Motonari walks over and wipes her face with his thumb. Despite his cold reputation he’s gentle with this. As if familiar with it. “If at one point I disappear-.” He whispers to her. “It wasn’t of my volition. Keep that in mind.” If he finds a way to leave…he can’t leave her alone. He can’t do that. That would be cruel. Especially with…before. 

“Frankly I’m sorry we left you to yourself the first time. Husbandless with only your brother…” He doesn’t chastise her brother. He’s unsure of how she feels about him. Even if her family was questionable, it’s hard to disown your own kin. That is something he can understand as well. 

“Don’t let yourself be caught by anyone suspicious if you can help it. Or eat or drink anything you didn’t see prepared.” This was his own advice he was imparting onto her. “It’s what I’ve done since I arrived. Perhaps it’s why I didn’t disappear.” 

She had received his whispers but the feeling is mutual, when one of them disappears caused by the ‘stars’ themselves. Whatever the ‘stars’ power is, that is something Nobunaga can’t surpass with if they can negate their strengths.

“It’s alright. Ichi knew that this was an ordeal given by fate.” As much as she doesn’t want to stay at her brother for long, she had no other choice but to obey him. He is very capable of not caring and killing anyone who is disloyal to the Oda.

“Ichi will take that in mind. Ichi will do her best to remain here and pray for him to return.” She had taken his advice but there is always hope in despair. Someday, Nagamasa will return here. He is the only one who can calm her down when she is angry through emotions.

Motonoari’s company is appreciated for her as they lived in the same Ancient Japan of their world.

The interesting thing about the city-gifted datapad is that some of the components beneath its shell are so utterly unfamiliar, so completely unknown, that Anakin is certain he has never seen them before in his entire life. The innerworkings of the datapad are strange and new, and for all that Anakin hates the fact that it’s essentially a present from the elusive people who are apparently imprisoning everyone here, he’s also intrigued by it. It’s undeniably fascinating, simply because it’s just so different.

It’s also undeniably… antique – or at least, it works like an antique. It’s inefficient. The city-gifted datapad so obviously lacks the capabilities of the comlink on his wrist – which of course doesn’t work here – and Anakin can tell that the device’s range is limited. Or maybe stunted is a better word. Whoever put together this datapad obviously never meant for any signal to ever breach this planet’s atmosphere.

So while the unfamiliarity is interesting, that doesn’t correlate with being technologically impressive.

Anakin folds his arms across his chest. Well, back to the first idea. ❝ You said this planet doesn’t have a comm hub. Are you sure about that? ❞

Maybe not having an easily-accessible comm hub of some sort makes sense considering, well, the whole kidnapping thing – but what kind of developed planet doesn’t have a comm hub? This is a sprawling city, not a prison camp.

Oichi had no idea about comm hubs and stuff, prior to her unfamiliarity to almost everything due to living in different timelines where ancient samurai shouldn’t be alive but in Spirale, that didn’t matter. Technology is sometimes can be interesting but mostly confusing to others in genera due to unfamiliarity.

She wasn’t so sure about comm hub that he was talking about but it could be the source of signals for mobile phones and such as she’d really need to learn about technology or two one of these days.

“Ichi wishes she’s wrong. Ichi only guessed to find out if there was one.” It should be having one of those structures that supports phone signals and such. There has to be it as she had never seen one in her whole life. 

If some others that Spirale is a sprawling city, some may considered thinking that it was a prison camp with an island-wide walls, which is  very strange.

Gone huh? 

So either Azai is a coward or something went wrong in Isola. Perhaps they can take whoever they want as well? That’s a frightening thought. 3 people from his world, gone in one swoop like it was nothing. Two he barely knew, the other he was a bit more familiar. 

That was what he reminisced on for now. He thought about what he said to Azai, how horrid he thought his actions were and how he should gave at least given Oichi some form of condolences. Maybe even some sort of sanctuary with her husband gone.  He won’t make the same mistake twice. He closes the gap between them and grabs her shoulder squeezing it and looking down at her.  “…Nothing. It isn’t your fault. It’s the fault of the gods of this world. I’m still here and have no intent to leave anytime soon, Oichi. This is a time of crisis, in moments like these we should stick together as much as possible.” 

He won’t leave her be to her own darkness this time. If he can find a way to fight the gods of this world, it would be best to keep her close after all. It wasn’t because he was feeling empathy of all things. Nope. Not even a little. This was purely a tactical maneuver, at least that’s what he told himself. 

To hear that all three were gone in one swoop, it is indeed worrying and frightening at the same time.

Oichi deeply appreciates company, as long as one lives in the same world as hers. Everything was a heavy burden to her ever since she had arrived here first before her husband and Katsuie. Every single moment with Nagamasa and Katsuie now became memories of her that she wished to keep them forever in this place.

She appreciates Motonari for doing this for her. To accompany her at least.

“Ichi is glad to hear it... Ichi doesn’t want to be alone.” As tears shedding on her face, Oichi wipes them off as she tries to be strong as not to let her emotions take over her. She cared less on what Motonari is up to but his presence is enough to care about.

“To stick together, yes. Ichi would do the same and will not leave this place.” It was also a good thing that she can talk to others now than being silent for the rest of her time.

“They’re gone... Katsuie, Lord Nagamasa.” Oichi now becoming despondent when her husband and friend no longer in this place. She promised him not to leave her and live together, now that promise is broken like a shattered glass.

“Ichi is alone now. Alone with unknown people. What did Ichi done this time?”

 “…Shadows? Is that some sort of hidden meaning, or does the Oda bloodline have priests in it now.” It wouldn’t be too uncommon, for prestigious bloodlines to have magic in them. 

Of how she obtained these controllable dark shadows is merely a mystery for her and for the whole Oda clan. Until now, she still can’t remember about it.

“Only Ichi can control them, regardless of how Ichi uses it.” The way she uses those dark shadowed hands is merely on her. Nagamasa wasn’t wrong that she is stronger than him even if their elements are in the opposite. She wished that she can use them again in her ways but the ‘gods’ locked it out.

And by combat, by far a more noble end then what he had gone through. It was , not honorable to die by sickness and almost miss the battle. His body double must have gone through hells of his own, to persuade people. 

 “As one of the Oda bloodline, one would expect you to have better memory. Though I suppose you were never one for battle. Nor the life style our country had.”

“Yes. Brother had told me to do so.” Oichi would not want to talk about Nagashino but there it is anyway. She was always looked depressed but it became even worse in her mental health. Only thing she wanted is to be with her husband Nagamasa. She doesn’t know the ‘Oichi’ of his world but guessing that she lived a better life, unlike her.

“Ichi is jealous to the other ‘Ichi’ of your world. Ichi only brings ruin, once the shadows finally respond to me.” She wanted to know more about her other world’s self, if he wants to talk about Oichi’s ‘other self’.

It is always a curious thing, to know other versions of yourself exists. And that he would like to compare, on how honorable the other is. 

Oichi wondered what does her other ‘self’ looked like. Knowing that they came from a different ‘Warring States’ the historical fate remains the same... depending on how it goes.

“He is quite tall, looked like some kind of a horned animal or a lion on his armor. He carries a giant axe and somehow,” Oichi needed a breather but she resumed. “Ichi doesn’t know him well as never met other than Nagashino to defeat him along with a ninja and a boy with two spears. Ichi never knew their names.” She won’t lie that she doesn’t even know those two.

​Oichi forgot what was her purpose in Golden but she just wanted to visit Nagamasa or Katsuie which could be at Archimedes to know how were they doing but there is one man who tends to work every single time. Either he was about to head on to his job or hobby or returning to his ward, she never knew.

Only thing that concerns her is his well-being, strangers aside.

“Were you heading back to your home or working around?” Probably she may never get the concept of ‘working around’, Seiichirou could be having a job or it was just her imagining things.

If he ever does want to return to his ward, she might go with him.

She almost reminds him as the one Shingen she barely knew and defeated in her world that time at Nagashino when her brother ordered to do so but knowing this is Spirale, their natural conflict like in their Warring States isn’t necessary as it be peaceful for both of them.

“Ichi almost reminds you of that big man of my world.” She couldn’t help but to remember that man.

 “Ah.”

Was it awkward, that he didn’t actually want to meet anyone from the same period as he was from? It’s something that he wished would never happen, but here we are again.

In a game show that their language is commonly used, Oichi had no idea what was going on that she was inside in some kind of a show. There is a water tank with someone sitting on it. It took a little time to observe that it was merely water. If this was in her world and this was a thing, what are the worse things could be possible?

“H-Hello...” A shy-ish greeting. Her reaction is quite in a mix of doubt and confusion altogether as either she asks him the questions or someone providing her a reading material to follow in a natural way, or known as a script for those living in an industrialized era. She only pointed herself on the asking process as the camera crew says yes, leaving her a sigh. Oh, she had some questionnaires in her hand, how adorable as she didn’t hear what he said on her going easy on him.

She started to pick one of the questions and seemed... bit personal but who cares, she had to entertain them. Oh, this one’s related to her previous battles since the mist was a thing. “W-What did Oichi do in a snowy garrison and who was her enemy?” One of the crew members gave her a set of balls just in case if she misses.

She awaits for him for at least longer seconds to answer as the clock ticks.

                   Kiyomasa swung his legs as he sat in the seat above the dunk tank. This wasn’t at all how he wanted to meet the Demon King’s younger sister ! How was Kiyomasa supposed to get her to spread the word about his talents to Nobunaga ? There was no way that he could show off his genius in the middle of this silly game. To make matters worse, Kiyomasa hadn’t heard anywhere near as much about Oichi as he had her brother. And today, how much of his dignity he’d get to keep depended on Kiyomasa’s knowledge of her.

                    ❛❛ The way today’s event goes is this —– today, our special guest is the one who asks the questions ! Miss Oichi here will ask me questions about herself, and I have to answer them correctly. If I get three in a row wrong, then it’s into the dunk tank I go. ❜❜ Was the crew going to have Oichi read off of a script ? Or would they let her create her own questions ? Kiyomasa peeked around, but he couldn’t find any clues pointing to either scenario.

                    ❛❛ So, Miss Oichi…it’s not too much to ask you to go easy on me, right ? ❜❜ Kiyomasa clasped his hands together and winked, causing the audience to giggle. Beneath Kiyomasa’s jokey attitude, though, his words were dead serious. He could hope that Oichi would take the hint and give him easy questions, right ?

Headcanons in a Face

Regarding the increase of newcomers in Spirale, Oichi only depends if the newcomer themselves are friendly or not if Nagamasa isn't around. She is generally a nice lady but in a sad face most likely.

As long as one can understand the life she's been through, she considers that one as a friend to her.

Headcanons in a Face

Literally one thing that makes her one is definitely how she controls her emotions. Sometimes she's sad or happy but mostly neutral-looking. It was all solely depends of how she behaves in general interactions.

Oichi may have dust that isn't even spent or stars used for her unlockable abilities but in her terms, maybe she chose to save her dust and stars for her future uses but still never knew about modern tech that much.

She's not really a bad person. Only thing that makes her one is when she is provoked when something bad happened to Nagamasa, mostly or those very dear to her that she'll lose herself that she's in for the kill with the shadowed hands she uses.

Whatever grudge he had against Nagamasa shouldn’t have involved her in the slightest ! And yet here his brother-in-law was, using her like a mere tool. How had Nagamasa failed to notice how evil Nobunaga was until he’d arrived in Spirale ? Nagamasa dodged the first attack, but the second pierce clipped his shoulder. He then raised his wooden sword in an attempt to parry the slash.

                    ❛❛ Why have you betrayed me ? Whatever could I have done to drive you to try to ‘kill me again’, as you say ? Did our alliance, our brotherhood and camaraderie, mean nothing to you ?! ❜❜ Nagamasa’s voice shook a bit with that last question. There was a time when he’d seen Nobunaga as an older brother of sorts, but that was over, now. Nobunaga’s crimes towards both him and Ichi were unforgivable.

“Fate seemed fickle, it is.” He doesn’t care about suspicions and whatnot. He is Nobunaga after all, until he starts talking about something that could annoy him in the future.

“Does it really matter? She is merely a tool for my conquest, like you, Nouhime and Ranmaru. I do what i want with Ichi.” His officers were always treated like nothing for him. Sure, Nobunaga was married to Nouhime but she is still a soldier of Oda, let along with Ranmaru and his sister Oichi. They were just instruments of his conquest to make the Land of the Rising Sun in his own ways of rulings. However the betrayal word from Nagamasa, he had heard.

“Did you even forget that you became allies with the Asakura? You forgot about Anegawa?” As much as Nobunaga would humble Nagamasa, he is irate right now even in Ichi’s body and tone was used. “As for those, they used to mean something after i let you marry Ichi but it was all dissolved of what you did.” He stopped attacking him... for now.
