Quote
I no longer believed in the idea of soul mates, or love at first sight. But I was beginning to believe that a very few times in your life, if you were lucky, you might meet someone who was exactly right for you. Not because he was perfect, or because you were, but because your combined flaws were arranged in a way that allowed two separate beings to hinge together.

It sucks without you guys back at the forum! Please come back all of you, please?
I know I left the forum, but honestly… I can’t hold a grudge or stay mad. So I’ll probably return to the SoGong thread, but for now I’ll just return to being a lurker. And from lurking, I see the thread doing quite well so I’m really happy just reading the posts.
As for the others, I can’t tell you if they will return because I don’t know. But we can hope that they just became lurkers like me and will return one day to posting.

SoGong FanFic Cont...
I always wondered who fell for the other first. Was it GHJ or SJS? I came to the conclusion that I probably will never know but I would bet on SJS. Anyways, please enjoy the next chapter of this fanfic...
Love at Second Sight
So Ji Sub gave his scripts to his manager as everyone headed to the luncheon hosted by the production team. Jin Hyuk, the director, approached him and asked him to stay behind. While waiting he noticed that Gong Hyo Jin was surrounded by some cast members and staff. Lee Jong Won, who was going to be playing his Uncle-in-law, came over to him.
“Ji Sub.” Ji Sub got up and bowed before Lee Jong Won wrapped him in a hug. He was a kind sunbae who he had known for quite a while.
“Sunbae, how are you?”
“I’m doing well. I just came over to say hi.” He looked over at Hyo Jin. “She’s quite popular... Ms. Gong Hyo Jin.” Ji Sub looked over at her. She was laughing at something Park Hee-Bon was saying.
“Yes, she has a personality that attracts people.”
“Oh! You two know each other.” Ji Sub shook his head.
“No, I’ve met her before but I wouldn’t say we know each other.”
“Well, I hope you two get along. It’ll make shooting easier. Trust me. It’s horrible doing a drama with someone you can’t stand. I’m heading downstairs. I’ll see you later.” He shook Ji Sub’s hand and left.
Once more, he looked over at his future co-star, who was now talking with Kim Yoo Ri. No matter what Gong Hyo Jin was doing, she always had a smile on her face.
When everyone was finally gone, only Hyo Jin, the Hong Sisters, Jin Hyuk, and himself were left in the room. The director arranged some seats into a circle. As he walked over, he accidentally bumped into Hyo Jin. She lost her balance but was able to steady herself by grabbing his arm.
“Oh sorry.”
“It’s okay.” She said with a smile and he found himself smiling back.
“Have you two met before?” Asked Hong Jung-Eun, the eldest of the Hong Sisters.
“We met at an event a couple of years ago.” He looked over at Gong Hyo Jin and she nodded.
“Yes, I know this oppa well.” Everyone eyed them with curiosity. He turned his head to see her serious expression but then a small laugh escaped from her lips.
“Oppa?” He asked with a grin.
“You want me to call you sunbae?” She giggled and he swore he saw a twinkle in her eyes. Earlier today, he wondered whether they would get along. People change and he didn’t know if she would be the same easy going person he met 4 years ago. However, it seems he worried for nothing.
“No, just call me oppa.” He said without a hesitation, making everyone laugh.
“I think you two will work well together.” Jin Hyuk said as the Hong Sisters shook their heads in agreement.
“We already worked with Ms. Gong Hyo Jin. She’s amazing. We’re so happy she decided to be Tae Gong Shil.” Hyo Jin grabbed Hong Mi-Ra’s hands.
“Unnie, you’re being too kind.”
“No, what she said is truth,” said Hong Jung-Eun. “And Mr. So Ji Sub, we’ve been wanting to work with you for the longest time. It really is an honor.” He felt his face redden but thanked them for the compliment.
“We believe that you two are the only ones who will bring our characters to life and we have complete faith that you both will do us proud.”
After the Hong Sisters gave them their blessing, they left. The director stayed for a while before leaving them alone to get more acquainted. Usually he didn’t like this part of being alone with a female co-star due to the awkwardness.
“Long time no see.” Gong Hyo Jin looked at ease. She sat back in her chair with her long legs crossed and twirling her hair.
“I know.” She looked happy and radiant. He wondered how he looked to her.
“I see you’re still a man of few words.” He took a sip of from his water bottle and chuckled.
“How have you been?” He watched as she thought over his question.
“Me? I guess I’ve been well. Trying to enjoy life one day at a time. How have you been?”
“The same.” An awkward silence took over, the kind that he was accustom to.
“I hope you didn’t get annoyed that I called you oppa.”
“Oh no, don’t worry. I didn’t.” He kept his distance when it came to actresses so he was never once called ‘oppa.’ Yet he always wished to be called that just for what it would mean.
“I’m glad, Oppa.” The dreaded silence took over and he felt his sweat sliding down the temples of his head. He took out his handkerchief and hoped Hyo Jin didn’t notice.
“I usually don’t take summer dramas.” She was toying with the bracelets on her wrist now.
“Really, why is that?”
“I don’t like shooting a drama in the summer but I remembered the promise we made.” Her eyes were now focus on her rings but she looked up at him with her smiling eyes.
“Yes, our pinky promise.” A smile sneaked its way unto his face just as she began giggling.
“I get really embarrassed thinking about it. It sounds childish but I really do think pinky promises are really effective.”
“They must work since we’re now doing a project together.”
“It only took us what? Four years.”
“Just about.” They laughed.
“I hope it’s going to be worth the wait.” He glanced over at her but her face revealed nothing.
“What do you mean?”
“I’m trusting you to make this whole summer fun.” He dropped his head and sighed.
“You’re asking for a lot.” She broke into a fit of giggles that caused him to laugh as well.
“Why Oppa?”
“First off, this is a pretty new genre for me so I’m going to be busy trying to prove myself.”
“You’re with the Queen of Romantic Comedies so don’t worry about it.” She said jokingly and he made sure to let her catch him rolling his eyes.
“That makes me worry more. I’m acting alongside a Queen.” He joked back.
“Oppa, I know you did romantic comedies and dramas before. You’re a really great actor so there’s honestly nothing to worry about.” She must have watched his previous works.
“I think your expectations are really high.”
“And I think you’re selling yourself way too short.” She stared him down as if daring him to respond.
“And if you’re wrong?” Her face scrunched up as she thought over his question before revealing a smile.
“Then you’ll owe me a summer vacation.” He laughed at her witty answer. They didn’t notice someone had shown up at the door.
“Are you two planning to come downstairs any time soon?” It was the director, Jin Hyuk. They quickly started gathering their things.
“Sorry. We lost track of time.” Hyo Jin said as she walked towards the door.
“I hope I didn’t interrupt any important discussion about your characters or method of acting. You were talking about that, right?” She looked back to him and it was like they read each other’s mind.
“Yeah.” She said.
“Definitely.” He told the director as he walked over to them. While walking to the luncheon, he stole a glance of Hyo Jin and wasn’t at all surprised to find her smiling. He usually was nervous every time he started a new drama but this time, he only felt excitement.
A few days later, Ji Sub arrived on the set of the drama’s poster shooting. He had his new character’s hairstyle and his face was freshly shaven. He noticed some of the women staring at him with hungry eyes and felt a slight discomfort. Someone gasped and he heard the sound of her voice.
“Oppa, you look so different!” He turned around and saw Gong Hyo Jin looking at him with a shocked expression.
“What? Do you not like it?” He teased.
She rolled her eyes before saying, “Of course I like it.” He enjoyed how he could joke around with her and not worry that she would take it the wrong way. He would have stayed to talk more but they both got rushed into wardrobe then hair and make-up. As she left, she waved bye and made a face as if she didn’t want to go.
“See you later!” She said before being hauled off by the stylists.
When he finally appeared in front of the camera, he was dressed in an all-white suit. He noticed that SBS had send some VJs. He didn’t mind because it came with the job but it always made him feel more cautious about the way he acted.
Gong Hyo Jin came out a few minutes later covered in white lace. She approached him and stood next to him.
“You look...nice.” She looked like a bride. All that was missing was a veil and a bouquet.
“Thank you. You look quite nice yourself.”  They got surrounded by stylists and make-up artists for final touchups. Then the photographer came over to inform them on how they should pose.
“Hyo Jin, place your arms around his neck but face the camera.” Without hesitation, she placed her arms around him. That was another thing he liked. She was comfortable with him. He knew she would not confuse their actions for something romantic and it made it easier for him to work with her.
“Ji Sub, just stand still and look over there.” After feeling satisfied with their pose, he left and began taking the photos.
“Hyo Jin, lower your right hand a little. Ji Sub, stare with a cold gaze as if you don’t care that this beautiful woman is hanging on you.” He felt Hyo Jin suppress a giggle. This woman also laughed at everything. Whether it was something funny or not. He discovered at the luncheon that her unique giggles were contagious. Every time she laughed, he would always follow with his own. However, this time, she was able to hold it in as the photographer continue giving directions.
A few poses later, he was back-hugging her.
“Ji Sub, place your hands over hers.” He did as he was told and as the pictures were being taken, he notice how warm her hands were. Her skin was soft and her fingers were slim. Both his hands perfectly covered hers. In fact, she fit perfectly against him.
“Get a little closer.” She leaned her body back and he caught the scent of her hair, it smell like a certain flower. It was a familiar smell but he couldn’t remember where he recognized it from. Hyo Jin dropped her hands and caused him to snapped out of his thoughts.
“Oppa, lets see how we came out.” She grabbed his arm and led him towards the computer. As Hyo Jin began talking about certain poses with the photographer, he looked at his own face and it appeared to be in deep concentration.
“You two came out looking like a real couple.” Someone mentioned. Her unique giggle came out and he couldn’t help but laugh as well.
“We are.” His words made everyone stopped what they were doing. They looked at Hyo Jin, who calmly looked back at him.  “Joo Joong Won and Tae Gong Shil.” He explained and smirked while Hyo Jin tried her best not to smile.
“You were all about to freak out right!” She told them.
The rest of the day went by smoothly. With each new concept, So Ji Sub found himself having fun and speaking freely with his leading lady. They talked between takes but become serious professionals when the photos were being taken. When it was done and he was free to go, he dressed back into his sweats and headed to the parking lot. He found Hyo Jin, standing near her manager.
“What are you doing?”
“The van is too hot.” He noticed that her face was a little red.
“You really don’t like the heat.” She was using a magazine to fan herself.
“There is a reason why I don’t take on summer dramas.”
“Why?”
“The heat irritates me and I turn into a diva.” He waited for her to tell him it was a joke, but it seems she was being serious. The manager beside her just shook his head.
“Yet you decided to do a summer drama.” Her serious expression disappeared.
“I have my reasons.”
As he was being driven home, he watched the stores pass by him until the car stopped at a light. Summer was being promoted in each store window. However, what caught his eye was a sale on fans. He thought back to Hyo Jin and how much she dislike the heat. Maybe he should get her one but as the car began moving, he figured that she probably had her own fan.

Tidings from TYA
In case anyone was wondering, I will be continuing the SoGong Fanfic. I don't know what happened between Gong Hyo Jin and So Ji Sub, but I think it was a beautiful love story. And even though it's not official, I know they are dating because have you seen the BTSs and interviews!!!! Isn't it so obvious that they are soul mates!!!
Anyways, I'm starting this as a way to improve my creative writing skills so please feel free to send me anything that can help my writing whether its about grammar mistakes or how I can make something sound better. Remember, there is a difference between hate and constructive criticism! If you send me hate, I'll just ignore it so please don't waste your time. Thank you!

SoGong Fanfic
I kept wondering what happened in NYC when GHJ and SJS first met... I decided to just write my theory in the form of a fanfic.
And The Story Begins by The Yellow Amaryllis
Gong Hyo Jin arrived at the SBS building for her upcoming drama’s script reading but wished she could turn around to go back home. She was exhausted and not in the mood. It was all Kim Na Young’s fault. Her friend had persuaded her to party hard since she wouldn’t be able to for a while. She yawned as she looked at the clock, 9:35 AM. She still had a few minutes before she had to head inside. A dark figure appeared on her line of vision and caught her attention. She settled her eyes on a tall man walking across the parking lot and knew exactly who he was... So Ji Sub.
She knew by the way he walked and the confidence he carried. There was more to him than meets the eye. She watched as he walked past some fans and photographers than entered the building and disappeared from sight.
She would be lying to herself if she said that she didn’t take the role after hearing of his involvement. They had only met twice but each time she was always left wanting more. More of what? She didn’t know. The first time they met it was in New York, where they were both receiving an award. They barely spoke at the ceremony. In actuality, it wasn’t until the last night of their hotel stay that they had a chance to talk.
*2009, New York City*
That night, Ryu Seung Bum wasn’t answering his call. It’s been a year since they decided to start over and it was currently looking like “starting over” was a big mistake. After leaving a bunch of voicemails, she headed downstairs to the hotel’s bar. Upset, she took a seat and asked the bartender for a glass of water. It took a while for her to notice a man in a black hoodie sitting at the end of the bar reading the drink menu. It took another minute for her to realize it was So Ji Sub dressed as if he was trying to blend in with the walls.
Maybe it was the fact that he was another Korean in this foreign place or that she felt down because of her boyfriend but she just wanted some company. So she got up and walk over to him.
“What are you doing?” He practically jumped in his seat at the sound of her voice.
“You scared me.” She giggled and apologized before repeating her question. He pointed at the drinks’ menu. From his facial expression, he either had trouble deciding what to order or didn’t know how to read English.
“What do you want? I’ll order for you.”
“It’s okay.” It seem to her that he was the type that didn’t like to ask for help.
“You really are a man of few words, Mr. So Ji Sub.” He remained impassive but she did see a shadow of a smile. Maybe it was best to help him out without him finding out.
“I wish I could try each drink without getting drunk—” She then proceeded to describe each drink on the menu, acting as if she was truly interested in each. She signaled the bartender to come over.
“I think I’ll just go for the Sunset cocktail. What about you?” He pointed to the third item on the menu. The bartender nodded and left to prepare the drinks.
“You’re really good in English. Where did you learn?”
“When I lived in Australia. I’m not so good at speaking but I can write and understand English very well.” He just nodded and looked at the bartender who was preparing the drinks in front of them. It was like watching a magic show of liquids so when he presented them with their drinks, she clapped loudly.
“Wow, that was cool.” The bartender blushed and said thanks before heading to another client. She looked back at So Ji Sub to find him staring at her curiously. It was only for a millisecond before focusing on the drink in front of him.
“So did you go see the Statue of Liberty?” He may be comfortable with silent but she wasn’t.
“Yes.”
“What did you do there?”
“Took pictures, looked around, learned about it.” She tried to analyze his expression to see if he was annoyed by her but he just seem indifferent.
“That’s cool. I don’t really like crowded places.” He smiled and agreed.
“It was packed but nobody recognized me so it was comforting.” She was about to tell him how much she loved being able to walk around without the hint of people following her, but he spoke first.
“What did you do?”
“Well, I have a friend who just moved here so he came to visit me early in the morning. We went rock wall climbing cause I never did it before. Afterwards, we went to the city for lunch in this amazing Italian restaurant and visit a museum where they had an exhibition of this incredible artist. Then he had to leave so I decided to do some shopping by myself and now I’m here.” She giggled and looked over at him watching her with an amazed expression.
“You make the most out of your day, don’t you.”
“Of course, everyone should.” He chuckled but shook his head in agreement. She took another sip from her drink.
“This cocktail is really good.”
“You didn’t have dinner yet?”
"Are you asking me out, Mr. So Ji Sub.” He choked on his drink and she patted his back. “Omo, I was just joking. The answer is no, I haven’t had dinner yet.” She laughed and relaxed when he laughed as well.
“I was just going to suggest grabbing something to eat so you don’t get drunk from the alcohol.”
“Oh, I had planned to order room service and eat while chatting with my boyfriend but he apparently doesn’t pick up his calls. Also, I have a high tolerance for alcohol but you’re right, I should eat.” Mentioning Seung Bum just brought back the sad feelings and wiped the smile from her face.
“I’ll buy you dinner.” She looked at him in shock and tried to find a hidden motive in his eyes. However, he looked like he genially wanted to buy her dinner.
“I feel like you’re only asking me because you can’t order in English.” He instantly roared with laughter which made her smile.
“Maybe.”
“Not maybe, definitely.”
They ended up going to the hotel’s restaurant. As expected, Hyo Jin ordered for both Ji Sub and herself. Their conversation was nice. He was an interesting person in her eyes. She was surprised to find that he was the exact opposite of his reputation. For some reason, she assumed that he was a bad boy. He certainly had that image but in reality he was a true gentleman. Someone who was shy and awkward. He also had a sense of humor that wasn’t really that funny to anyone but her. By the end of the dinner, she had decided that he was one of the few good people in this messed up entertainment industry. He was a real gem and she would love to have him as a friend.
“Dinner with you was really fun. I enjoyed it.” She told him as they exited the restaurant. They were walking pass the lobby when she saw the back of a familiar man.
“Seung Bum?” The man turned around and it was indeed her boyfriend dressed as a hobo. He came instantly to where she was with So Ji Sub and hugged her.
“What are you doing here?” She asked him before if he had wanted to come to New York with her and he had told her that he couldn’t.
“Trying to surprise you. Why didn’t you answer your phone?”
“Why didn’t you! And I didn’t hear my phone?” She searched for her cell but realize she didn’t even have it. “Actually I think I left it in my room.”
“Getting from the airport to here was one hassle but then I didn’t know how to explain to the lady over there that I was your boyfriend. You know I’m really bad at speaking English.” She rolled her eyes but couldn’t hide the smile lurking on her face. She was touched that he would try to surprise her. She hugged him before noticing So Ji Sub, awkwardly standing next to her.
“Oh, Mr. So Ji Sub. This is Ryu Seung Bum, my boyfriend.” They greeted each other. “Chagiya, this is Mr. So Ji Sub. He kept me company.”
“I hope she didn’t talk your ear off.” Hyo Jin slapped Seung Bum’s arm while So Ji Sub smiled.
“No, in fact, she was really fun to hang out with. I think it’s best if I leave you two alone.” He did a separate bow to both of them before saying good night and heading towards the elevators.
The next morning, Seung Bum and her were waiting for their breakfast at the restaurant and So Ji Sub came in. Seung Bum signaled him over, acting as if they were long-time friends. When, in fact, they had only greeted each other yesterday.
“Seung Bum, he’s not your hyung but a sunbae so be respectful.” So Ji Sub came with a smile. She smiled back.
“Join us for breakfast. We just ordered.” He pulled out a chair before leading Ji Sub into the chair. She didn’t know whether to feel embarrassed from her boyfriend’s actions or laugh at Ji Sub’s confused facial expressions.
“I’m sorry. My boyfriend is weird.”
“I’m not weird. I just think the more, the merrier.” He called the waiter over and Gong Hyo Jin had to act like the translator again. “Once again, Chagiya save the day with her English.”
“I know, I feel like Superwoman. Ready to go back to Korea, Mr. So Ji Sub?”
“Yes, I’ll be happy to be somewhere where I can order a coffee without sounding like a fool.”
“Until you start missing the freedom of being able to walk around free as a bird.”
“True, are you looking forward to returning?”
“Actually we’re going to Paris for a week.” She blushed because she felt like she was admitting a secret. Her woman’s intuition told her that Seung Bum was going to propose there and she just couldn’t wait. So Ji Sub just looked at her and smile.
“Every couple deserves a romantic getaway.”
When breakfast was done, the three of them headed towards the hotel lobby. She saw that So Ji Sub’s manager was there with all their luggage.
“You’re checking out now!”
“Yes, my flight leaves in three hours so I’m leaving now.” He bowed respectfully before turning to leave.
“Wait. Promise that you’ll do a project with me one day.” So Ji Sub looked confused for a second but grinned and nodded.
“Okay, I promise.”
“Pinky promise?” She stuck out her pinky even as she heard her boyfriend laughed at her childish behavior. It looked like So Ji Sub was going to say no to her request but he stuck out his pinky and wrapped it around hers.
“Pinky promise.”
*Present Day*
She didn’t even remember the promise until the Hong Sisters told her who they wanted as the leading man. She immediately agreed to the role of Tae Gong Shil because of him. Once it was official that they would do the project together, she felt excited. She didn’t like taking summer projects but the drama seemed fun and had an interesting leading man.
She invited him to her movie premiere and hoped they could talk after the whole event. However, when she found herself free, he was nowhere to be found. She asked the person in charge of the guest list if he had come and was told that he did. Confused, she guessed that he probably had things to do and couldn’t stay around.
So now she was walking to the script reading, wondering how to introduce herself to him. Are they strangers or old friends? Would he even remember her? The promise they made? Once inside the room, she bowed politely to everyone. She was probably the last person to arrive because they began once she took her seat. She didn’t even realize that So Ji Sub was sitting directly in front of her till the introductions started. He got up and said who he was. His voice was low but it commanded attention. Especially hers. She wondered if his voice was always like that? As he took his seat, he looked at her in the eyes and smiled. For the first time, she felt self-conscious and wondered if she looked okay. She smiled back before taking a sip from her thermal bottle. Hopefully, someone would turn on the air conditioner because the room suddenly got stuffy.
