One could argue that drinks were not something that paired well with a creature like a hellhound, given the fact that alcohol was seen as an accelerant to fire, but Chess had been alive long enough to know how to handle himself around alcohol. Not to mention the fact that he had quite the tolerance, so it wasn't like a shot or two was going to make him completely under the influence.

Ten drinks, though? Well, he would start to feel tipsy... And he's found himself five shots and seven drinks in for the evening, holding another glass in his hands as he made his way through the crowd of dancing bodies. With as much alcohol in his system, his balance wasn't the best and he found himself stumbling into another person and getting some of his drink on them.

"Oh, damn... sorry!" Chess apologized, cheeks flushed from the alcohol as he looked down at him. Quickly using the napkin in his hand to try and dry some of the drink off of the person he had bumped into. While he wasn't completely sloshed, it was certainly evident that he wasn't sober either. "Guess that should be my queue to stop drinking, huh?"

Having to hide who you were was one of those things that Bodhi didn't like about being a vampire, and it was one of the things that he had come to Alexandria to avoid. But having to hide who he was, when he was pretty proud of the person that he was, was not something he quite appreciated. Still, he was a member of the community and he wanted to take this as a chance to meet new people he may not have met - the one good thing the anonymity gave was him a chance to speak to people that wouldn't want to speak to him because he was a vampire - so when he saw someone standing by themselves, he couldn't help but walk over.

"I'll be honest, I'm not really a fan of the fact that these masks hide who we are. We are who we are, and we need to learn to accept that... faults and all..." he admitted to the stranger. "But I suppose it does give us a chance to meet new people, right? Are you enjoying your night? Can I get you a drink or anything?"

Truthfully, the witch felt on edge. He knew he shouldn't, given the fact that he wasn't sure who he could consider a friend or a foe, but he had to dial back. While part of himself wanted to keep a small current of electricity running over his skin so that anyone that dared try to touch him without his consent would be shocked, he also knew that sometimes accidents happen. Still, Xavier kept himself on high alert as he made his way to the concessions table, looking over the variety of food and drink before he shifted his glance to the guy next to him.

"So, you know what's good to eat here?"

Anonymity is not something that Raphael was unaccustomed to. The Djinn had used anonymity throughout his life to swindle the mortals and con them out of their money, alongside his powers of hallucination that is, so to know that the masks that they wore at the ball was allowing themselves to remain inconspicuous and hidden from others. He knew that this would grant the people of Alexandria and the Chateau two things - a chance to use this to hook up with strangers, unaware of who it was that they were sleeping with... or a chance to use this as an opportunity to cause chaos and reap the benefits of everyone being confused.

"Tell me," he spoke as he approached the other one, a glass of red wine in his hands as he glanced over at him. "What are your thoughts about being anonymous this evening? Do you plan to take advantage of it?"
