I really despise this whole "self-empathy is when you don't give a shit about anyone other than yourself" thing. How the fuck can you just say shit like this and not feel a little bit like a piece of shit? "My country supporting a genocide? Not my problem. People in my community facing bigotry? Not my problem. An ongoing pandemic of a highly contagious disease that tends to cause permanent damage in those infected? Not my problem."
