Bitter Rock, Alaska, 1897.
The photograph owner claims it was taken by a Russian sailor prior to his disappearance. It appears to be the being known as "the six-wing" and matches descriptions of reported sightings prior to the mass disappearances of 1943, 1973 and 2003.

To the dirt i go, will you follow me?
into the dark of the other side,
i wander, and wonder
what made us like this?
we crawl and scramble our way to the other side,
like a race for who can get there the fastest,
but what is the point?
why not wait a little and enjoy the time we have here?
Time will wait, it does not race either,
although it seems slow,
it somehow makes it there before anyone will
So why not wait here?
with me?
In the dirt and the trees
i will wait as long as you want
like time,
i have no desire to race,
and i’ll always make it

When seeing an empty parking lot, lit by a single street lamp, outside of an abandoned K-Mart or Blockbuster, a person who has often felt like they don’t ‘belong’ in a world full of people may feel the most at home. When wandering into a thrift shop, a person may find that special item from their childhood, the one that glows just a little brighter than everything else in the store and gives them the feeling of tv static on their finger tips.
These are vague and strange feelings, but they make sense when you’ve often found yourself sinking into another daydream on a long train ride late at night or in a green field, on a late summer afternoon.
When a person longs for the embrace of solitude in order to release themselves from the constant performance that is being an ‘everyday person,’ liminal spaces are a genuine relief. There’s no one there except the ghosts of bygone eras to witness you shed the weight of the world off your shoulders, even if it’s for a short time.
You can peel off the anxiety and social awkwardness and just. be.

The Happy99 worm, also known as Ska or i-Worm, was a worm for Windows, appearing in 1999. The worm would display a gif of exploding fireworks in a window titled “Happy New Year 1999!″. This was the first worm known to spread via e-mail and usenet. Other than attaching itself to the user’s computer, this worm did no damage.

“I spend too much time thinking about things that aren’t now, things that have not yet been. I have become a master in the art of cultivating false realities in my mind in an effort to distract me from the now. The problem is that my heart is ready to give all that it has in a single beat. I am human, and I so desire to be loved, and give love, with every fiber of my being. I romanticize about fictional occurrences so much that I am devastated when I am snapped back into reality. The reality here is that, as much as I wish I didn’t, I still feel lonely and unhappy. I am afraid of love, but yet, I desire it every day.”
