@madmathis18 has asked for some lams recommendations so I come baring gifts.

First let’s start with authors. Their are so many good writters in this fandom and it’s hard to recommend just one of their works since all of them are very good. So here are a couple of my favs.

1. @peblezq is an extremely talented writer and most of their works can be found on ao3. They have a variety of content, ranging from historical to modern, from fluffy to downright depressing. Theirs a lot to choose from so browse to see what you like! :D

One work I’d really recommend from them is Little Lavender. I can’t praise this story enough so just check it out, I promise you it’s amazing.

2. @binch-i-might-be Once again a very talented writer that is mostly found on ao3. Oh man where do I even start. There is so much good content to find here and it’s incredible. You want fluff? Rays got it. Angst? It’s there. Smut? Yes indeed. Just check it out, hands down one of my favs.

3. @sunnyrea Big fan of them, Jesus I love their fics so much. Where to start oh my god. So much aides content! So much lams! So much angst! I love it, words cannot express how much I adore their fics. Not to mention they’ve written a book!

If you want somewhere to start, try one of my favorite stories, The Garret. Everything you could ever want in a story and more. Just read all their works, please.

4. @benoname One of my very dearest freinds, and consequently one of my favorite authors. Their work is so varied and entertaining. So creative and just downright amazing. I haven’t read a bad story from them, not once. I have so many works I’d recommend but I think my favorite would be the one linked below. I warn you though, it’s definitely a gut punch at the end.

Those are all the ones id highly recommend, but don’t stop at just them! Theirs plenty of amazing writters in this community, and all their works are great reads. Ok my hands are starting to hurt so I’ll stop writing here-

Here’s some fun facts about one of my favorite stories being told in Hamilton: this is Ariana Debose, who plays a special role within the ensemble known as The Bullet. She’s killed for suspected espionage right after You’ll Be Back, and is the first one to die (not counting Hamilton’s mother or cousin who hangs himself). After this moment, she becomes an omen of death. At the beginning of Stay Alive, she carries a shot that narrowly avoids hitting Hamilton. In Yorktown, she helps Laurens kill a redcoat, shakes his hand, then Laurens is the next to die. In I Know Him, she’s the one bringing the message to King George about John Adams and symbolically heralding the impending doom of Hamilton’s political career. During Blow Us All Away, she’s the one who tells Phillip where to find George Eacker, (and flirts with him! Phillip is literally flirting with death!) then Phillip is the next to die. In Your Obedient Servent, she brings the desk on stage and hands Burr the quill to write the first of several letters that will eventually lead to Alexander Hamilton’s death. During the final duel, she again catches a bullet (fired by Burr), and if you watch her, she gets closer and closer to hitting Hamilton while he’s doing his soliloquy until Eliza pops onto stage. At this point, The Bullet is stopped by other members of the ensemble, the time freeze is abandoned, and we all know what happens‬ next. (soure: JC Payne)

I think that the Hamilton musical is objectively the funniest thing that could happen to that man's memory. Imagine dying of a gunshot wound infection in 1804 and learning from the afterlife that tweenage girls in 2017 are drawing thousands upon thousands of images of you making out with your fellow congressmen because someone wrote a 2-hour rap opera about you. I like to imagine that Hamilton found a monkey's paw and wished to leave a legacy, and this is what it did to him.

I really need to talk about this. I've noticed a lot of people in the Hamilton fandom blame Alexander for Philip's death. I'm telling you why that's wrong. First off, what Eacker said had nothing to do with the affair or Reynolds Pamphlet. He said that Hamilton would not be opposed to overthrowing Jefferson's presidency by force. Aiming at the sky was a common practice for dueling, and like a final attempt to make peace. Philip was 19, he was old enough to know what he was doing when he challenged him to a duel. He couldn't have backed out of the duel, or he would've been labeled as a coward, and bring dishonor to the family name. Another thing, it was not only Eliza's loss, and some people act like she was the only parent that suffered. At Philip's funeral, Alexander had to be held up by 2 or 3 people so he wouldn't collapse. He also grieved a lot and blamed himself. Blaming him for Philip's death is really unfair and messed up.
