I hate to have to reblog something like this, but this is too important - it’s not a callout to do with fandom drama, this is about an actual crime. Logging onto this blog specifically to share this, as this is where I’ve got the most reach + I know he was active in the pkmn RPC. Hi hello!! Update!! Kind of!!

I do owe a few threads here and on Brandon’s blog - I haven’t forgotten them and I am planning on getting to them, as slow as I may be.

I’m not currently active on Palmer / Brandon! I check my notifications every now and then, but I barely check the dash at all. I’M CURRENTLY ACTIVE ON @15-44 !

It’s very evident to me now that I was indeed just burnt out on Palmer, as I am feeling desire to write him now that I’ve given him a break! My plan is to ease back into activity here sometime in the next few weeks, then divide my attention between my three main muses.

In the meantime, if you miss my brand of irresponsible old men who make bad jokes and have dad vibes, I’m keeping busy with Gavner over on @15-44​ ! He’s got a regular pkmn verse and a PLA verse, and you don’t need to know anything about his source material to interact, so please give him a little peek if he interests you!

I am going to be shifting my focus over to @15-44 for the forseeable future! I’ll still be on here (and on @jaggedpass​), but my desire to write Gavner has been so strong and so consistent over the past while that he gets his own primary blog that I’m going to focus on.

Give him a chance if he interests you! I’ve cut out a ton of stuff to make him friendly to people who have 0 knowledge of his source material - I promise he is going to be very easy to interact with. He can pretty much be treated like an OC, in all honesty.

He will get a pkmn verse - I just need to figure out what I want to do for it! Keep the “died in cdf verse > woke up in pkmn verse” thing, or go with a regular old “pkmn always existed and he was born into pkmn world” route...

The undiagnosed ADHD was very strong in this teenager. Very often in class he would just zone out while staring intently at his textbook, or he would get too distracted by fiddling with his pencil or pen to even realizing that the teacher is talking.

Palmer did manage to stay on top of his homework... but a lot of his assignments were crammed out last-minute.

Was he irresponsible? Yes. Was he the responsible one between him and Byron? Somehow, yes.

He got his driver’s license the moment he was old enough to get it.

He did have a frequent habit of sneaking out in the middle of the night. Sometimes he would just walk around, sometimes he would go annoy Byron.

He was always in need of a haircut.

For once, that incessant sniffing is not the sound of Palmer’s Furfrou signalling his arrival - indeed, that sniffing and sniffling is coming from the Tycoon himself. He’s laying on the floor, and it seems that he has completely given up and accepted his fate on the ground. At least he has a box of tissues.

Seasonal allergies got the best of him.

... I’m ( likely over- ) thinking about the black sheep on my multi, and what to do with him.

So, Gavner. He's the muse that I have the most motivation and desire to write for at the moment.

BUT... I also recognize that he’s very out of place on my multi, being from a completely different series, even if I have thrown him into a PKMN verse. Admittedly, I’m a bit hesitant to try and use him mainly due to the “oh god what if my mutuals think I’m cringe” factor. I’ve kind of been avoiding touching the multi due to that, and debating what I should do with this muse.

( I have... 30 posts in my drafts about this guy - I really want to do things with him, but he just feels so out of place I’m hesitant to post any more of him. )

I could do nothing? Keep him where he is and accept that he’s gonna be a bit out of place at times.

I could move him to his own sideblog, and I’ve strongly considered it a few times - but I’m already having an extremely hard time getting people to follow Brandon or my multimuse as is. I feel like condemning such an obscure character to a sideblog would be the end of him.

I could move him to his own primary, but I don’t want to start over from scratch - it’s a lot of effort to do, and I’ve struggled to manage multiple primaries back when I had Brandon on his own primary...

So, today I found out that ‘strived’ isn’t a word. The past tense of ‘strive’ is ‘strove’ and I hate that.

He had striven for X.

Well... writing daily posts for Palmer for the past 3 months has caused me to get a little bit burnt out on him. To be honest, he’s been my main for nearly two years if we count Discord, so I think this was coming sooner or later.

I’m going to put him on the backburner for a little bit and shift my focus to my sideblogs in the meantime. I’ll try and get some posts out ( + proper promos out ) at some point tonight for those blogs, after I do a bit of cleaning ( making sure my rules and blocklists are up to date, etc )!
