It’s true to say that every bride leaves their mark on me, I get so immersed in creating a dress that I feel like their personal touches become personal to me also. Creating a dress covered in daisies, reminded me of (I think) the second ever wedding dress I created. Still ploughing though my post-grad degree at London College of Fashion. I didn’t have fancy cutters back then, so I (and my poor mum) made paper templates and hand cut two layers of petals for each gardenia flower and hand embroidered to Laura’s dress. I wanted to design a dress that no one else has ever worn, which is how I found Charlotte of Wilden Bridal. I’ve never met anyone who understands the silhouette and construction of a dress like Charlotte does, she made whatever I asked for possible, even when the details I wanted were not so typical or easy to make.
