TSG TIP: 5 Ways to Style Jewels by Rosemary Corte of Harvest Jewels
Harvest Jewels owner, entrepreneur, girl boss and style icon, Rosemary Corte gave us 5 tips on showcasing your jewels for all types of occasions. What a great time because her entire website is 20% off right now.
“Every Harvest Jewels design reflects an intentional handcrafted inspiration. To each one I have added our signature diamond clasps and materials I love... from gemstones and diamonds to leather and precious metals. Our real passion is creating pieces that are classic and timeless. The design goal is a piece that takes you from jeans to cocktail and anywhere in between.”
Tumblr media
1. WEAR YOUR JEWELRY!
“I often hear people say, "this is too dressy for every day - right?" Wrong! If it makes you happy, wear it!  Studies show if a woman loves what she’s wearing it will positively affect how she interacts with others and how she feels about herself. And that is my goal with Harvest Jewels. I created a versatile line so all women can find a piece that gives them an extra boost of confidence when they put it on.  We have a large selection of dainty chains in our new "Dainty Does It' collection we love to style with athleisure, but if you have a bigger necklace (like one of our bezeled ones) - put it on with jeans and a top for work, running errands, or a fun dinner out. I love wearing my earrings and bracelets every day too!”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. EXPRESS YOUR STYLE & PERSONALITY
“Choose pendants that express and showcase your style and personality.  Is pink your signature color? We have a beautiful collection of pink quartz, morganite, and sapphire pendants and necklaces for you! Or, for the Easter season, we have a gorgeous selection of crosses to represent what the season means to you.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. MIX YOUR METALS:
“It's one of the 2020 top jewelry trends. I love stacking different pendants to mix metals, or layering different chains and bracelets to combine both silver and gold.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. ADD A POP OF COLOR
“We have a large selection of natural stone pendants and necklaces that add that perfect pop of color to any neutral outfit. Down in the south, we love our white when the weather turns warmer - and it's the perfect backdrop for any of our pieces! Multicolor stone pieces are a great purchase because they are incredibly versatile! Wear it for a pop of color or to compliment the colors in your outfit.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
5. EMBRACE PIECES WITH MULTICOLOR STONES
“Treat pieces with multicolor stones as a neutral! People are hesitant to buy multicolor pieces because they can't envision how great these pieces look with so many different outfits. Multicolor stone pieces are incredibly versatile! Wear it for a pop of color or to compliment the colors in your outfit - you will be surprised how much you'll wear them!”

Dr. Haley’s Skincare Routine
We recently visited Dr. Heather Haley of Haley Dermatology at home for a closer look into her very own skincare and make up routine. Check out her holy grail products, her favorite perfume she found with another scouted trendsetter and her top over the counter drugstore find.
Tumblr media
SKINCARE
SkinMedica TNS Recovery Complex:
Dr. Haley: “This is what I usually start with at night. It is an anti aging all in one contains growth factors and antioxidants and is a rich serum that leaves my skin feeling tight and smooth after use. Some people like their Essential Serum, but for my oily sensitive skin I prefer this because it has no extra additives. If you have dry skin go for the Essential Serum that has more ingredients to help those issues. I also put the TNS on neck and center of chest, recovery complex and nectafirm on top of it.” Learn More
Key Benefits
Rejuvenates skin
Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
Enhances skin texture and tone
SkinMedica Lytera Pigment Correcting Serum:
Dr. Haley: “I LOVE this for lightening my skin. I use it every night to fight sun damage and brown spots. It is completely safe, non hydroquinone, not harsh or harmful and does a lot for my skin.” Learn More
Key Benefits
Formulated to address the appearance of even the most stubborn skin discoloration, regardless of skin type or genetic makeup

Revision Retinol Complete:
“I personally have sensitive skin and oily skin so when it comes to retinol I use the Revision Retinol Complete. It contains moisturizers and additives making it a little less harsh than the SkinMedica. I still can't even use it more than twice a week. For most though, I would recommend SkinMedica Retinol and to use it every day you skin allows. It does so many wonderful things for your skin. I just can not handle it.”
Key Benefits
Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
Brightens and smooths skin’s texture
Contains time-released Retinol for maximum efficacy with minimal irritation
Boosts skin’s hydration level to help combat the dryness associated with Retinol

Lessens the look of fine lines and wrinkles
Revision D·E·J eye cream:
“This is what I use around my eyes at night. I'm sensitive so I can't use anything around the eyes in the morning or make up will run down my face all day, so I rub my HA5 around my eyes in the morning instead.”

Q & A
Q: Does it matter what order you put your products on?
A: It really doesn't matter. Some say it does, but SkinMedica did a study that if you mixed all your products together in your hand and put them on your face at the same time it would do the same thing. Although I would never advise that.
Q: Which product is your one Holy Grail product you couldn't live without?
A: Definitely the HA5, it has immediate results and it always makes me feel so good.
Tumblr media
Q: What is the most important product every one should be using?
A: Sunscreen, every day.
Q: What do you use for cleansing?
A: Oabaji cleanser and toner. If you use retinol you don't need toner and I would say if you were going to leave anything off it would be toner. Some people just get addicted to that squeaky clean feel though.
Q: What are some of your other favorite products?
A: I love the Clearasonic Brush - if you wash your face with it and then use a toner you will feel so clean
“I always use a vitamin c in the summer. We just started carrying the Skincecuticals C E Ferulic one which people love. You really could use it all year round where we live. It is filled with antioxidants that gives you protection from the sun and brightens complexion.”
“Lastly the black charcoal mask is great for Acne in teens and adults. Its a great refreshing treatment you can do at home.”
Q: What is your favorite drugstore find?
A: CeraVe healing ointment. It is great for all sorts of things: when kids have a bite or sunburned or you have a sore, after acne that you have picked too much. It feels greasy and it scared me that it would break me out but it really doesn't and I love putting it on areas that need some attention before bed.”
Tumblr media
Q: What treatment at the MedSpa would you most likely recommend for healthy clear complexion?
A: Definitely HydraFacials. Either monthly or before a big event. I constantly get thanked by those who have started doing these regularly.
Q: What is this perfume that you use? It smells great!
A: Actually Rosemary Corte, owner of Harvest Jewels,  and I found that while traveling together in Miami and we both loved it. It is called Maison Francis Kurkdjian Paris, Petit Matin
Q: Speaking of Smells, I love your Nest Candle as well. Which fragrance is it?
A: I got that at Living Well in Downtown Fairhope.

MAKE UP
“Tarte’s Shape Tape Concealer and Foundation are my go to every day. They both offer great coverage without feeling heavy.”
“I love La Bella Donna products because they only four ingredients - great for people like me with sensitive skin and people who want clean beauty products. Even without those worries it is just great easy make up.  I use the brow kit every day and it is one of the best ones I have ever used. I love the eye shadow kit for big events when using more make up then usual.”
“I use the RevitaLash mascara because my eyes are too sensitive for Latisse but I would recommend Latisse first. People love it for lash growth and full brows. Use it every day until your lashes reach a length you like, than switch to one or two times a week to keep them there.”
“I love these City Lips because it looks great and stays on.”
