I mean it's labeled "sympathetic" and it's a heart choice, and it's obviously not that he was probing for useful info. He really just thought this was a good time to have a heart-to-heart with a stranger, never mind the bus crash and the grime and the alcohol everywhere and the fact that the guy is drunk and also clearly doesn't want them in his space

To go back to my stupid little AU of the LH group but their caveman iteration, I just have such stupid ideas about it but also absolutely adore those ideas lmao.

Caveman J always sleeps on this pile of rocks covered in furs, when he snores it echoes so loudly in his cave its been mistaken for a stampeding mammoth.

The discovery of fire was a huge deal amongst the gang that led to many outbursts over who gets to use the mighty flame first. It ended with them sat in a cave cooking up some hunted dodo meat or some shit IDK but they refuse to talk to each other

Little guy Caveman A was the first to domesticate a wolf, I like to think he got bored and wandered off in to the woods despite Lady A and J telling him not to and he wandered upon a wounded wolf pup and decided to help it instead of making it dinner.

J doesn't like the new furry companion but is most often found sleeping beside it, though he just excuses it by saying the wolf is warm.

Cavewoman A will only the wear the finest and warmest furs, she's really nit-picky about what furs she will allow herself to wear. Woolly Mammoth? Fuck no! Sabretooth tiger? Absolutely!

Cavewoman T always goes out gathering but only with V if he's out hunting. She likes collecting extra berries and fruits that she hides from the rest so she and V can sneak out and eat them somewhere quiet. Despite how many times she's been caught she still does it every time.

Caveman D likes to try hunting but is awful at it, absolutely atrocious and has been nearly mauled to death by many different predators. He thinks stone is stupid and that he could find something better (He refuses to admit its a skill issue) but eventually he discovers metals and brings about the dawn of the bronze age.

No one believes him and thinks its stupid, but eventually come around to it once D proves its great at killing things.

They all share one giant cave and sleep around a nice big fire, its a nightmare and dysfunctional as fuck, but its cute and sweet I swear

I was thinking an entire new set of the gang, new J, new A etc.

J was definitely the one to do cave painting and teach the others how to record stories or events with it, I like the C and M idea a lot, T was a gatherer but only does it to hang out with V who is a hunter, D discovered metal by accident and thinks it would be cooler than rock to which the lady As like to tease and jeer at him for that, as for the little guy A? He's just happy to be there, probably the first to tame a wolf or something IDK

But I have questions.

Is it like, a new set of doubles from back in caveman times? Or is it an au where Angela, John, etc are cavepeople? In the latter case, have they always been, or do events conspire to turn them into cavepeople and they have to figure out their new assignment?

And if they were always cavefolk, which of them discovered fire? Which one invented the wheel? Who first learned that metal is a thing and could actually be pretty useful? My bet is on Daniel discovering fire on accident, unless it's a new set of doubles, in which case it was definitely C in secret but then also M rediscovered it in public, or she was believed to, and it immediately gets her ejected into the wilderness or whatever cavepeople do to folks who are threats to the community order

I'd just like to add that Joseph went and dragged his dead wife out of a lake and gave her an actual proper burial after everyone turned on her for being supposed witch!

Vince is a sweetheart who was dedicated to Tanya but Joseph went all out for Amy and continued to try and seek revenge against the person he believed was at fault for her death!

John absolutely tries everything to sperate himself from Vince and act like Vince is worse than he is by a mile but deep down he knows that he is no better and to have Vince show raw emotion about his alcoholism hits him hard!!!

John is doing his best to be better but his alcoholism is haunting him and seeing Vince being his mirror image of alcohol abuse causing him to aggro because it hits too close to home.

I've actually never drawn an opossum before but taking my cue from @delurkr I knew what had to be done for J's birthday this year so here's James and little baby joey Megan(I didn't think her canon headband would be enough so I figured a nice bow would help) sitting in the grass and ngl James's hair translates super well to this so at any rate Happy Birthday to him ✨
