I think when mmorpgs cease updating and close down servers they should become single player game files that everybody who bought it can continue to play around in offline. It will literally never be the same without the presence of other people but I’m sure people will still get a kick out of gposing in ffxiv and rerunning the drk side quest every now and again. It’s not closing soon they still want to go for like 10 years I just think about it often. Games like this are something people can pour a decades work into and then one day when the servers are shut down all of that just evaporates into thin air
