She's tripped and hit the ground a few times in her life, and usually it happens when she's trying to impress someone and not look like an utter fool. Goth boots come at a cost, often coordination.

Probably pushing through schooling in the old world and becoming a licensed therapist. She figured she wouldn't make it that far without giving up, but she did.

Valerie was once someone especially kind and considerate, but after finding the Beach and joining up with the militants, that changed pretty quickly. She's willing to do whatever it takes to survive, even if it means taking others out to achieve that. She understands human nature well and how to play onto people's hearts and minds to win.
