Ever since Derreth has found out about her friend Sean's ability to turn into an electro crystal fly using his vision she has grown quite friendly with the little creatures often making sure to greet and try to talk to the little flying balls of electricity in hopes that one of them is her dear friend.

One day Derreth was walking to the infamous inazuma city to have breakfast she walked past a few electro crystal flies, making sure to say good morning to each one of them.

"Good morning Ryuji!" She knew Sean hated being called that but she loved messing with her best friend.

Little did she know the guy she was talking about was right behind her. Sean had long gotten tired of Derreth thinking every crystal fly on teyvat is him so he decided to pull a little "harmless" prank on her.

I mean she isn't the only one allowed to have fun, he also has to get that out of his system every once in a while right?

He silently used his vision to turn into a crystal fly without her seeing him.

Then he swiftly joined the little group of crystal flies and got closer to Derreth, landing on her nose which caught her by surprise.

"Oh hello little guy!" A shock of electricity "OW!"

It was now Sean's queue to reveal himself to her. With a spark of electro he went back to his human form, a sinister chuckle escaped his lips as he faced the now scared Derreth...

"Do you REALLY approach every crystal flies you see?"

"Maybe now you'll think twice before doing so~"

Yeah its because of Maru's past job fields (as a bar stage performer and a prostitute) she seeks for genuine male attention and she thinks Norton can give her that and completely turns a blind eye to all of the red flags...

And trust me this is one of the least fucked up relationships that in Identity V (yeah there are worse canon and non canon ships)

And a note I don't condone minors dating adults

Wanna hear something that will make everything about Norton and Maru's (my oc's) relationship extremely disgusting?

Maru is a teenager like 16-17 and Norton is a 28 year old man... I know that's gross and completely illegal but come on this is the nineteenth century ;-;

So basically during like the main ashes of memory story chapt 2 when Norton first comes to the manor Maru was already there. When she first saw Norton she started feeling something in her body that she'd never had before, she started following him around like a dog.

For like the longest time Norton did not understand why this random sixteen year old was following him around since he was only at the manor because he was promised money but slowly understood that Maru was in love with him.

He didn't have it in him to break the heart of such a attention and affection young girl so he just showed acts of slight kindness towards her but he also eventually falls in love.

He starts liking the control and "superiority" he had over Maru since she followed all of his words without question. Since Norton was so used to being beneath other people's feet from working in the mines for most of the time not only did he fall in love with the much younger girl he also fell in love with the feeling of control

And that's kinda how their twisted and fucked up relationship kinda begins

Oh my it is fucked up-

I mean, not really a fan of relationship like that here so yeah ToT I'd certainly be their biggest shipper when both are adults but for now it's just kinda weird and... nah really

Like simply not a dan of it but the OC idea was great! And still loving it ^^

Just the age difference kinda caught me off guard hah

The performer backstory

Growing up in a really poor Malaysian family Maru Wan started doing sex work at a very young age. By the age of twelve she started picking up singing and dancing. One day while walking down the streets a bar owner saw Maru's talent and took her in to work for him as a stage performer.

After a few years of Maru performing at the bar her employer ends up falling in love with her. One night after work while Maru was changing out of her stage outfit her employer bursts into her room completely drunk and tries taking advantage of her. The poor girl in a moment of panic picks up the microphone sitting on her desk and bashes it onto his head resulting in him dying.

Looking at now her completely bloody face and hands she then in a fit of panic ran as far away from the bar promising herself to never come back.

It has been 4 years since that incident. The bar was closed a day after the owners corpse has been found lying around backstage and Maru was taken into questioning and fortunately for her was found innocent. After questioning when Maru came to her house she found a mysterious letter signed [redacted] on her door step and she opens it

This would be one of her biggest mistake in life
