George stretched a bit as he listened to her but not taking his eyes off of her for one second. “I am feeling a little better.” he answered, “I will take it slow, my love, but I must get up from this bed. May we go to the garden today?” he replied, hopeful for a day outside of the castle, even if just for a little while.

She couldn’t believe her ears when her father had told her, part of lilith regretting having snapped at her father in hurt and anger. All she had in terms of family were her Father Argent and her uncle Percival, she’d lost her mother before getting to know her and she was the only child and heir as her father had never remarried. It only made sense of high social standing families to promise heirs to other families, connects and ties could make or break a family, could bring enemies or allies that could destroy a household name or save them. Lilith had almost not realized it when she was hurrying through the halls of the palace, her feet taking her straight to King George III- he needed to know what she had just learned.

One of the servants who had run into the aristocrat, had noticed her tearful eyes and was quick to lead her to where the king was “Your highness, Miss Graves is here to speak with you it…..appears to be of great urgency” they spoke as lilith waited outside the room, their face one of concern unsure what had upset the lady so much “Shall I send her in and fetch some tea to calm her down?….she seems very….she seems distressed”

George watched her as she started to fully wake from her slumber, hearing her panic once she had. “You slept through the night and yes, it is morning, my love. The sun rose an hour ago. And do not worry yourself with work, I am giving you the day off.”

“ well , hello sleeping beauty . you fell asleep on me . ”

The brunette looks up to the male as she rubs her eyes briefly before sitting up rather quickly. “How long was I asleep? Is it morning? Should I be working?” It’s sort of a panic, due to the fact that no one needed to know that Maria was residing in the King’s quarters. Lord knows how his advisors would view her after such a scandal were to be revealed.
