Hi! When is your spring break over? Im not an American or a university student yet so I am a little unsure what date that is 😅

In FMN, if Cregan were to appear in Jace's life again, would Aegon have a chance with Jace? How would they feel or how would they deal with this?

Aegon would still have a chance without a doubt. However the big issue with Jacegan’s reunion would be handling his own jealousy and insecurity at seeing Jace fill the third space in his and Baela’s trio with someone they’ve both known intimately in the past.

I think its clear Aegon is an insecure man for various reasons, and so having someone like Cregan who most would agree is one of few men who deserves rights brings those insecurities out front stage and center. Even worsening them to a degree. Cregan is the opposite of them man Aegon used to be in every way; mature, selfless, uncaring about Jace’s probable bastardy, and the list goes on. Seeing those two together crumbles Aegon’s hard worked for confidence badly enough to actually effect the semi-friendship/clueless flirtation they have going on. Not because Jace expresses that he wants it to stop, but that he’d feel Jace made the obvious better choice and back down.

If anything, Jace would have to be the one to bring them back on track. This means realizing why he misses Aegon’s overbearing presence and coming to accept he feels more for his uncle rather than festering in denial. However, being so caught up in rehashing his love with Cregan means he’s completely oblivious to Aegon’s sudden change in attitude towards him until its a bit too late and Aegon sees Jace’s lack of acknowledgment to his distance as being let down nicely.

In turn this would be a journey of them learning to actually use their words. Aegon explaining that deep down he’s always just wanted to be seen and Jace letting him know his love for Cregan doesn’t mean there’s nothing left to share.

Has anyone tried to make a series or movie about the dance of dragons?

There are a lot of movies about that time period but they mostly focus on the story of certain characters rather than the dance from everyone’s perspective as a complete whole. There have been numerous projects with a similar vibe to HOTD but they’ve never actually made it past writers rooms and onto viewers screens.

Most media retelling the dance rather than the characters separate stories are documentaries/ docuseries that have those really vivid retellings with a low budget but still somehow managing to be entertaining and better than a lot or networks could make happen. Think BBC vibes.

Okay okay, I’m getting more excited for the idea that Jace and Cregan reunite in FMN. Please please tell me how their first interaction will be, will it be when the family is out together and suddenly everything goes slo mo for Jace when he catches a glimpse of Cregan in a pub or in a crowd. Please 🙏 let it be true

I don’t want to give away too many big spoilers but Jacegan may or may not reunite in an extremely surprising environment during a Jace POV chapter when things between everyone are still tense and Jace needs that support Cregan’s always been able to provide him.

Honestly, Cregan’s presence would help out a lot in terms of mediation between everyone. Dude is more emotionally mature than half the main cast.

So, based off of that really good descriptive scene (probably one of my favorites by the way) of when Aemond got a flashback of killing Luke when he watched Pinocchio get eaten by the whale, did the family resolve to have the movie banned for the time being? And if so, what other things have been placed on the banned list for the family so as not to trigger any ptsd flashbacks? And if you’d like to elaborate, I’d love to hear more about why you chose to use that movie scene in particular.

Pinocchio was actually on the “no watch list” for a whiilee. Now that he’s older Aemond has no problem with it despite that twinge of slight discomfort still being present, but after that particular event the adults refused to make room for another incident so they refuse to take risks. I myself chose Pinocchio for a few reasons; one being that I feel Pinocchio and Luke are one in the same, young boys who want nothing more than to prove themselves and set off to accomplish said goal. For Pinocchio he wants to become a real boy while Luke wants to show he’s just as much of a real Targ as the rest of his family, that he can stand beside Jace rather than tucked behind him. That he won’t cower while so much is on the line.

The parallels in both the whale scene and Luke’s death hit close to home in my opinion, mirroring each other in a way so to speak. One depicts an idealistic child-like pov of something such as being swallowed whole by an overwhelming creature that would otherwise end in a gruesome death, while the other (Luke) actually experiences said death, remembers what it feels like to be eaten alive and everything. These events are so similar yet couldn’t be more different. Young Aemond saw a boy being devoured and his mind took him back to one of his biggest regrets. It didn’t matter that Pinocchio ended up just fine because Luke didn’t. Even though Aemond was a child he’d already been born knowing how untruthful Disney fairytales were.

Okay, so there is actually a crap ton of media thats been banned in the home for one reason or another. Either that be because the sight of arrows makes Jace so uncomfortable that he can feel them piercing his skin again, or the sight of fire bringing Egg back to the very moment Rhaenyra was murdered in front of him.

mass disease in film is a no no because it reminds Alicent of her own death. And really anything having to do with infant/child death for Helaena sake.

Sexual assault in media is a theme they tend to stray away from and don’t take likely. Harwin will happily spoil a movie for himself if it means not running into any SA scenes since Alicent and Helaena have experienced martial rape and Aegon has been a perpetrator himself. Once Luke’s own history comes to light this rule will be even stricter without question.

A few movies that have been barred from being viewed in their homes are as follows.

1. Promising young woman - Alicent thought she’d be able to handle it but couldn’t stomach it despite its message.

2. The lovely bones - Hits too close to home for the parents. Though their children were kidnapped they still know what it feels like to wake up one day with your child by your side and go to sleep without them the next

3. Grave of fireflies - This one puts a perspective on the outcome of war from everyday civilians pov and its filled the room with guilt.

4. Gladiator - this one Jace watched while at a friend’s house and was actually excited, but he soon realized he just couldn’t handle the battle scenes.

5. Orphan - Egg watched this on his own and enjoyed it up until the scene where the treehouse is burned down.

I always picture a scene in FMN where The whole entire family has a movie night, Aemond and Luke are spooning on the couch and Aemond keeps laying kisses on Luke’s head and shoulders and cheeks. Well let’s say they are very touch feels, with Luke holding Aemond’s hand in his and kissing his knuckles, and giggling cause Aemond is cuddling and tickling him at every chance. And the whole family is overtly uncomfortable cause it’s turning into more than pg-13 and those two love birds are oblivious. Daemon and Corlys are at the point of getting up and dragging Aemond away. Rhaenyra wants to burst out crying cause her baby is grown up and yet still her baby. Jace wants to combust. The twins are covering each others eyes. Helena is taking snap shots cause she thinks it’s the cutest thing ever. Alicent is consoling Rhaenyra. All the while Aemond and Luke are clueless like always. Young Aegon later tells them… “I think you guys should stay in your room next time.”

Lmaooo. FMN Lucemond already have such a big problem with limiting PDA at the most inappropriate times that this scenario is basically a canon event just waiting to happen. The best part is that Daemon getting upset only makes him the biggest hypocrite in Westeros considering all the shit he’s done with Rhaenyra and Laena (and Harwin) without a care in the world of who was watching.

Currently imagining these two still fooling around even after the entire family dispersed early cause things were getting a lil too graphic and neither notice until Egg throws a bunch of pillow at them. Now Luke is lowkey embarrassed and Aemond refuses to believe they’re that bad and the fam is just overreacting.

Safe to say movie nights now have assigned seating.

did anyone notice that HBO is releasing HOT S2 on .... a son for a son....Daemon....avenging Luke. I think Luke is actually Daemon's son. Daemon was on that shit before that raven even came with the news of Luke's death. I see you HBO.

Daemon is the father that stepped up and we need to talk about that even more than we already do. The fact that he accepted those boys off rip and made sure to be in their corner during the Driftmark situation. He helped raise them, knew they’d be good husbands to his daughters, and didn’t hesitate to get his lick back after Luke’s death.

In conclusion Daemon fathered so hard that he ended up mothering and HBO knew that.

what's going to happen when Rhae finally sits the throne and they all tell Delulumond the truth about Vivi tho? :O I fear Riverlands will burn in every au there's no escaping from that.

By the time the truth comes out Vivi is in his early teens since Viserys somehow managed to hold onto life by a single hair strand for a while longer and truly sees Aemond as a second father rather than an uncle they’re supposed to be keeping on a leash. Vivi has grown so sweetly attached and by proxy ended up stopping the process of Aemond delving even deeper into the hole of toxic masculinity and hatred for Rhaenyra that would’ve sent him spiraling a decade ago. That and the fact that he and Luke end up getting married kept the Riverlands safe from Vhagar when the truth eventually came about.

And the funny thing is, Aemond realized Vivi wasn’t actually his kid years before when Luke gave him the proper sex talk (something he wasn’t supposed to do) cause he couldn’t stand to watch his fiancee being to utterly clueless about such a big part of life. Aemond put two and two together quite quickly and felt a hint of betrayal but not because tricking him into thinking he left his nephew a single father to a bastard for a few years was a heartless thing to do. No, Aemond saw and respected his sister and uncles plan too much to be that mad. His anger really came from the idea of being taken advantage of due to his embarrassing ignorance by the people he’d actually come to know and respect to a certain degree over the years. He still sees vivi as his, still wants to teach him and show his two favorite boys the world while on dragonback.

For a while he went a bit cold with Luke in attempts to see how deep his love went. After all, was their relationship all for show? Even what they shared privately as a family with their “son”. But soon enough he came to see Luke truly loved being a family just as much as he did and frustration soon fizzled into acceptance. Wondering when/if someone would ever actually tell him the truth up front.

Its a funny affair the night Viserys croaks. Luke is so overwhelmed at the idea of losing Aemond’s love and cant hold it in anymore. Poor thing ends up singing like a canary while they’re getting ready for bed the night before Viserys funeral which Aemond takes as his one moment to channel his inner theatre kid and put on a PERFORMANCE just to make his husband feel bad before insisting they kiss and make up.

Luke crying real tears: a- and then Jace said it would be easy to trick you cause you’ve always been so much dumber than you realize 😓

Aemond : YOU CAN STOP NOW. I SAID I FORGIVE YOU!!!

FMN chapters 37 and 38 focus on Jace and Joff separately, how their relationship with eachother has grown and evolved, being brothers to Luke, and of course feelings about papa Harwin. There are other character cameos of course, but it’s really just about their grief and trying to come to terms with everything.

You know what makes this whole fiasco even better? Aemond genuinely thinking his little peck on the lips with Luke actually resulted in a pregnancy all thanks to the crappy sex education provided by the faith. Poor guy grew up being told holding hands spreads the clap and kissing makes babies and hasn’t come to realize none of its true yet.

Luke kinda feels bad about lying cause his uncle is so upset he supposedly missed his son’s first few years but he’s enjoying Aemond’s adorable newfound love for fatherhood and attempts at proper courtship too much to ruin it all now. Plus his mom and Daemon are making sure they can keep up this act until Rhaenyra is seated on the throne.

For me personally, Luke for sure sees Aemond (and really all of his nieces and nephews) as his own, but takes a special liking to this dragonless boy who’s so obviously lonely and needs proper guidance that doesn’t come in the form of shitty alphas pushing that gender hierarchy crap. And unlike the other adults present on both sides Luke wouldn’t take that bullying shit lightly which only fuels Aemond’s crush. Now fast forward 10 years after Luke comes back from exile after refusing to marry, Aemond’s goals have changed dramatically if you know what I mean.

Well you’ll be happy to hear that I wrote a lil drabble about older omega Luke quite a while ago since i’m an absolute sucker for that troupe and it’s still sitting in my drafts collecting dust. At first I thought it would remain there but maybe i’ll post it after all 👀. Needs some editing tho.

The drabble actually lays a lot of groundwork for a potential lengthy oneshot since it’s very backstory heavy considering Luke is Alyssa and Baelon’s son rather than great grandson and thats a whole section of new lore on its own.
