Former dancehall artiste Lady Saw, now known as Minister Marion Hall, will be performing at the White House on June 24. According to the icon, who recently converted to Christianity, the opportunity was presented by God.
“It not all about me, it’s all about God and I feel honoured to be an ambassador for Christ. I have to give him all the glory and honour,” Saw told The STAR.

She informed him that Dr. Agorom Dike called the radio station to get me on the Caribbean and African Faith – Based Leadership Conference, 2016, to give my testimony and perform,” she said.
The conference will be held from June 19- 24.
The goal of Caribbean and African Faith – Based Leadership Conference is to promote transformational leadership in the Caribbean and the African region.

Nateshia Lindsay - aka Ms Thing
Tumblr media
On Friday, August 28, 2015  the Drive Entertainment Show ENGAGE featured an interesting eye-opening interview. Host Kalando was joined in studio by Nateshia Lindsay, who is well known both locally and internationally in the secular world of music by the name - Ms Thing. She no longer highlights that side of life; owning to the fact that she has now chosen to follow Christ.
Tumblr media
In her interview, it was learned that Ms Thing began her musical career at the age of 17. Throughout that time, she had the opportunity of collaborating with some top names in dancehall, as well as seeing her name on music charts both locally and internationally. Ms Thing stated that though the experience was fun, everything changed for her in 2009 when she changed management. She realized that the industry was  male dominated. Not only that, but producers started doing their own thing with her songs without her approval, as well as taking advantage of her beauty by laying down ultimatums of their own, and if she did not comply, her songs would not be played on radio.
Tumblr media
Ms Thing did not agree to any of this, and so she stopped recording and performing on shows. This affected her, as there was no income coming in.  However according to Ms Thing, once there is God and he is in the vessel, she knows she can smile. On that note, in June of last year, Ms Thing decided to move forward in getting closer to God, by reading her Bible daily. She mentioned that her Grandmother was always the one to encourage her to go to church. She did return to church and attended a Crusade in which a Pastor prophesied over her, and from that day she never looked back on her old life! She decided to get baptized in September of that year.

TekMePikCha stopped by the studios of Love101, on June 26th to cover the activities of the Drive Time Entertainment Show – ENGAGE. On today’s show, the discussion with People Skills and Performance Specialist - Trevor Smith and programme host -  Kalando Wilmoth, on the guidelines for a job interview continued.
Tumblr media
All listeners were informed, on the commonly asked questions that are normally presented at an interview. This discussion was no doubt a prep up for all those who are gearing up to give their best shot, in nailing an interview.
In the hot seat today, was the talented, stunning and absolutely hilarious actress, Camille Davis.
She is well known for her leading roles in plays such as: Vibes, Ladies Of the Night and the more recently, Saving Alligator High. Engage was pleased to feature her in the Hotlight, giving radio listeners a chance to know more about her persona and career as an actress. TMP learnt that though Camille is an exuberant and well active individual on stage, she isiIn fact a shy and humbled person off-stage; She stated that “You could step on me, if you walked in a room”. She also went on to say that she always knew she would be an actress, and would also welcome a career in radio as well.
She is from a small district in Westmoreland and has a two year old daughter, who is her pride and joy. When asked what would she want to leave as a legacy to the world, she said: “To be that person who impacts people’s life positively through the gift that God has given to her” as well as someone who overcomes every challenge that come her way.

KATAYLS CREW - Love101FM’s Engage
Recently Tek Me PikCha caught up with Katalys Crew at Love 101FM, during the Friday afternoon drive time entertainment feature: ENGAGE, hosted by radio personality Kalando Wilmoth. The Engage programme comprises of riveting discussions, weekend run downs, interviews with local artistes, music features and event happenings. Katalys provided soulful acoustic backing for the programme on April 24, 2015, as host Kalando questioned the group on their latest endeavours.
Formed in 2003 with nine members, the crew has gone through several membership changes. When TMP joined the musicians in studio, present were:
Founding member, songwriter and producer, vocalist - Paul Barclay
Lead Singer- Shalom (Stephen Harper)
Drummer & Songwriter Mark Anthony Reid
Guitarist, Vocalist and songwriter Levoy Paul
The on-air segment was used to reassure listeners that the band was back, and also to discuss why they were off the radar for so long, and the fact that fans can still expect great music as before. They also testified to the challenges the group faces from naysayers who were skeptical if not out-right opposed to the reggae singing, dreadlocks wearing members. However Barclay unreservedly stated the positive impact they have had on a generation who would probably have been unreachable otherwise.
Speaking of great music, and armed with only guitar strings and a snare, radio listeners were treated to soul stirring songs like “God Only” written by Levoy, Paul and Mark, and “Break Through” written by Leroy Johnson and Paul Barclay.
You can follow and stay up to date with Katalys on their facebook page: Katalys Crew Productions and other social media sites.
