My Yutamaki headcanon
Yuuta Okkotsu - an alpha and a genius spellcaster. Eight years ago, while struggling in poverty and suffering because he was always haunted by a cursed spirit named Rika (his ex-lover) and did not understand that it was he who cursed her. Gojo Satoru (the strongest spellcaster at that time) offered to help him and purify Rika, and revealed his true identity (a cousin). Yuuta was adopted and sent to study abroad to develop his purification skills. Until one day they met again in Manchuria when Gojo suggested to Yuuta that it was time to get married.
Maki Zenin, young lady of the Zenin family and omega. A tool for political marriages - nothing more, nothing less. A woman always desires to express herself as a strong person, desires mastery and self-affirmation. However, after Mai (her twin) was raped by Zenin Naoya and disguised as a mysterious death. She swore on the name of revenge and overthrow of her family. To do that, Maki came to Satoru - begging to become a concubine and willing to bring all the dangerous weaknesses of the Zenin family to their number one enemy - the Gojo family. In exchange, Gojo must destroy everything that ever existed belonging to the Zenin family. (Destroy everything).
With a vow to his lost lover - Suguru, Satoru cannot agree to Maki's request. Instead, he sent this request to Okkotsu Yuuta.

In Jujutsu Kaisen main characters are set up not as rivals, but as complementary pairs. Satoru and Suguru are not rivals, they are a pair who complements the strength and weaknesses of each other because they are different and are therefore stronger together than apart. The same for their parallels in Yuji and Megumi. Yuji’s desire to save everyone is only enhanced by Megumi’s belief that it’s more prudent to choose who you save. This meta will set up Maki and Yuta as the third set of complementary pairs, where each character represents an opposite value. Maki represents independence, and Yuta represents depending on your friends around you or codependence. Each character as well demonstrates the strength and weaknesses of each value.
