Hello, I really dont want to anger you, just wanted to ask about Danna? I really liked her, though I don't speak spanish and I was quite brokenhearted when she got cancelled left and right especially considering how people are fine after worse things. I was very scared to support her because multiple mutuals were mad I still reblogged her gifs. I am also super triggered by in**st so I didn't dare to look myself. Sorry for bothering!!

people decided to cancel her because some fool decided to post one no context screenshot of a comment she made on insta and as per usual, the rpc just ran with it because just like most on the people on social media, they blindly believe stuff people tell them and don’t bother looking into stuff unless it is to defend people like christopher evans and save them from the unapologetic and evil claws of internet cancelation

danna is an grooming and abuse survivor who has been severely harassed by the media who want to force her to relieve her trauma for the sole purpose of their morbid curiosity and need to monetize women’s trauma and since she doesn’t wanna share her trauma with the world, a lot of latin media has ‘frozen’ her and only talks about her or features her in (particularly) mexican media to drag her for her supposed disservice to women. and then add to it internet idiots un the virtue signaling olympics spreading nonsense so you got a winning combo. 

and, what people don’t know is that she has spoken multiple times about how wrong what lu and the other dude did, how she and jorge gave multiple interviews talking about it, clearly not supporting it but people aren’t gonna tell you that because standing up for brown women doesn’t get you notes. 

please don’t be scared of supporting her. she is genuinely a hardworking person that has been in the industry since she was a very young child and had a lot of people take advantage of her and now that she is famous outside of mexico, some people think they ‘own’ her and they’re the ones behind her success when in reality she had to seek work outside of mexico after people continuously dragged her because she didn’t want to give her soundbites about what her ex did to her and because the people that were supposed to take care of her happily allowed the grooming that happened to her because it gave their telenovela views were the same people that blackballed her. her landing the role in elite was no coincidence.
