the performance of your means of transportation and for your safety and that of your passengers.

But beyond that, tires are a vast and curious universe that many people are unaware of. Get ready, because I'm going to tell you some curiosities that are sure to impress you.

Can tires increase in size?

Tires change size when they rotate. You will never be able to notice the change, but, believe it or not, they expand by 2% due to the air deposited inside that presses the inside;

Can you have transparent tires?

What guarantees the tires black color is the soot used in their composition. However, today, silica has been used. Thus, tires can be of any color, including transparent.

Safety Conditions for Your Vehicle Tires

The Brazilian Traffic Code (CTB), in Article 230, determines the conditions for driving vehicles. Precisely, in items IX and X establish requirements regarding mandatory equipment, which must be in accordance with CONTRAN.

The regulations regarding the conditions that the tires must present are in CONTRAN Resolution No. 540 (whose annex I was modified by Resolution 719 ).

It is a basic function of a tire to have the normal capacity of an inflated tire to support a given load at a given speed;
