All the reports coming from Rafah from the early hours of April 29 are literally identical: "Israel targeted the house of [family name]"

The same title, over and over again.

All within a couple of hours last night, three family homes in Rafah have been struck, killing at least 20, the majority of whom are women and children.

We now know about Project Lavender and we know about Israel's constant surveillance of Gaza so when I tell you that Israel had targeted civilian homes last night in Rafah, you know that there is absolutely no room for questioning Israel's intent here and always.

From the Freedom Flotilla, April 27 2024:

On Thursday afternoon, the Freedom Flotilla Coalition was contacted by the Guinea Bissau International Ships Registry (GBISR), requesting an inspection of our lead ship – Akdenez. This was a highly unusual request as our ship had already passed all required inspections; nevertheless, we agreed. The inspector arrived on Thursday evening. On Friday afternoon, before the inspection was completed, the GBISR, in a blatantly political move, informed the Freedom Flotilla Coalition that it had withdrawn the Guinea Bissau flag from two of the Freedom Flotilla’s ships, one of which is our cargo ship, already loaded with over 5000 tons of life-saving aid for the Palestinians of Gaza. In its communication informing us of this cancelation, the GBISR made specific reference to our planned mission to Gaza. It also made several extraordinary requests for information, including confirmation of the ships’ destination, any potential additional port calls, and the discharge port for humanitarian aid and estimated arrival dates and times. It further demanded a formal letter explicitly approving the transportation of humanitarian aid and a complete manifest of the cargo. Again, this is a highly unusual move from a flagging authority. Normally, national flagging authorities concern themselves only with safety and related standards on vessels bearing their flag, and are not concerned with the destination, route, cargo manifests or the nature of a specific voyage. Just like when you register your car, the authorities don’t require you to detail to them every place you are going to go with the car. Sadly, Guinea-Bissau has allowed itself to become complicit in Israel’s deliberate starvation, illegal siege and genocide of Palestinians in Gaza. Israel is showing the world the extent to which it will go to deny Palestinians the aid they need to stay alive, in direct contravention of International Humanitarian Law, UN Security Council resolutions, and two orders of the International Court of Justice. [...] without a flag, we cannot sail. But, this is not the end. Israel cannot and will not crush our resolve to break its illegal siege and reach the people of Gaza. The people of Gaza and all of Palestine remain steadfast under the most horrific, unimaginable conditions. We take strength from their incredible, inexplicable ability to maintain their humanity, dignity and hope when the world has given them no reason to do so. It is our responsibility to keep that hope alive. WE WILL SAIL.

The Freedom Flotilla, which was set to depart from Turkey on the 27th of April with 5000 tons of life-saving aid, has now been delayed because Israel and the United States has pressured Guinea Bissau to withdraw its flag from the Flotilla's lead ship.

Seeing as how their tactics worked on Guinea Bissau, organizers now fear that Israel and the US will exert the same pressure on whichever country the Freedom Flotilla attempt to register their ship under next.

To help the Freedom Flotilla reach Gaza, please keep an eye out for further updates from the organizers. Right now, as of April 27th, they're asking people to help boost their visibility, and to donate to their member campaigns.

in light of police across the country cracking down on pro palestine protests with brutal force, it feels like a great time to remind everyone to shut the fuck up around cops. don't make small talk, dont act friendly, don't fucking engage with them!! if you are arrested DO NOT speak without a lawyer present. protest organizers, get into contact with local pro bono lawyers who can be there for your arrested comrades. no matter what, if cops are there, shut the fuck up unless you are actively doing a protest chant. dont tell cops why you were there, dont tell them if you're affiliated with the school you may be protesting at, dont tell them if you came there with anyone, dont tell them anything!!!

when is comes to asexuality and aromanticism you have to be okay with contradiction. one ace person will say asexuality is about not experiencing attraction, another will say it’s about not caring to act on attraction, another will say it’s not experiencing arousal. one aromantic will consider themself queer, one won’t. two people with seemingly identical experiences will use two different labels. aro people will be in romantic relationships, ace people will have sex. you get it.

was scrolling a blog and saw someone saying the only people who harassed predstrogen were photography mathew and terfs, and i'd like to remind you that predstrogen was also being mass harassed by "transandrophobia is real" losers and as soon as her blog was deleted, transandrodorks took advantage to make up accusations of her of sexual harassing them and of being sexual with minors (the ceo even followed a blogger saying that). i think it's important not to ignore the incredibly violent transmisogyny of all groups who targeted her, and that includes the transmascs who worked with terfs to make a woman's like hell.

The most marginalized of white people will often be some of the most embarrassingly, vitriolically racist ones, even if they refuse to admit so to themselves and see their own racism as somehow Radical and Common Sense.

This isn't only about white trans women at all. Anyone who's followed me for a while knows I have a tremendous soft spot for anyone disabled, with an emphasis on those of us who're physically disabled, very much including disabled white people, and I've seen this pattern perpetuated by them as much as any other group of considerably marginalized people who happen to be white.

It's like you all know whiteness is your only lifesaver within our current social structure and instead of using it to help bring as many people to safety like an actual ally would (the only safety that would guarantee yours too long-term), you use it as a last ditch attempt at ingratiating yourselves with less marginalized fellow white people.

This is a historical pattern. White gays do it, white trans people do it, white women do it, white disabled people do it, ethnic white people do it, impoverished white people do it, white substance users do it, white sex workers do it, fat white people do it...

It's why poc keep saying that in the end, white people are white first and anything else comes after. It's not because there's a bridge impossible to cross or like white people are biologically incapable of not throwing poc under the bus.

It's that, 9/10 at best, marginalized white people will choose to lick the boots of white power for a thin and often delusional hope of climbing the power hierarchy ladder, instead of extending a hand in solidarity to people of color who're similarly oppressed, let alone people of color they don't have something in common with.

It's futile, though. Kissing ass to more powerful white people might save you for five minutes, but since you're not gaining your safety by addressing the root cause - instead gaining it by throwing those who should be your comrades in struggle under the bus - once all of those similarly marginalized poc have been sacrificed for a taste of safety or status, who do you think they'll come for next? Who do you think they'll direct their misogyny/transphobia/ableism/homophobia/etc towards once you're the only targets for it left?

I hope you're ready for it all once it inevitably happens.
