I do think I'm too young (or more accurately, too inexperienced) for Black Sails to hit for me as hard as it can, and I think sensing this is what has prevented me from watching it yet. Like, however it might hit now, I know it's going to be Worse watching it at like 38 or 40. Right now I'm just a failure because I've never accomplished anything. I think you have to have reached failure-because-I-accomplished-something-and-then-lost-it stage before it's really going to work the way its supposed to

I do think the key to success in this class is to come out swinging with a very individualistic interpretation of the assigned reading, and the more big-picture, intricately un-surface level you can go with that interpretation the better, in which case I think my major points

London as more than a setting, but a vast organic network that connects the characters to itself and to each other, and which the characters create and add to through their own actions and responses to the actions of others

and

the individual is ultimately an isolated, formless consciousness which is shaped and defined by its surroundings and experiences and the more connections an individual makes with those surroundings-- through observation and interaction-- the more developed and defined the individual becomes and the more a person becomes Themself but also more deeply connected to/part of others

are going to get me a good grade for sure

Finally onto the Mrs. Dalloway paper, which I will work on most of the day and expect to spend most of my work shift tonight on-- it's going exactly as I expected, which means I've almost effortlessly written nearly the expected length, but am only just starting to figure out what I'm actually trying to say, so who knows how much of that will be kept

#will they get me an A+ though?? that is all I care about #I don't think I will get that Insanely glowing response of my last one but I also have less ground to break #but I want another A+ on this course for my send off #the college saga continues
