I think people forget that Liverpool football club is the way it is because the fans crack down hard on it. When the owners tried to furlough the staff with only a % of their wages it was the protesting fans that put a stop to it which meant they got full pay. When they tried to up the prices before it was our walk out that put a stop to it. Our whole “unity is strength” extends further than supporting a few fellas chasing a fucking ball at the end of the day. I do proper find it odd when people try and disagree with actual match going fans being hurt by decisions, especially the scouse ones. This city and it’s fans have always shown resilience and it’s not up to others to tell us how to respond. What other fans do and don’t do over their club raising prices is up to them, I’m not sat here saying other fans are dickheads for allowing it to happen so ye can’t moan at the ones trying to put a stop to it. The issue with this world is people have this mentality of “well I’m sound it doesn’t impact me so I’m not arsed” good for you you aren’t impacted but the lad 5 seats down from ye is, so be arsed for him. The arl couple who have attended for years together are sweating not knowing if they can afford to attend anymore. The man who lives in misery everyday of the week comes the game and it’s his only source of happiness, why should that be potentially ripped from him? Youse all climb out with us when it’s fuck the tories, but when it matters youse crawl back into your shells. This is why no one gets anywhere in life yeno cos if ye can’t protest before a game of football when can you and I mean that in all aspects of it, not just the footy. Genuinely proper baffled by what I’m seeing from people yeno, it’s fucking ludicrous.
