Hey, friends with poor memory. This is a sign to go ahead and learn anything you want, even if you're afraid you're going to forget it all. Read Wikipedia articles, watch documentaries, take free classes, and delve deep into books and lore. Maybe I'm the only one who has this fear, maybe not. But learning for pleasure is just as much--if not moreso-- about the joy of the experience as it is about memorization.

I think that 2023 is a good time for many of us, and allies in particular, to practice again the dying art of minding our own fucking business when it comes to the identities and lives of other people.

You see someone from one of your classes in a public place with a different gender presentation/expression than they typically have? Mind your own business.

You discover that one of your coworkers is in a same gender relationship, but they aren't out at work? Not your place to share that information in the workplace.

You notice that your neighbor in a red state takes a road trip across state lines with their transgender child every 3-6 months? No you fucking didn't.

You overhear students in your classroom using a different name and different pronouns for one student than you are used to using? If you live in a state hostile to trans rights, pretend that you don't know anything about this and report nothing.

You suspect that an acquaintance of yours might be gay, but they deny it when asked directly? Leave them the fuck alone.

One of your friends refuses to publicly label their sexuality? Good for them, you aren't entitled to that information anyway.

Your sibling comes out to you as questioning, but isn't comfortable sharing that with your parents yet? Keep your fucking mouth shut.

Don't out people; coming out is a personal choice not a moral obligation. Don't demand personal information about other people's sexuality or sex lives. You aren't entitled to information about anyone's gender identity, assigned gender at birth, or transition.

Bring back privacy, allow people to have control over the information that is shared about them publicly; it might save their job, their housing, their parental rights and their child's safety, or even save lives.

Birdmen drawpile - Barbara Novak

What better way to start the new year than to have more Birdmen content? We’ve met her a few chapters back in the scanlation and she’s already a favorite. Let’s show our strong willed queen some love with a draw pile (ᗒᗨᗕ)

A big thank you to @soutakayama (ghost) who once again kindly accepted to lend me hand with the event.

The event starts on January 6th and ends on February 3rd.

Fill out the short form so we can tag you and choose the drawing you want to add to the pile, then click “Participate”.

What’s new? We’ve broaden our reach beyond Tumblr. You can now specify your Twitter or/and Discord handle name since we’ll be posting on these plateforms as well. You can even submit anonymously, though if you do, we won’t be able to notify you directly.

@soutakayama or I will add it to the montage and update the post of the drawpile for everyone to reblog the next day or so.

Quick guidelines for the submissions:

Anyone can participate! It’s an opportunity to show some love to our agitator;

You can draw Barbara however you want as long as it’s SFW and, if in birdmen form, her wings don’t take too much space;

Keep it simple :-)

One drawing per participant. You can submit more than once but we’ll only consider the most recent one;

File must be in PNG or JPG;

For digital artists:

Around 1000 x 1300px would be good;

Transparent background.

For traditional artists:

Take a picture or scan your drawing in the best quality possible;

Make sure to have a thick, dark outline around Barbara so it’s easier for us to edit.

All that’s left to do is SPREAD THE WORD!!! <3
