Living in an apartment building was tough. There were endless turns, endless rooms, and an endless number of paths he could take to get to the apartment. In truth, Ace was lucky to find the building in the first place. Now the only problem was finding his room.
Too bad he had no idea where it was. Buuuuut it was a good thing Ace was well-versed in practical life skills such as scaling buildings.
âHuh, what do you mean? We met each other not too long ago--donât you remember? Iâm Ace. I found you crying on the floor outside.â As Ace spoke, he began to push aside the glass and began to climb into the room.
âThatâs strange. Why are you in my room?â He paused for a moment, noticing Mikotoâs posture. âWhy are you undressing in my room?â
@whereiat
He let out a heavy sigh, letting his button up fall off his shoulders. He slipped his arms out of his sleeves, carelessly tossing the shirt aside. Every motion felt strenuous, and cleanliness was the last thing on his mind. All Mikoto wanted to do was get comfy, lie down, and relax to some music. His hands reached down, gripping the bottom of his t-shirt, prepping to change into his sleepwear. Before lifting off his shirt, he happened to glance towards his window to see a sight more horrifying than he could have ever prepared for.
âWho are you!? Why are you climbing through my window?! How are you climbing through my window?! What do you want from me?!â
Voice trembling, he grabbed the nearest pillow to shield himself what whoever was trespassing inside his bedroom.

Minato was minding his own business when he heard the officer and some stranger going back and forth. It wasnât really anything of his concern, at least not until they decided to rope him into it. Fortunately for Minatoâs sake, heâd met quite a few⌠Unique people back home, and wasnât unaccustomed to being roped into some kind of confusing situation.
âI guess so. But thereâs better places to  enjoy the outdoors compared to here.â
His answer wasnât a lie, in Wonderland there were plenty of places to go and see. While it wasnât his business really, Minato figured he might as well try to help the guy not get into any further trouble while he was involved.
âSo, how about it?â
âWhat do you mean? Are you offering to show me? Itâs been weeks since I was able to find anywhere to go besides this bland neighborhood.â Ace turned his attention from the officer to the newcomer he managed to call over. The officer sighed in relief, glad to have a break from his circular conversation.
Judging by how tramped the nearby area was, Ace had been âexploringâ this particular neighborhood relatively aggressively... or, rather, backtracking a dozen or so too many times. Either way, the area as a whole would clearly benefit from Aceâs departure.
âSo, where do you want to go?â

âShut up!â Mikoto stuttered, raising an arm to cover his embarrassment. He could feel his cheeks burn as he glared at the taller man. âIâm normally way cooler than this! Way cooler!âÂ
The boy paused his tantrum upon hearing the strangerâs question. He stood silent, mouth slightly agape, but at a loss for words. His mind screamed at him to lie, ashamed of the truth, but the desire of consulting in someone outweighed his shame. There would be no way this information would reach the ears of his friends back home anyway, right?
âDonât laugh, okay? Before I fell here I just bought a new figure, but now that Iâm stuck in this place Iâve lost her forever. I canât do anything to get her back.â
âCooler?â Ace removed a glove from his hand to place the back of it on the other boyâs forehead. âJudging by how hot you are now, itâs not hard to believe youâre normally cooler.â
Ace gave him his trademarked inquisitive stare. Perhaps this man had a fever. After all, why else would he be acting like a young, vulnerable girl? As he spoke, Ace tilted his head to the side to catch a better glimpse of the boyâs face. Maybe he was imagining it, but for a moment Ace was sure he saw the beginnings of teary eyes.
âIt wouldnât be very knightly for me to laugh at the plight of a maiden in distress,â he said with a joking tone. âI donât know what youâre talking about, but being lost and losing things isnât so bad. Things go, and things come. Something else is surely to take its place.â

âAre you sure about that, officer?â Ace stroked his chin as spoke to a man in uniform. âIâm not trespassing if Iâm not on someone elseâs property! Hm.. What? I am? When did this manâs property manage to get right under my feet?â
Ace and the uniformed spoke back and forth. With each cheerful word that came from Aceâs mouth, the officer seemed more and more annoyed with him. It seemed as if the knight was too dense to understand that something might be wrong.
âHey, young man, you can vouch for me right,â Ace called gesturing toward the blue kid, â thereâs nothing wrong with enjoying the great outdoors and exploring the wilderness.â
Despite the words that came from Aceâs mouth, it was clear that he had just been walking all over someoneâs personal garden.

The flames of Aceâs bonfire cracked on the marble floor of the local shopping mall. Mall-goers walked around him in a wide arc to avoid him and the makeshift camp he set up, complete with a tent. Ace hummed to himself as he maintained his sword, making sure to clean and oil his sword before he eventually turned in for the night.
A flash of yellow caught Aceâs eye across the campfire. Was that person staring? He couldnât see clearly due to the distortion of the light from the heat of the flames. Either way, he decided to wave.
âHey, you donât have to just stand there--if you wanted to sit down and join me, I donât mind at all.â

Once he heard the sounds of someone approaching, Mikoto stiffened and grew silent. Wiping away his tears with his sleeve, he stared towards the knight while trying his best to act as nonchalant as possible. However, upon hearing the strangerâs comments, his face flushed red and his miserable state was quickly turned defensive.
âIâm clearly not a maiden! Just look at me! Iâm a natural ladykiller.â He paused after his last word and turned away, hiding his pouting face. âW-well I am usually. Just pretend you didnât see or hear me earlier!â Mikoto silently scolded himself, embarrassed by the pitiful state he was seen in.
âWhat do you want with me anyway?âÂ
âHaha, do âladykillersâ usually curl up and cry outside?â Ace spoke with a practiced, cheery smile. âSince Iâm a knight I canât just pretend I didnât see you just now. That would be dishonest, you know.â
âI came here to save a crying girl I heard, but it looks like I found you instead. Iâm Ace, the former Knight at the Castle of Hearts. Since this wonderland doesnât have a Castle, Iâm a free man now!â
âSo... Why are you crying?â

[[Hey there party people, Itâs me. I finally stopped watching youtube videos long enough to sayyyyyy like this for a starter! Iâll cap this at like 2 or something.
Hereâs a brief summary of who Ace is for those unfamiliar with him: Ace is a practiced fool with zero sense of direction who likes to bug people.]]

How unlucky of him. First Ace managed to get himself lost in the woods, then he fell into a pitfall only to be lost again in a whole other world. Things just never seemed to go his way.
The soles of his boots crunched through dried leaves on the floor as Ace wandered in an arbitrary direction. In the distance he could hear the sounds of what he could only assume were the cries of a little girl throwing a tantrum. With nothing else to do, Ace decided to investigate. He was a knight after all, and what kind of knight would he be if he didnât rescue a fair maiden.
âOh.â A silence hung in the hair for a moment as Ace merely stared at the boy with the red hair. âYouâre not a fair maiden.â
âActually... On second thought, you might be one.â
@whereiat
âWhy⌠this isnât real, right? Thereâs no way this just happened.â
Mikoto sat on the floor, curled with his knees close to his chest, face hidden in his arms. He had tried pinching himself, slapping his cheeks, doing anything in an attempt to wake up from this bad dream. Yet, nothing changed. The world around him stayed the same, feeling just as real as the world he was used to.Â
He sobbed quietly, hoping with all his heart time would just turn back to how it was before. To a place with her.
âI canât believe my figure is gone!â

yo what up its ace from the whatever no kuni no alice series. my info is under /app and this is the blog
You are such an interesting person! Though, I think murder is a little too strong of an occupation, Iâll accept it~
Welcome to Wonderland, ACE!
Your sword is most impressive and it can continue transforming as normal into whatever gun you want. But be warned, you only get 6 total bullets per week. So you better use them wisely. As for your time manipulation whatchamacallit, you can use the ability 5 times a day, but you can only use it for 5 seconds at a time. Better hope that youâre fast~
Please make sure that you follow everyone on the masterlist and introduce yourself. Maybe even take a gander at the open starters and see if anything catches your fancy. Help me welcome Wonderlandâs newest victim tenant.
