i just gotta have my weekly “i am frustrated w employed people” moment. because i just feel so isolated in every conversation, i feel envious of their income and ability to live an independent life and buy things. if thats u I truly do need you to recognize and be conscientious of the fact that even though there is much wrong with the environment and expectations of employment, still that it is a privilege to be able to participate in it, because it means you at least have that base level of worth to society so that you can participate in it as designed. ppl like me cannot.

so leik my mom is moved out so my dad is doing all the shopping now and somehow he managed to buy a handsoap that smells like irish spring. its not even like man soap or branded any particular way. just looks like normal handsoap. he was just driven to this soap by the powers that be.

ugh im still thinking about that terf comment earlier. I also looked at their blog and saw they had reblogged some trans masc art- they didnt leave any negative comments on it, they just wanted it on their blog in case someone like me wanted to check if they were an ally or not, to seem more trans friendly than they are. Kind of undermined by the fact that everything else on their blog was literally "ten tips for female separatism" but whatever. There may be people more slick about it than that, which is why its so important to Think and be aware of what your values are and why, so you can't be swayed by superficial displays of allyship alone.

it really is so uncomfortable being a trans man in cis centric conversations of feminism. I just wonder. do they know about people like me? do they care? if I brought it up to them, how would they react? Do they expect me to be their human shield?

asking ppl’s pronouns isn’t rlly the inclusive slay you think it is if you’re only asking the people you’ve clocked as a Possible Trans in a group setting

Thing is, I'm not just anti-fatphobia as in "I don't want people to be mean to fat people"
I am pro fat liberation as in "I want to dismantle the systemic biases against fat people and the diet culture and medical industrial complex that feeds into the very real systemic oppression that fat people face"
I don't see fatphobia as a mere interpersonal issue where if you are being nice to fat people or saying things in a polite way to them you're automatically free of fatphobia. I see it as essential to challenge every bit of diet culture myth that we might encounter and break the unscientific ideas of "health" as defines by weight, fat, calories, bmi, and other nonsense. I see it as essential to view fatphobia as the political issue it is and take it seriously as such, and to unlearn and help others unlearn oppressive baseless ideas we have assumed to be true and natural.

frankly I think it’s more insulting that you think I don’t realize what you are doing here. I am not your ally and your dog whistles are obvious. Nice try, but please fuck off.

To any trans man who needs to hear this: When they say they “hate all men” or want to “kill all men,” you don’t have to just accept that. It’s okay to feel hurt, it’s okay to feel unsafe. It’s okay to recognize that they are either othering your manhood or demonizing you for it, and to call them out for it if you’re in a position to. If they have trauma around men, they can work on that in private instead of expressing harmful sentiments around their marginalized male friends. You deserve love and safety. I love you and I hope I can help you feel safe.
