Laylatul Qadr, In Ruku I pray for many people
I pray for my brothers back home, I hope get to see the world and find liberation in their limitations
I pray for my brothers here, they my friends but they my brothers. One of my brothers gotta grow up faster then we do, I hope Allah gives him peace and stability his family has so desperately been fighting for
I got another brother who lost his light and imam to play a role in this dunya, I hope he figures out who he wants to be and achieves it
I pray for his mother too, I hope she’s not burden too much by his choices, I pray for the ease of her anxiety.
I pray for my own mother, quite a bit, I pray that she stays in good health and continues to be that pillar of wisdom for me, she’s the smartest women I know.
I pray for her anxiety too, I know I be scaring her sometimes. Ya Rabbi please make me grow, thee fruit of her labor.
I pray for the woman I want to be the mother of my children, she deal with a lot of grief and sorrow, I hope Allah can give her solitude in her mind and make her path more clear, for her mental
I pray for her mother too, I can’t wait to meet her
I pray for my sisters , they’re my cousins but there my sisters. I pray for their safety in this terrifying age to be a woman.
I don’t gotta tell them I’m praying for them, if this dunya is a “water droplet from the sea sitting on a needle” like The Prophet spoke. Then by Allah’s grace he will help me attain peace
I hope the Prophet knows I’m walking in his footsteps, stumbling, but walking all together

From the Dungeon of Stanktonia
To the sands of Somalia
All the way to the Dirty Garage
Of London’s Underground
To the rooftop with the snipers
And where the ground seeps mud

Playing with your skin like a guitar
I wanted to consume
The carbon dioxide you exhaled
I wanted to be the one
Clawing behind your eyes
Guiding your hands to
Carve your name into my back
Stare at me with your beady eyes
Tied by our humanity
We will surpass it
#Barbaric
(Not real, just inspired by women’s urge for intimacy)

I don’t need your love
I shake hands with brothers after I say Salam
Play along with the children after I say Salam
I laugh with my dads friend
You love more when you start treating people
like you really knew them for the time they say
They take care of you as a child
Stop moving like that, You know them
Have conversation
Smile
There’s so much love in the house of Allah
The house took care of you
Take care of it and the people In it
Love

Ramadan isn’t warm anymore
My legs
They used to shake during taraweeth
You know as a boy
You rock back and forth
Waiting for the 2nd rakkah
“Just 6 more till I can play outside”
Maybe the cracks in the pavement
Showed my imaan then
I would get so tired of standing around
Waiting, not listening
Naive boy
As I grew
it’s became so much more
To stand with my legs in that spot
To avoid the shirk
Outside of the mosque
It hurts to walk away from the Musallah
I choose stand firm in prayer
Ya Rabbi shield me from the horrors
Outside of your home
- Ramadan Kareem

The humility I felt,
Praying next to a boy
About 6-7 years of age
Allhamdulliah
Regardless of what we know
What we have did
How we repent
At that moment
We did the same motions
In Ruku we were the same
In Tashahhud we were the same
In the eyes of Allah
we are all the same

Ya Allah, hear me
Give me the strength you gave Muhammad SAW
Give me the wisdom you gave Luqman al-Hakim
Give me the imaanx, faith, and kindness like you gave Ibrahim
I want to be like the ones you loved the most
Let the flowers bloom, the most gracious
Ramadan Kareem,

I was ten years old when they said
“And the universe said I love you”
Since then
I never felt nothing but that

She’s dancing
With a knife
It makes me so happy
Seeing her dance away the night
Who do I blame when I end up cut?
Is this self harm?
Maybe I’m a fool
