Our Solution to this issue
We believe that this discrimination of genders can be put to a stop. Organizing groups of people who are willing to help is the first step. People who are able to make a change, important to society. Doing so will enable a big audience to the issue and help it go around. Also, We believe that a new law would stop discrimination. The law would state "Equal pay for all genders" and if businesses don't respect it there will be huge consequences. one would be the business getting shut down if the law is not obeyed.

Gender Discrimination
Hello, My name is Faridatou Zoungrana. My classmate Mereka Geroge and I Want to welcome you to our blog about gender discrimination. In this blog, we intend to explore how Gender discrimination affects different fields in society. We hope to provide a solution that we think will help. My partner and I will create awareness of Gender discrimination by providing examples of them through our blog in hope of persuading readers that people need to step up to help in the cause. We propose that a possible solution may be providing equal opportunities to all genders. A group can be created to educate women the same way men are so they are on the same level, so there is no advantage from either. Throughout history, we have seen women being discriminated against.

Response to “Best Life: Young women fighting gender gap in sports”
There are many areas where discrimination lies such as sports. The pay gap in sports between men and women has a huge gap. Male athletes sports such as basketball, golf, soccer, baseball, and tennis make from 15 percent to 100 percent more than female athletes. For example In 2019, soccer star Lionel Messi made 127 million dollars, while tennis superstar Serena Williams made 29 million. It doesn't just stop there, female coaches also get paid less than male coaches, “ According to Equity in Athletics Data Analysis, when you look at the salaries of the men’s basketball coaches in the 2018 Big Ten Conference, it’s an average of $864,000 compared to a woman’s average of $221,000. “ Someone just like my class mate and Is also looking for a solution to this problem...Nina peneque as shown in the video below.

SEXUAL HARASSMENT
An obstacle that many women face in the workforce is sexual harassment. While the #MeToo movement has helped to shed light on the issue, little had been known, until now, about how many women are subjected to this type of mistreatment.
A survey conducted in January 2018 by the nonprofit Stop Street Harassment found 38 percent of women have experienced sexual harassment in the workplace, and 81 percent reported experiencing some form of sexual harassment in their lifetime, including verbal or physical assault.

Response to "5 Top Issues Fueling Gender Inequality in the Workplace"
Gender Inequality is the social process by which men and women are not treated equally. This treatment usually arise due to physiology, culture norms, society's double standards. Women have been the main victims of gender inequality for many years all around the world. Especially in the work place.
Working to achieve equality between all genders has been especially hard throughout the years because of the world changing rules and things becoming different. The authors examined gender inequality from the period of 1970 to 2018 . The authors did a study and they found out that women between the ages of 25 to 54 who are employed rose continuously until 2000 when it reached its highest point to date of 75%; it was slightly lower at 73% in 2018. Women have surpassed men in receipt of baccalaureate and doctoral degrees. To sum it up there has been dramatic progress in movement toward gender equality, but, in recent decades, change has slowed and on some indicators stalled entirely. Because of society and their mindset about women in the workplace.
“ We examine changes in multiple indicators of gender inequality for the period of 1970 to 2018. The percentage of women (age 25 to 54) who are employed rose continuously until ∼2000 when it reached its highest point to date of 75%; it was slightly lower at 73% in 2018. Women have surpassed men in receipt of baccalaureate and doctoral degrees. The degree of segregation of fields of study declined dramatically in the 1970s and 1980s, but little since then. Paula England, Andrew Levine, and Emma Mishel( 2020 ). Department of Sociology, New York University, New York, NY 10012
While some statistics show that women earn 80 percent of what men are paid, new data published in November 2018 suggests the pay gap between men and women may even be greater.
Women all around the world have the most important jobs to most people there are duties that are expected of them like cleaning , taking care of the kids ,cooking etc. But Sadly women are not respected and treated less than in the workforce . Like unequal pay , it was proven that women are more educated than men are , But they still earn less than men in the United states. Why is that?. Women has also experience sexsual harassment , A study shows that 38 percent of women have experienced sexual harassment in the workplace. Men in the workplace don't have to worry about being sexually harassed. Women have to worry about their gender and what it offers.
1. Unequal pay
2.Sexual harassment
3.Racism
4.Women are promoted less than men
The author of these articles focuses on the top fueling gender inequality in the workplace. Giving examples on why women are still being mistreated in the workplace and being less equal to men when it comes to working. Women have a lot of responsibilities at home, the shefs , cleaners etc. But when they're at work their job doesn’t seem that important . The author point out many examples on why women are treated unequal to let the readers know that there are still a lot of issues and problems about gender inequality in the workplace and we need to recognize it fast and soon to accumulate a solution .
