hey tate! what are some of your favorite destinations in Europe for solo travelers? I'll have 2 weeks rare vacation in early spring and can't decide where to go for the life of me lol

I mean it entirely depends on the kind of vibe you're going for! Here are some places/trips I loved.

If you're looking for:

Culture/beautiful cities: do a train trip between Prague, Vienna, Budapest (and Ljubljana is you have time)

Hiking/big mountains: do the Swiss Alps and French Alps (e.g. Grindelwald, Zermatt, Interlaken, Chamonix)

Mix of coast and mountains: do the Basque countryside in Spain and France, from the coast to the Pyrenees (San Sebastian, Bilbao, Biarritz, and small villages all around the Pyrenees)

Depending on how early in spring, you could do Iceland or northern Norway & Sweden if you want to try to see Northern Lights

If you want a mix of mountains, culture, and fantastic pizza: do Florence to Venice to the Dolomites

All of those are beautiful wonderful trips. The Spain/France one may be better if you're comfortable with a rental car, but in general they can all be done via train and bus (though northern Norway/Sweden/Iceland will be the most expensive by a landslide and probably involve the most forward planning - but worth it!)
