You know what, I actually enjoy writing children just being children, it’s so much fun
I was writing the Dystopia AU again. Young Stacey was holding a very real baby. Young Jean was blowing raspberries and the baby mimicked him and then he says “Baby?” and Stacey tells him that yes, it is a baby. He then gets into a situation with Lia. As in, she made him mad and then she cried, but he’s confused so he just says again “Baby?” While Stacey tries to calm them down and goes “Uh oh! Now the baby crying!” And then Jean and Lia say sorry to each other and play
Meanwhile Reese, Devon, and Marceline are watching cartoons and then they get into a heated argument over which character is the best
Seriously man, it’s so much fun to write happy children

Another totally normal Conversation—
I imagined the Twins having a stupid argument like this 😭
Lia: Stace, your boyfriend’s a twink
Stacey: No he’s not
Lia: Yes he is
Stacey: Have you seen how fucking short he is?
Lia: Uh…Twinks are slim, youthful, and are flamboyant. It has nothing to do with height, Stace
Stacey: But Jean doesn’t count as a twink!
Lia: HE’S LITERALLY SKINNY AS HELL
Stacey: NO HE ISN’T! HE HAS SLIGHT MUSCLES, HE DOES GYMNASTICS
Lia: STACEY…MY DEAR SISTER…HE’S A TWINK
Stacey: NO HE’S NOT 😭

Tbh I think if you can’t handle slight drama in a ship in a piece of media and are quick to call it “Toxic” or “Ruined” or BLAME THE FUCKING WOMAN
You need to seriously go touch some grass and go see ACTUAL people in actual relationships and see that it’s literally not fucking perfection
AND PLEASE, STOP BLAMING WOMEN

sure "romantic" isn't the only type of love but also "love" isn't the only type of positive feeling. So maybe stop insisting everyone needs love to be happy and accept that loveless ppl exist? Pretty please?

Love is not required to be human. Love is not a requirement. Love is not inherent to relationships or orientation. Love is not the epitome of all human interaction. Love does not determine your worth.
Love is neutral. Love is not universal. Love can be rejected. You don't have to have love if you don't want to.

“aros still feel love and can love” and “loveless aros exist and deserve respect” are two things that can coexist

Remember folks the solution to amatonormativity isn't to replace one type of expectation (romantic love) with another, slightly less restrictive but still restrictive expectation (every other form of love) but to erase the expectation altogether and let people be
It is true that (some) aros can still love but not all of them, and aros shouldn't have to make up for their lack of romantic attraction/love by feeling other types of attraction/love stronger. Love should not be a requirement to be treated as people
