Vaccinate your fuckin kids

Concept: We allow vaccination choice, but those who don’t vaccinate their children must call ahead to all public places, and establishments are allowed to ban unvaccinated children. If caught, children are to be removed from the parent’s care temporarily, as the parent is commiting an act of bioterrorism.

Maybe a bit drastic, but if a child can be vaccinated and isn’t, the choice endangers EVERYONE. The elderly, babies and young children, those immuno-comprismised and/or unable, and everyone those vaccinated still come in contact with for a short while! Meaning you could endanger all those same people who aren’t even in the area. And it can affect still more because vaccines only protect against known strains, and letting your child be a Petri dish allows new ones to breed.

I do understand vaccine choice is important for NONESSENTIAL vaccines, like the HPV one. My parents even elected for my brother and I not to take it, as neither of us plan on being sexually active before marriage and it can cause sterilization. Knowledge of the effects of a vaccine is important, but understanding the likelihood of contact and effects is equally important.

But what do I know, I’m just some dumbass 18 y/o who grows cacti for a hobby.
